Lobster ravioli was wonderful-perfectly al dente and only lobster stuffed within the pasta. The bisque/sauce accompanying it was wonderful. Not overpowering nor heavy. Shrimp topping was good- nothing spectacular there. The wine- lovely house wine! I am a sucker for happy hour and good deals. Mostly the wine quality suffers when you order the house wine. NOT here! Good service, unique food, has potential for growth. My meal started with a nice serving of house made bread, nice and soft, tasty in general. I ordered 2 HH items. HH have a good deal of varieties in half portion and that allow me to try different dishes. I have the chicken carbonara, the chicken has more flavor than the carbonara sauce and it was a bit liquidity. Just feel like it's missing some type of kick to say, this is so good but it's still ok. And I ordered Margarita Pizza. I have to say every Italian restaurant make everything different. There was a good amount of cheese but they're unevenly placed. If I was to share the pizza with others, I would fight for the one with cheese on top. Oil soaked through the pizza but the crust was nice and crunchy. There's a very generous amount of basil as well. It tasted good but it's not something I'm familiar with. There are a few promo going on through the restaurant's text or email club on top of Yelp. Yelp promo wasn't executed accordingly but I was by my self one mini canoli was good for me instead of the 2 offered, 10% off the meal was offered from the text club and Yelp for local resident. While my order was ready on time, that is not the issue. I have given Giuseppe and the Lion three times since taken new ownership. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering from here anymore. I have been going to noodles since 1992 and have always found the taste and quality to be consistent. Since the new ownership has taken place I see the prices have gone up and the portions have gotten smaller. I understand that Giuseppe must have paid a lot of money and needs to make a profit. I could forgive that, no problem but, the quality is what I can't accept. You can no longer taste the crusty pecorino cheese on the chicken with broccoli and the olive oil is obsolete. I'm pretty sure it's just greasy, cheap vegetable oil that they are using now. I really wanted to like this new ownership and support locally but I just can't justify the raise in prices for less quantity and most of all quality. read more

Went to Giuseppe and the Lion in Naples yesterday for "Sunday Brunch with Sinatra. The brunch was from 10 am to 3 pm. Our party of four (two couples) arrived at 10:30; no Sinatra. We ordered our breakfast. While we waited for our food, a table of 8 women started arriving. Well, they were rather loud, but there was no show yet, so it wasn't a big deal. I went to the restroom and asked a server when the show started. She said she didn't know if he was showing up because he normally is there when they open. When I returned from the restroom, the Sinatra singer had arrived and was setting up. I assumed (yes, I know) that once the show started, the ladies would keep it down. Absolutely incorrect! They were as noisy as ever. I finally called a server over and asked if he could do something with their table. There is a section toward the back of the restaurant where their loudness would not be so bothersome to the show. The server said that he would do something. Well, nothing ever happened. No one went over to their table to ask them to be more quiet during the show; no one ever offered to move them. About 20 minutes later, one of the men in our party asked a Server to have the manager come over. About 30 minutes later (with no Manager) another guest in our party spoke with a different server and mentioned that we had asked to see a Manager a while ago and no one had come over yet. The two men went to the restroom. While the men were away, the Manager did come over. She introduced herself and said she was the Owner and Manager. I told her that the table of eight was being extremely rude, not only to the performer, but to the other guests who wanted to enjoy the show. She told me that she thought I was being rude. She said it was a birthday party. I said people who came for the show could not even hear it. I asked if she would like it if I screamed during the show. She said she would ask me to leave. Guess that wasn't the same for the group of eight. She continued saying I was the one being rude. I realized she was not going to do anything about the group, and I told her thank you. I was done with her. That must have really annoyed her because she didn't leave the table and just wanted to continue to argue with me. She finally left. On our way out, one of the men in our party went to speak with her. She told him I was being rude. A simple apology would have sufficed; perhaps moving us a bit closer to the stage. None of that happened. She had very poor customer service skills. If she truly is the Owner/Manager, I'm sure this place will not last long. If you are offering a show, your customers have the right to expect that they will see/hear the show. The restaurant may be okay for dinner (food was average), but there is absolutely no concern for their guests to enjoy any show. Put Giuseppe and The Lion on your "must miss" list! read more

