We checked the cameras on occasion to see how she was doing. Once, the second day in, we saw a larger doodle-type of dog attempt to mount her. It was quickly broken up, and I didn't think much of it. Then on her last day, we checked the cameras again. We witnessed the same dog and a second dog repeatedly chase her around and continue to violate her. She was obviously very distraught, and it was disturbing to watch. The entire time, the attendant was on his phone and was oblivious to what was going on. This occurred for at least an hour. Needless to say, I called and left a message stressing my concerns. I also followed up the next day via email. This was 5 days ago, and I never got a response back from them. At this point, I don't feel safe bringing Sophie back there. They failed to protect her from aggressive dogs. I've included one of our screenshots of the event. It clearly shows our dog being violated while the employee was right there note paying attention. I have many more screenshots that I also sent via email. I have heard back from them.

This update is a bit overdue (this happened last year in April of 2025), but it's been a very tough…read moretime. The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.
