I picked up a Greek salad with chicken after fishing at Headwater lake for the day. The place was very busy with both dinners and pickup on a Saturday evening. I was third in line to order and one of the employee step from behind the counter to expedite my order. Wow, I was impressed at the attention to customer service. I ordered my salad and waited about 10 minutes and my food was delivered to me in the waiting area. The salad was fresh, very tasty and filling, a true Greek salad with all the proper ingredients, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, red onion, hot yellow peppers, tomatoes with a fantastic Greek salad dressing. Generous amount of delicious chicken topped the salad. I speculate that the pizza must be good as many were picking up pizzas to go, so definitely something to try next time. It's not a fancy place, but it is comfortable & tables are not crowded together. Service was sufficient but a little slow even though they weren't very busy. A few more mushrooms would have been nice, but overall, the large pizza with pepperoni, sausage & muchrooms was excellent. Neither I nor wife could finish 2 pieces. Lots of leftovers!! Guiseppe's Fellsmere is one of those restaurants I have wanted to try for quite a while but as it is 25 + miles away I just never made the trip. Yesterday my daughter and I were taking my cousin and her husband out for a late lunch and as Guiseppe's is about 10 miles from them we all thought we would give it a try. Now 3 of us are 100% Italian and my daughter is 50% Italian, so we know our way around an Italian cucina. That also makes us a bit picky when it comes to Italian food. We got there around 3 so the place wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. Server came immediately and was very pleasant and jovial. Drink order was served immediately as was some hot, homemade Italian bread. We ordered spaghetti, lasagna, meat tortellini and I had the meat ravioli with a side of sausages. Everyone stated what they had was excellent. Portions were large but not huge. Sauces ... meat, alfredo and marinara .., all tasty. Sausages were among the best I have had in my 44 years in Florida. We finished it off with coffee and in-house made cannolis and they too were good. Prices were reasonable as well. Unfortunately, they have lost 2 cooks that were with them for more than 30 years and are having trouble finding suitable replacements so temporarily they are closing their dining room right now at 4. Great authentic Italian food! Their are 2 restaurants one in Sebastian and the other in Fellsmere. Two different experiences in cooking style.Fells-mere is the best of the two. Both are clean and safe. And both are good. We have traveled to Venice many times. And Fellsmere is more to are liking. Prices are reasonable. So you can take the whole family. It's sad to see a once solid restaurant lose its way and settle for mediocrity. Im sitting here suffering through a medium pizza q pepperoni, " green peppers " and onions. $17.00. The peppers are not green for starters. The few peppers that are on the pizza are yellow, which, coincidentally, are 25% cheaper than the usual green that every pizza place uses. In fact , this pizza is the first one that Ive ordered that came with yellow peppers. And the menu advertised " green peppers ". Not. When you see this sneaky bait n switch, watch out. The onions are diced and scattered throughout the pizza. Youre adding onions to a pizza man! They diced the onions as if they were making chili. The result is that the onions liquified and drenched the dough. Its much better to use onions w 2" diameter rings. The pizza is soggy and doughy. If I hold the crust at the base of the triangle, the opposite end will droop like a wet noodle. Seriously l, this pizza is dough. Lousy. This place used to be great. Perhaps the restaurant has changed hands? Use green peppers and change the onion scheme. Finally bake the pizza so that the bottom of the pie is ridged. This is subpar. 2 Giuseppe's in our area. Fellsmere used to be my favorite BUT now it's got a split personality. Lunch items are always good & tasty. Dinner is another story completely. I've gotten a calzone that literally had absolutely NO mozarella cheese & was totally burned on the bottom-it was not edible. Last night I got lasagna. First it was barely warm, totally watery with just a dollop of cheese on top but the worst offense is it had absolutely no taste -none. We got a pepperoni pizza a few weeks ago & even my sister said it had no taste-just watery tomato paste. We got a chicken sub for dinner in last few months & it was so salty & chicken was shoe leather. AWFUL AT DINNER-however, if you go at lunch everything is