I would give Stix Sushi & Seafood 3 1/2 stars if I could. The Sushi was really fresh and tasty so ill round up to 4. I ordered a Moscow mule to drink, edamame as an app, & spicy tuna & Edison rolls. Everything was pretty good! The service could've been better. We were sat without drink menus, & our drinks and apps took a long time to come out. Our server lacked menu knowledge when we asked a few questions. I believe this restaurant is still fairly new, so I know this will likely improve. Visiting family in Florida, they recommended Stix because they had been there a few years ago and loved it. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing. It was truly some of the worst sushi any of us have ever had, and they couldn't believe how much it had changed since their last visit. Our server was nice, but that didn't make up for the poor quality of the food. We chose the AYCE option, but there is a strict limit on how much you can order at a time. I prefer other restaurants that have a waste clause and don't limit you to multiple small orders. Some rolls came out deep-fried even though the menu didn't indicate that they were. The sashimi pieces were the smallest cuts I've ever seen and were wet and slimy. It honestly made us question the fish quality, or if the positive reviews simply don't reflect what good quality sushi should taste like. We also had to send the noodles back because they were inedible, and my mom and aunt both had to send their soups back as well. Lastly, the shrimp was not deveined, which seems like pure laziness. The atmosphere itself was nothing special. After spending around $200, we left not because we were full, but because we just couldn't keep eating the food. Stix now offers lunch, opening from 11:30a with a lunch menu and happy hour. Yay! We stopped in for a late lunch. Quiet with a few patrons. Always clean and fresh interior and exterior. Food is so good. They know how to prepare sushi and sashimi dishes. Seaweed salad is always a delicious and refreshing salad. We also had black pepper chicken and chicken soba noodle dishes. Well, I wish I could give it a better rating, but after two people in our party of five received their meal at least an half hour before the other three of us, I HAD TO give it a 2! I mean come on. How many excuses could the waiter possibly give us? "So sorry! It's a really busy night". There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for bringing out two meals and the other three of us sitting here waiting. Two ordered the shrimp hibachi. One came out. The other meal that came out early was a sushi roll. The other three that were left waiting, ordered: hibachi shrimp, hibachi steak and hibachi chicken. Again, let me point out that ONE of the hibachi shrimps came out an half hour before the other same exact meal. That was another excuse..."they cook in batches". Sorry, that doesn't fly. We also ordered one spicy edamame and two regular edamame. They were delicious! In addition to that appetizer, we ordered bang bang shrimp...it never came. I would give this restaurant a 1 rating because of the insane excuses and lack of coordination but all the meals were very tasty, so I decided to give it a 2. It came out way too quick to have been made and some of the sushi and plates were so cold it felt like someone had just grabbed the pre-plated food out of the fridge and brought it to us. The appetizers are amazing and full of flavor. The regular menu is excellent as well. The service is exemplary, measured, focused and they really know how to make this a spectacular dining experience. The place was packed which is an extremely good sign in Naples in the summer. Super harsh review! Ordered miso soup. Crispy rice appetizer, and then the following rolls: tuna lover roll, butterfly roll, Hopping Roll, and Batman Roll. We eat sushi weekly and thoroughly enjoy however this restaurant was a complete disaster. Soup had a weird taste and was barely identifiable as Miso. Crispy Rice app was deep fried for too long and lacked any flavour. The quality of the sushi being served makes grocery store sushi look like your in Japan. Fish was reminiscent of the frozen product usually associated with AYCE sushi restaurants. Worse yet, for $18/roll, everything was over priced (based on quality) by $10/roll. Service was fine, and the restaurant looked as though they took over a location that was formerly a different restaurant with very little done to it. We went as a group of 6 and they were still doing a soft opening menu but let me tell you it was quite extensive and looking forward to the Full One. The new ambiance and decor are awesome-- the lighting is perfect and inviting . We opted to sit in the bar area and it's also very nice with the marble and a few TVS ! Loved the custom painted tables too. The owner came over and introduced himself and we also got a nice little WELCOME SNACK for the table. The staff was great- all very attentive and smiling and totally on top of things ! All of our meals came out at the same time which was nice I Loved the CHILLED salad fork and bowl - ( comes with the entree as well as a cup of miso soup) Very nice touch! We had an amazing lunch today! Mario was our server, and his assistant (forget her name, she had winged eyeliner) was so on point with clearing the table so it was not cluttered.
