Fantastic all you can eat restaurant. The ingredients are fresh. The noodles are handmade. I like to pile on the meat, veggies, and noodles with a lot of sauces. They cook everything fresh. Lunch comes with a soup, rice, and potsticker. Dinner comes with a soup, rice, and fried wonton strips. The waiters are always very nice and friendly. I love the crab wontons and green beans. They have buy one, get one free appetizer. I like to take home green beans. Those last me two meals. Such a great deal. The restaurant is nice and clean. Delicious and all you can eat, but be prepared to wait. There was maybe 6 people inside and it took almost 20 minutes to get my first bowl cooked. There was one bowl in front of me so I'm not sure why it took so long. They definitely make their money by limiting the acye. The food was fresh and good but don't expect multiple bowls unless you are willing to sit there for two hours. The tables were a little dirty and the "appetizers" left something to be desired. When you walk in, they do welcome you say hello but nobody's there to like kinda tell you what to do or how this goes. It was my first time going there had a lot of questions I wasn't really too sure of what to get or how to make the bowl, they don't really have clear instructions, but they're kinda out there, but it's kind of confusing. Everybody was really nice though I ordered two bowls the guy making the food you could tell he really loves his job. He was doing an awesome job. He was really nice. He shared some things like when we ask him questions about sauces and stuff. He just seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. It's a small spot so I didn't expect them to have such a long wait as they did. I did order appetizers and they had a really good deal. Buy one appetizer get one free, but it had to be the same appetizer by the time I was done with my food which also came with rice and a soup which was really nice, but our appetizers never went in and we ordered three of them that kind of bugged me because I was waiting and waiting and waiting and the appetizers never came and had I known they didn't put them in. I would've left instead of waiting. Overall, the food was OK. I didn't understand the sauces. I think if I understood more of the whole process of making your own bowl, I would've added more vegetables or more protein. I was just really confused on it, but like I said, the guy cooking, he deserves a race he puts on a show. He was all over the place. I didn't see him drop anything off cooking area and he was busy that was for sure. Maybe if they had a little more help an extra waiter or more hands or somebody designated just for taking orders or maybe they don't offer appetizers and just stick to the bowls. We LOVE GK Mongolian! It has been a while since we have been in but we were able to get in for lunch this week. The restaurant was not too busy when we arrived and were able to get our meal going and a table quickly. GK is a buffet style raw food bar where you fill your bowl with your choice of meats & veggies and they cook it for you on a large flat top. Lunch is a one time bowl and dinner is an all you can eat for dine in. Dine in is served with white rice, pot sticker & egg drop soup. The BEST egg drop soup. First time trying Mongolian BBQ and I actually really enjoyed eating here for lunch. For $20 bucks I got a HUGE PLATE OF FOOD with a drink. Very interesting experience building your own bowls. They have quite the variety to choose from and I loved that. I went with beef and got noodles and lots of veggies. Got 4 different sauces and waited about 15 min in line for my food to be cooked. Once it was my turn, my order was cooked in minutes and it was very flavorful and fresh. The meal came with a soup and white rice and that was very much appreciated. The restaurant was so dirty. Food all over the counter, floors, tables were dirty. They weren't busy at that time. There were 4 tables with customers. It was also incredibly warm inside. Drinks were flat and the waitress could care less about doing her job. The noodles were very over cooked. All in all not a great experience. I have been to other locations and normally love it. My husband is obsessed with this place and it's quickly become his go to spot - when he's in the area. He's even got a membership card now. I sometimes join him on excursions and I'm always so impressed with the value that you get for your money, in addition to how professional and kind the staff are. I usually love coming to this place, the usual staff is wonderful. However today was a different story, the staff seemed unprepared to be there without someone telling them what todo, I had came in to order a Togo order it took about 30 minutes for them to pack the food they then let it sit on the counter while they ran around like chickens with their heads cut off not really doing much. The waitress was sweet but didn't know how to handle being in front. She was the only one that kinda of knew what she was doing but she also didn't. She would jump around from task to task not completing anything before moving on to the next task. The experience was very chaotic and left a lot of customers scratching their head.The food is amazing! The service was below the expectations. Finally stopped in to give it a try. Staff is super friendly. Food is delicious. My only complaint is it could have been cleaner. Went in around 1:45 pm, there wasn't much meat in the self serve area, as well as the noodle area and very messy. There were only two people dining and a few dirty tables. My only suggestion is to clean up the self serve areas. It should be well stocked. No reason for the dining area to have dirty tables when there is only 2 people dining. Food is great, amazingly fresh and the style of cooking is fun to watch and creates perfectly cooked meals. There are a lot of choices and don't be afraid to experiment if you've never been to Mongolian barbecue it's pretty simple, grab a bowl, fill it with the protein of choice and all the vegetables that you want, add whatever sauce you want (I'm a big fan of the house, ginger and teriyaki sauces), turn your bowl over to the cook, wait a couple minutes and they hand you your bowl back perfectly cooked ready to eat. This is kind of a local hangout and I understand why it's great food. Good pricing, (by the way it's all you can eat), that gives anybody walking on a lot of value and great food. However, as good as the food is and everything else, if the service sucks, then the entire meal sucks. Every time I've been into this place, the service has been beyond outstanding. Even when they are swamped and there's one in the back and one in the front of the house, they just get it done always smiling. read more

"Good vibes only" sign on the counter was surrounded by surly inattentive cooks, snarky staff and half of the buffet containers empty! No mushrooms, no corn, no jalapeños, no cilantro, or onions. Cabbage almost gone (on the no floor, I think.). Asking if someone could please refill the containers, we just got blank stares. My goodness this place was disappointing and I was so looking forward to finally getting to try it. I have been to LOTS of Mongolian bbq places in many different states. It seems to me that whoever is running this place has never been to a Mongolian bbq. When we walked in we started doing our usual routine, grab two bowls, fill one with meat and noodles use the other for your vegetables. Half way thru I was told I could only use one bowl. I said, "isn't it all you can eat?" I was told it was all you can eat but they want to make sure there is enough for everyone to get their first bowl before people had a second bowl. Keep in mind there were 4 people in the restaurant when we got here. So, he took my already used second bowl away from me and I was unable to add any vegetables to my first bowl because there was too much meat and noodles in it. The sauce situation is a mess. Good luck figuring out what you want. When it's time to cook, they cooked one persons bowl at a time with ridiculous looking chopsticks. After cooking 3 or 4 bowls, they then have to clean the grill. Not very efficient at all. When it was all said and done, I paid $17 for some meat and noodles with a hodgepodge of sauce on it, a small bowl of rice, a small bowl of cabbage type soup a potsticker and some won ton type things. We were so happy to have this type of restaurant in Tuolumne county but unfortunately we will not be back. read more

The staff are really nice and the food is pretty good. You can't go wrong since you're choosing everything according to your taste. There's a lot to choose from in regards to the vegetables and sauces. I'm not sure if this is by design to make people not want to wait in line for seconds and save on the all you can eat, but the line takes forever. It's NOT a very good system. There's a hold up because they cook each bowl one to 3 at a time with large chopsticks which isn't very functional. It looks horrible when in line gathering your toppings because people drop a lot of stuff everywhere. It seems like one simple change could make it a whole lot better experience. It should be table service instead of get your own food. It would be so simple to have a form with all the options and the waiter gathers everything and gives to cook. They have tons of people working that seems like a waste of talent. All the customers are given plastic gloves which also seems like a waste. I don't know. Maybe it's designed like this purposefully so people get tired of waiting so there's no desire to get more. Went to get seconds and it took soooo long.
