    Shrimp Parm
    Laks N.

Nice friendly people at the restaurant. I was trying to pick between the standard Chicken Parm and Shrimp Parm. The server helped out. I got the Shrimp Parm and it was very good. Jalapen Poppers were good as well. We noticed that the hall inside is fairly large and could accomodate a decent sized party, which they were preparing today for. Good dining experience.

Our party of 18 in a quaint corner. Look at those plates! Everyone was happy.

The food at Gisella's was very good with huge portions. Most of us had left overs. Their sauce is so yummy! Our server, Michelle was simply a doll! The restaurant is clean and cozy. We had 18 guests and they set us up in a great corner where we were not disturbed. One huge plus as well is the great prices. They are very reasonable. We will go back again!

The food was amazing. I ordered the chicken Parmesan with penne pasta with vodka sauce. Michelle the server a beautiful person. My first time at this establishment . Michelle was very helpful with recommending what to eat. I love when a server has a recommendation. So you don't have to keep turning pages. Great vibes there. Will be back again

    Chicken Marsala with Pasta

The salad greens were very crisp & cold. Dressing was amazing paired so well the the house made croutons. Fresh bread with EVO is my choice. Portion size are well worth the price! Marsala was so good all I did was add some butter. The service was excellent!

    Salùd!

As a proud, card-carrying member of the "Find the Best Wings in Connecticut" father-son tour, I…read morehave to start by tipping my hat to my fellow Yelpers... because you were absolutely right. My son and I rolled into TK's American Cafe with high hopes and empty stomachs, ready to see if this stop could challenge the reigning champions of our wing universe: J. Timothy's Taverne and The Groggy Frog. Punchline: It didn't dethrone the champs... but the experience itself was still pretty great. First, the atmosphere is fantastic. Old wooden booths, high tops, TVs right at the table, KENO(!!!), and that perfect slightly chaotic sports-bar energy that tells you wings are about to happen. The décor fits the town vibe perfectly and the place just feels like a wing institution. The service? Excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic -- exactly the kind of crew you want guiding you through 70+ wing sauces like a sommelier of poultry. Now... the wings. The chicken itself was excellent quality and cooked perfectly. Crispy skin, juicy meat, great size -- everything you want when the wings arrive. When we saw the massive sauce selection, we were ready for wing nirvana. But this is where the prophecy of Yelp reviews past came true. The sauces were delicious in flavor... but thin in viscosity. Instead of lovingly clinging to the wings like a good sauce should, many of them staged a dramatic escape and formed a puddle at the bottom of the platter. So instead of eating wings, we spent half the meal doing a sort of wing-dunking relay, re-dipping each bite back into the sauce lagoon. To be fair, the teriyaki and barbecue-based sauces held on better, but if you're a classic hot-sauce wing person like me, you may find your wings swimming more than sticking. The blue cheese was excellent, the celery and veggies were fresh and crisp... although the carrots were so wide they looked like they were cut for a horse with impressive jaw strength. Credit where it's due: the steak fries were fantastic, and the nachos were surprisingly great -- the kind that taste like something you could make at home... except somehow way better. So where do we land? Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Very good food overall. But on the Connecticut Wing Power Rankings, the crown still belongs to J. Timothy's and The Groggy Frog. Would I come back? Maybe... but on the drive home we passed about six intriguing Brazilian restaurants and a Pepe's pizza, and suddenly my lunch decision tree got complicated. Still, I'm glad we tried it. TK's is a fun spot with a great vibe -- just maybe bring a spoon so you can scoop the sauce back onto your wings. PS: if you stick blend/emulsify some xanthan gum into the wing sauce when you're making it hot... It will stick perfectly to the wings... In case improvement is something you're interested in

I'm continuing my tour of the great CT wing places. My latest first was TK's. We visited right as…read morethey were opening on a Tuesday around 11 a.m. on our way out of CT on vacation. The focus of our visit for me was wings, but I also tried some tasty cheese topped chili with chips. And my son's steak fries. They were gigantic! As for the wings, the chicken was high quality and had good texture. The blue cheese was above average, and there lots of pieces of celery and carrots. Most of my comments are about the sauce. I tried 3 sauces. The Hot Buffalo Sauce, which I understand is a CT favorite, was good, but it didn't really stick to the wing. Some of the sauce may have been absorbed in to the skin of the wing, but it wasn't that noticeable flavor-wise. There was a small pool of sauce at the Bottom of the basket rather than on the wings. I suspect the wings weren't adequately tossed in the sauce. Or maybe it was a thin batch of sauce and didn't stick for that reason. In any event, the sauce situation was not ideal for the Buffalo wings. My favorite sauce was the Fire & Ice, which consisted of TK's hot sauce, Ranch and Horseradish. This sauce stuck better to the wings. It had a nice rounded flavor. Mild heat, A bit of tang. A very good sauce. My third sauce was the Dragon. This sauce also stuck to the wing well. It consisted of Honeyaki, Ginger, Suicide sauce and seasoned seeds. The sauce was pretty good, but it didn't taste like I expected given the menu description. I didn't pick up any Ginger, which was what I found intriguing about the description. The sports bar/restaurant itself was cool. There were plenty of big TV's. And smaller TV's at the tables along the outside. Service was very good and friendly. I'd definitely check out TK's again. Next time, I'd probably try to visit at a later time when there were a few more customers there because I wonder if some of the sauce issues were related to it being an off peak time. 4.25 Stars