great. Traveling home from Miami to Jacksonville I felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. It was lunch time & my party of three did not want fast food so I proudly offered to check YELP. Found Giuseppe's with a decent review. Driving 3 miles from interstate 95 we came upon a quaint villa-looking Italian restaurant. First impression from outside of the restaurant - yes it looks like an Italian restaurant. As we entered surprisingly it was not a big restaurant. First thing you see is the reception area & kitchen right behind it. The mood was lively with many local folks having lunch. We ordered the Egg Plant Parmigiana with a side of Spaghetti, Antipasto, and an Italian Sandwich. They first brought out an unusual looking bread (see photo). It was very good. We did not have to wait too long for our meal. The Eggplant Parm was very good. The pasta tasted good but the noodles were not al dente. The Italian Sandwich was huge & tasty. The Antipasto was pretty but disappointing. The bottom of the salad was pickled veggies: Cauliflower, Carrots & Italian Peppers. Overall the experience was good, the staff was efficient & friendly. Oh. My. God. What a great little place! We were sent here on a strong recommendation from a friend in Ft. Lauderdale who has relatives in Sebastian. We tried the pizza from their other place in Sebastian, but this Fellsmere location is even better! From the moment we walked in, we were treated well by the staff. The place isn't new, and the decor isn't fancy, but it's clean and in good condition. Our server was friendly and conscientious-making sure we got some food for our toddler right away. Bonus points for that. We had salads to start, which were fresh and good, even though the lettuce was iceberg. Our pizza was divine. Yes. Divine. We kept it simple with a large plain cheese with fresh garlic. Our other entree was the eggplant parm. Also fantastic. Price was very reasonable for the quality of food and service. That was so underwhelming, we just thought this one, the Fellsmere restaurant, would probably be the same. We took a chance today for lunch. What a difference! The food was excellent -- the homemade bread, so crispy on the outside and airy on the inside, the freshest of vegetables, the tenderness of my chicken dish. I have lived in Sebastian for about 25 years and have ordered from Giuseppe's numerous times. This week we ordered 1 sub, lasagna dinner and a pizza to be delivered to my house. Although I did remember thinking the price was high, I went with it and didn't ask questions because everyone is going up on prices. We received 3 subs and the rest of our order. I called them and spoke to the young lady who took my order and was told they would refund me the price of the two subs. I looked at my bank statement today and no refund. I called and spoke to a very nasty person who called himself the manager and was told I would need to bring in my statement and this and that. I will be calling my bank and disputing the charge due to this very expensive error on their part and will order from vittorios from now on. Don't let the remote location fool you, Giuseppe's is a hidden gem. A co-worker and I stopped in for a weekday lunch not expecting anything special. We were both pleasantly surprised by the food quality and taste, portion sizes and friendly staff. They initially brought out a loaf of house bread with butter that was hot and tasty. My ziti entree was delicious and ample. The pepperoni pie was also very good and aptly sized for the price. So if you are in the neighborhood or just passing through, stop in and get your Italian on. Since they are an Italian restaurant, I figured we'd would get a real good pizza. We ordered sausage, onions and mushrooms on our pizza. To my disappointment the sausage was not bulks of sausage like I'm used to. Instead it was sausage that they sliced which is fine but it was paper thin. They could slice it a bit thicker so you can at least taste the sausage. read more

A friend recommended this place and we were very pleased with our meal and service. We ordered a large cheese pizza and it was a typical huge pizza. It's NY style so the crust was thin. Not usually the kind of pizza I like, but this was one good. I ordered the linguine with clam sauce which is served with homemade pasta and fresh clams. It was delicious!! My husband ordered a Stromboli and enjoyed it. I wish we would've saved room for a cannoli because I'm sure it would've been amazing, but we had too much to eat so we didn't. From the time we walked in, there was a line to pick up pizza, and the small dining room (8 tables maybe?) filled up quickly so that's another very good sign that the food is awesome!
