In the end, the lawn was as beautiful as when they began the project. I truly appreciated that. Pricing was amazing and the final quote did not change a cent from the original (except by me as I subtracted one element from the original quote). The crew was friendly & worked diligently. They finished and left my yard beautiful! I was able to pay the invoice on PayPal and within hours of the work being completed. I appreciate the responsiveness of my request to send the invoice ASAP because I absolutely wanted to pay them ASAP. Thoroughly satisfied and highly recommend. I saw a few reviews and have to say this... you have to maintain whatever landscaping anyone puts in - whether it be your irrigation, plants, and weeds that follow!!! Weed barrier overall doesn't prevent Texan weeds from growing, and generally I don't recommend or get weed barrier. Use a natural ground cover that snuffs the bad stuff out. You'll also have to replace some plants - they can be finicky based on the elements and soil (or rocks) which can vary in a single yard. If you are new to the area, know this - color is season al but most often everything is green. It requires so much self care if you want color all year around which basically means planting annuals yourself.

The people were nice, but lacked basic skills as the wall was completely uneven. This caused challenges later when the fence company tried to complete their portion of the project. They also used chipped bricks throughout the wall. When asked about it, Aphascapes advised that the bricks were defective. Then why using defective bricks in the first place then? They bought them directly from the supplier and the cost was included in the overall project. Very unethical. I contacted them on 2/18 to fix the chipped bricks and Alphascapes advised that they would come by. I reached out multiple times to follow-up with them but then the communication simply stoped. They have yet to show up as I am writing this review. I had to hire another contractor to fix them. This company might be ok when it comes to basic landscaping projects but I would not hire them for anything else. This was a nightmare.

She brought out a brochure that showcased many different designs/styles. We chose some beautiful pavers and she was able to give us a price while she was there. We weren't sure between three colors. We were focused mainly on a combination of two of them, so she offered to bring out samples. When she brought the samples, we went with an entirely different color which looked beautiful with our brick home. Adding on to our existing concrete patio gave us a wonderful place for additional seating and placement of our fountain and barbecue. After a while, about 4 or 5 of the pavers started to settle. Stone Deck came out and temporarily removed them, added more base underneath them, replaced them, and made sure everything was level. We could not have been more pleased with their company.

I sent over site plan and measurements. I was very clear i wanted mcgee backyard, i even sent over a sketch. We had phone call to discuss other details and he said to send inspiration photos of firepit. So i did. First draft came and i was heartbroken that its not even closed to the sketch i gave. He followed the inspiration photos of the firepit. Just a little misunderstanding between us. But why would i did all the trouble of sketching the mcgee backyard and then just go with a firepit photo. Anyway he fixed it quick. i think 2nd draft includes more details abt planting plan. He put hydrangea under a full sun area. i once bought hydrangea from lowes and put it under full sun for a few hours and the flower turned crispy! His other choice of plants were not good. For somebody who is local and landscape company, i expected better choice of plants. So to help him, i got a complete list from local nursery and made a list of plants and trees that i like, i made it in word doc complete with photo and description like it needs full sun, evergreen or deciduous, fast growing and other information. I think that helped him too. The next draft came. There are no shrubs along the fence and concrete measurements were incorrect. the whole process were disappointing but i cant get a refund now. I actually asked after the 2nd draft to not send the 3d anymore and just charge me for whatever he had delivered, but he said he already worked on 3d. I think i paid 225$. but my time and frustration were priceless. Lesson learned, i should have asked for his portfolio or photos of his past projects. i ended up hiring a different person to do the job.