My wife and son were super excited to try barbecue at this famous local spot, but we definitely caught them on an off night. They didn't have the sausage for the combination platter and came out a couple of minutes later saying they had it (most likely just seared because the smoke was not there when we were eating). They were out of Brussel sprouts. They were out of MUSTARD !! I ordered a house pilsner they were out and I ordered another beer. Need i say more? On a good note they can barbecue. The brisket was very good. Great smoke ring and true winner. The pulled pork and chicken both had good smoke. Chicken was a bit on the dry side, but it was still good. Baked beans were good. My wife absolutely loved the cole slaw. Waitress was very good. Polite, apologetic and serviced us very well. We addressed our disappointment and hopefully by summer this famous BBQ spot can get back on track.

You can order in person, or online and pickup like I did. Order was ready when promised. When you order takeout, they give you an insulated food bag to keep your order warm as long as possible. The food is great. There is a wide variety of corn dogs, wings, soup dumpling, etc. I got the wings, beef fried rice, and corn dogs. I messed up with my corn dog order. I ordered the mozzarella dog which I assumed had a hot dog in it. I was wrong. You have to order the half mozzarella and half hot dog for that. Lesson learned. The breading was tasty and had lots of flavor. The wings are very crispy and tender. Lots of flavor and looks good for presentation in the box. The beef fried rice was very good. By the way, this is the kind of place where you order first then sit down with a table number and they bring it to you. The food came out lightning fast and it was pretty good all around. Dumplings and popcorn chicken were decent but the KFC with gochujang sauce and ramen broth were great. Messy chicken eatin' but so good. The pork in the ramen was okay but the broth and noodles were very flavorful and there was plenty of it. Didn't really care for the bamboo shoots but they were easily pushed aside. Besides the temperature of the food being cold, their haphazard management was inefficient , they made ordering changes for Father's Day Weekend, and the experience was highly disappointed. And for anyone traveling to try, know the brisket and ribs were extremely dry. My biggest issue, was that in my platter order, it contained the following low quality/low standards: 1) two ends from the point, and one end from the flat were in my 1/2 lbs of brisket- thats three ends. One looked like it was reheated from the day before- but this means an employee thought it was a good idea to put MULTIPLE brisket ends in one order. (Btw good bbq places make something called 'Burnt ends'-you should google that). 2) The pork ribs contained two rib points. Same issue as the brisket. This means an employee purposely gave my order the worst rib from two different racks. On top of that they were butchered and flavorless. 3) The star of the show, the $64 beef rib was an end cut (thats bad luck but...) and was dried out and contained no meat. They also did not call me when my takeout order was ready, (I had to ask about it, after 35 minutes PAST my estimated time, and it was just sitting there). It came with no BBQ sauce. 1/2 chicken was nothing to write home about, but at least it wasn't dry. The wings, RyThai Chile , were excellent, and I liked the blue cheese. I also liked the Brussel sprouts. The guy who took my order over the phone was great. I have never been to brother Jimmies but I suggest you go there over HooDoos. I would rather try a McRib over trying Hoodoo's again... No one should EVER travel here- this is just a good example of social media fame. Yuck.

It's well proofed, the perfect balance of chewy and tender, gently salted and seasoned to allow toppings to shine. The thin Neopolitan / Neapolitan style crust is best eaten fresh out of the oven, not by delivery or take-away. After many years of eating at Stanziato's, though, we have some additional observations: As at just about every other restaurant, service is variable. The wait staff tends to be beautiful and young, capable about 80% of the time and less so about 20% of the time. The front of the house was extremely disorganized on a recent visit and although it was not busy, we waited 10 minutes to be seated. (We noticed others waiting a long time by the door without acknowledgment, waiting to put in or pick up an order.) Our first hostess greeted us curtly, and then completely disappeared, leaving a colleague to pick up the pieces 10 minutes later. Salads are well designed, but not always well executed. On several recent visits, our salads were slightly gritty with sand or soil. (A supplier issue?) Lardons in a Harvest Salad were cut into overly large pieces, fried too far in advance, and ate like salty rubber erasers. When it's not gritty, the beet salad is still a winner. Pizzas are sometimes served unpleasantly and excessively charred -- not just spots that might be expected on a Neopolitan / Neapolitan style pizza, but whole sections of crust. When 13" diameter pizzas run north of $20, I'd hope for better quality control. There is huge variation in decor from room to room, a legacy of the real estate takeover of the Latin bar next door, perhaps. The original rooms run pubby; newer rooms run clubby. The parking lot is as tight as ever!
