NEVER.AGAIN! Ordered a deep dish, got there in 40min (I was quoted 45m), so I was surprised it was ready. Got home, bread was paper thin and burnt! And the cheese was hard like I was eating a cheese stick. It was almost as if it was an old reheated pizza. Took it back, where they proceed to try and give me a $10 off coupon and THE SAME PIZZA BACK! Um no sir, we brought it back here bc it was nasty. So they make us another pizza (regular this time). And while not burned, the cheese was super hard, bread paper thin, and unbearably SALTY! Regret going here. Glad I only spent $22. We will DEFINITELY NOT BE BACK, YUCK! THE PROBLEM SIR, is that we ordered that pizza for FOUR PEOPLE and 2 of the 4 tried a slice and both deemed it disgusting! Just because you are a small business doesn't mean you're not still a business. We brought the pizza back because we were not satisfied with your product. Your customers pay for something that they expect to BE FRESH and enjoy, not something that tastes like it been sitting around and reheated. They also expect the business to rectify the situation and not try to low-ball them with a coupon to use to come back and then try to give them back the same disgusting food. It was only AFTER WE REFUSED THAT that you made us another pizza and that was still nasty. We PAID for your product so please do not try to act like you did us a favor lol. But don't worry, we will NEVER be back. And I truly encourage other people not to go there as well. Save your money, any frozen pizza from your local grocer is 100000 times better. This used to be a gem, we would go there a couple times a month, we support them through Covid. Within the last 6 months things have changed. This place is a hidden gem. Called for a reservation of 9. The hostess was very accommodating and helped us all get seated promptly. The selection of food is ample so a customer should be able to find something they like, with 9 of us there we were all able to pick something we liked. I normally love this place and everything I've eaten here, but last night I had delivery that was sub-par. The lobster ravioli in alfredo sauce was soooo salty ( and I love salty food) that it was difficult to eat. I've had it several times before, and it's usually delicious. I also got a small Mediterranean salad, and the lettuce was very brown and wilted. I'm leaving a 4 star review because this place is normally fantastic, and I'm hoping this is just an anomaly. read more

I have to say I was a little disappointed in this recent visit. Had a taste for some veal and this is one of the few places that actually has it and when I started to place my order with the waitress she quickly said that they were out of it. I asked her what soup they had today and they were also out of that as well so I ordered the chicken Parmesan and my wife ordered the ravioli and an hour later got my chicken Parmesan and it was very very tough. Tasty but tough. My wife said the ravioli was a little tougher than she liked but tasted good. I will return the next time I have a taste veal but I will call ahead. read more

I always order a traditional cheese pizza and rate it 1-10 based on simply my first bite of pizza. (This is an ongoing pizza rating system me and husband started years ago... it has never failed us!) My rating after my first bite was an 8.7! This pizza is simply delicious!! The right amount of sauce and cheese and the crust is just how I like it. The pizza comes cut in squares and is never greasy or overdone. Giuseppe's has it down to a science and it's pure perfection! A fun note for those of you that like giardiniera they offer it as a topping!! And unlike other locations that slop on the peppers with all the oil, you can tell they drain the giardiniera beforehand giving you the spice with each bite minus all the oil. Placed an order for 2 entrees and garlic knots. I drove from Griffith to pick up the food. Get home and no garlic knots. I call in and they tell me it is what it is. If they run out they replace with dinner bread. Nothing they can do. They could have let me know when I ordered. Horrible resolution. Manager wasn't even trying to resolve the complaint or issue. Decided on checking this out after reading a Facebook list of the 11 best Italian restaurants in Indiana. I didn't agree with all the choices. I had never been here, nor did I know about it so it was time to check it out. The place is small but very cute and relaxing. It's not Americanized for sure in the sense that there are no fountain drinks. Just a heads up. Soda and other nice beverages from a bottle, there's also a nice selection of wines. Water with lemon is free of course. My hubby and I ordered a meatball sandwich because I did read that the meatballs were delish. They are! The sauce on the side was a little salty but okay because the sandwich was not so the play of flavors worked well. The bun was perfect. If you would like fries, please note it is an extra charge. No big deal they do give you a nice helping. We also ordered a pizza which seems to come in one size. It was the Neapolitan style which is cooked in a wood fired brick oven. (NOTE the other pizzas are NOT cooked in the brick oven just this style) We had the pizza with Eggplant and Mushroom. It was very delicious. I've seen complaints about the size/price. I think it is enough for 2 or one hungry person. The price isn't bad considering what you would pay for a nice meal at that price anyway. This is a gourmet pizza. A junk/cheap pizza can be purchased at a chain restaurant. (No big deal or a reason to get offended, I eat junk pizza too) For dessert we bought the gelato cheesecake which made me want to cry it was so good. I read the word Nutella on the menu and I was in!! Note... When paying for your bill if you want to add the tip you have to let them know how much before they ring you up. Just something with their system. I was told it would be fixed. I felt bad when I received the bill to sign not knowing that. Glad to know it now. Just tried Giuseppe's of Schererville. If you have never been, I suggest you try it. We use to go to Giuseppe's in Blue Island , since the 80's, we move out to Indiana in 1999 and miss their food. They are not affiliated in any way, but our server said a lot of people ask if they are. No matter, food was great. I had my Giuseppe usual chicken Parmesan, yep still great. And the hubby had a calzone, it was huge. Also great tasting. The wait staff was also very nice. We did walk right in and sit down, but, it is very small,about 10 tables. Great pizza, however, outrageous wait times on carry out with false time frames given when we placed an order. We wanted a refund after waiting well over an hour and continuously being told "5 more minutes." Their carry out window is outside. There is NO shelter at all, so literally you're standing outside in the elements whatever the weather is when waiting "5 more minutes for your carry out order."