Maybe my standards for Italian food are high from living in NY with a ton of amazing Italian restaurants, but I wish I got sushi instead. The chicken was thick and the meat was good but it didn't taste like a traditional chicken Parm. Also the sauce was just ok--it was sort of chunky which I personally don't like as much. The bread appetizer was a little dense too, not like a light focaccia. However the sushi looked great and from what I tasted I really enjoyed it. Good portions. My family loves this place and I think it's a really cool concept to have Italian and sushi but the italian just didn't do anything for me. I had my son and daughter in law's baby shower yesterday. Once again I put my friend on the line and he came through, as he always does! I ordered 14 rolls for a sushi boat. The shower was this past Saturday at 1. Although Noodles does not open till 4pm on Saturdays , Seth found a sushi chef to come in and prepare my order and had it ready for pick up at 12! We started with the shrimp cocktail, I mean how hard is it to ruin shrimp cocktail... well when it comes to your table warm and mushy and smells God awful, yep you can ruin it. And of course this ruined our dinner because if you cannot get shrimp cocktail right, we have no faith that you can get anything else right. And to make it worse they had someone check on us, not our server, not five minutes after it was brought to the table, like they knew it was not right. This was the first time we went to Noodles The food was actually good but the big surprise came when the bill was presented. It listed the prices as set out on the menu, the total and the applicable tax. Then came an extra line entitled "Pay Cash Discount" which was not a discount at all but a surcharge to the total bill. In other words we were charged an additional 4% to the prices on the menu. If you pay by credit card. This is ridiculous, unethical and un-American. I will report this to the relevant authorities! In response to Seth: I am not complaining that business needs require you to increase prices. What I called out is that you did not adjust your prices on the menu but rather add a credit card surcharge hiding it as a totally misleading "Pay Cash Discount" Most everyone will not review their bills or understand this I had to take out the calculator to figure this out. This restaurant is in a small strip mall in Naples Florida. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is inviting with warm colors and low lighting even at the lunch hour. This restaurant was practically empty when we were there. My friend and I walked in the front door and waited for someone to seat us but there was no one in sight so after a couple of minutes we decided to seat ourselves ,but wouldn't you know right when we were walking to the table someone did show up and seated us. We were given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We ordered ice water with lemon. When the waiter brought our drinks he proceeded to ask if we had decided what we wanted. Because it was the lunch hour we asked about lunch specials and a lunch menu. I thought it was funny that we were not offered the lunch menu but instead offered the regular menu at lunchtime. The waiter whose name is Andrew proceeded to explain to us what the "all you can eat" special was and because he was speaking so fast I had to ask him to slow down which he took personally and asked if I wanted a new waiter. I said "no" I just needed to let you know what I was comfortable with and you were speaking so fast while pointing out what you were talking about on my menu... I had to ask him to stop pointing on my personal menu while he talked because it made me feel uncomfortable. My friend and I ordered Panini's and when they were served they were cold and the cheese was not melted so I had to ask him to take my back and to put it in the press a little bit longer so that the cheese would melt. As he took my plate away it was clear by his reaction that it did not please him. The Panini bread look like it was toasted lightly. I was not impressed with my service nor was I impressed with the food. The Panini was cold and being there for an hour I was not asked if I wanted more water until it was time to leave. I don't know that I will come back to this restaurant in the future. I believe the wait staff could use some more education on how to treat people who come into the restaurant from the time they walk to the front door until the time they leave. Especially since the place was empty you would think that a wait staff would be more attentive considering they get tips. I am not one to write reviews but I feel compelled to let the new management know that things have changed for the worse. We have been going to Noodles every time we visit Naples for over a decade and loved their sushi. Tonight we returned to the same building with a new name and a disappointing sushi experience. The fish was not fresh and the service was slow and inattentive. It was simply not the quality and service we knew and loved. It was quite large, not enough to eat in one bite and I almost felt like they just threw a bunch of random things together, fried it and threw some spicy mayo on top hoping that it would taste good? I regret this decision, and it cost $23. Veal parm - this had so much rosemary on the plate that it was all I could taste. It was wayyy over spiced. Noodles Latin nights are the BOMB! I had been dying to go there for years now. We went on Friday at 11:00 the cover fee was $10 and we could drink for FREE all night long! They wand the men (to make sure they don't have any weapons), but everyone gets their IDs checked. They have a VIP area with bottle service and you can even rent hookahs. The DJ was amazing, every song was a hit! You can tell he really loves what he does. The bathrooms weren't as bad as I thought they would be for a night club. The bartenders were super rude. They weren't very friendly, took forever to bring you your drinks, and just had an overall attitude problem. I'm not going to deduct a star for that because my experience was awesome! Passed by Noodles many times driving down the seemingly always crowded Pine Ridge Road. Saw a coupon ad in Naples paper: Dinner for two and a bottle of wine (three course dinner) $50. And so decided to check it out last eve, a Thursday in March. First thing we noticed upon entering at 5 pm was dozens of seniors sitting at the bar and high top tables near the bar, taking advantage of happy hour deals on food and drinks. We got a booth in the far corner, which was great to be away from the noisy crowd, but too far away to enjoy the woman singing 1960s songs. Service by Czr was excellent. The entrees on the special deal (by the way you don't actually need the coupon, just ask for special menu) are mostly chicken. We had Chicken Carbonara and Chicken and Broccoli, both quite delicious.
