Adding our recent pov if it might assist any others new to DF. It was our first time dining at their new location (on the west side of Van Dyke, formerly on the east side in a much simpler space). Clearly folks love it! DF has innumerable exuberant fans. "in crowd", Jam packed on an early Thursday evening. We appreciated being politely greeted and seated at our reservation time and were directed to the back room. It was rollicking at full capacity. Tables full of dinners, birthday celebrations and youngsters blabbing, showing off. The room was annoyingly loud. Installation of sound absorbing acoustical ceiling tiles could likely help excessive noise. We appreciated being seated in a booth which was more private than seated at an open table amongst "the crowd". A DF booth is a good place to sit only with your spouse, or date. They're small, you'll make close eye contact, touch each other's feet and nearly your knees under the table. We were promptly and politely served gourmet quality bread. We inquired about, then ordered two glasses of house wine -- note, it should accurately be described as children's juice box drink. Our dinner salad was fresh and delicious as were our Italian style chicken dishes. DF also serves delicious pasta with meat sauce after salad and before entree. Everything was well prepared and tastefully presented. Support staff helpful clearing dishes along the way. Portions generous -- nice bringing leftovers home for next day lunch.

The peanut sauce was my favorite....rich, savory, and slightly sweet similar to a satay sauce. I had the Sangria wine flight and loved all the four flavors....tropical, fruity and sweet. For my entree i had the shrimp & scollop risotto and it was just ok. The shrimp and scallops were cooked and seared perfectly but the risotto tasted a little dry. I had the same dish at the Troy location and it was covered in a flavorful sauce and was not dry. I left most of it unfinished and chose not to tell the server about it, but was disappointed. Thank goodness for ordering an appetizer! My friend had the Dana's Parmesan Chicken and said it was exceptionally delicious. Our server gets an A+ for making sure we enjoyed our meal. He was attentive, made great recommendations and checked in with us throughout. However when I go to the Troy location, we are always offered to sample the featured wine of the month before ordering our drinks and wasn't here. I don't even know what the feature wine of March is because it wasn't even mentioned by our server. Overall, a lovely dinning experience but this wasn't the 5+ star rating the Troy location has in comparison.

The swordfish was out of this world- tender, succulent, & well spiced. Even the saffron rice it was served upon was lovely. Hubby enjoyed the cracker crusted app pizza, as well. The wagyu burger was quite possibly the best burger I have ever enjoyed. Even the gluten free bun was, (dare I say), a stand out. Hubby's wagyu was served on a "normal" bun which he said was outstanding as well. It is called a Grown up Happy Meal. Finally, the truffle fries were prepared in what appeared to be in the classical, French way, that is, like pomme frites. We had our one year old son with us and the service was quick and friendly. The meals come with salad and rolls, which were both delicious. The rolls were hot and approved by the baby. My husband ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was very good! We all liked that the best. The sauce had great flavor so the out being too thick or heavy.
