    Hair in food

I love Luu's but they aren't consistent. I have a small complaint, I like to get the combination chicken and beef, and the beef can be either exceptional or just a chore to eat, what I mean is it was way too overcooked really tough and chewy. Never know what it's going to be, and another thing this is the first time I noticed this is my food but I found a hair buried in the rice ! Not good

teriyaki beef - dry, and chewy

the carrots are always mushy. The beef was old and chewy. Their teriyaki sauce doesn't have any flavor. I just keep trying to give them a chance but it's just a waste of money. I'll have to try another branch but this ones always a miss sadly. We got the 6 piece spicy wings the boyfriend loved them said they were good. Crispy and spicy.

Delicious chicken and veggies. I like the brown rice and teriyaki sauce on the side. Seriously drool worthy. Location on Pacific also rocks! They also make their own hot sauce - ask for it it's yummy.

If you grew up in Stockton, you've probably been to this local favorite, which features inexpensive teriyaki chicken and beef bowls. For about $4.99, you can get yourself a good portion of veggies, grilled chicken and rice. For about .50 cents more, you can upgrade to brown rice. If you're watching your carbs, tell them less rice and more veggies. If you're protein-hungry, pay a few more dollars for more meat. Don't want the sauce? Tell them so. Chicken wasn't super tender. Beef was sort of dry. Veggies were drenched in teriyaki sauce. But hey, it's cheap and gets the job done. Do not come here if you're expecting 5-star service - yes, this includes drive-thru and dine-in service. If you're looking for a quick bite, check this place out. Overall, this place will always have a place in my heart. You can tell all the customers are long-time repeat visitors. My brother and I got two plate entrees (#3) and paid about $15.

Chicken cabbage carrots and broccoli. The cabbage was also old!

I was so disappointed with my food today! I've been eating here for over twenty years. The portions were extremely sorry and the quality of food has went down hill! They now use little frozen Carrots in the chicken bowels. My broccoli looks wilted and sad. I will not be return after it was such a disappointment.

For one reason or another, he just wasn't able to get our attention, which is weird considering we are all sitting around him and he's playing with fire. I also recommend ordering the food with less butter and soy sauce, since places like this tend to be heavy handed with both. The restaurant has made an interesting choice to offer soup OR salad with your $40 meal. It comes across as stingy, but I've been to places where the table gets overcrowded with plates and bowls so I didn't mind too much. One thing to note about the place is they do not have an exhaust above the grill. Instead, the exhaust vent is at grill-level. Your clothes will reek of smoke either way but I could definitely see people with asthma having difficulty at this place.

Buckle up, I rarely have to do reviews like this…read more This teppanyaki spot on Miracle Mile is a classic case of "small but promising." The location itself is compact, but surprisingly well laid out. When we walked in, I was impressed by how many teppanyaki tables they were able to fit into the space. There's also a small bar seating area that feels quaint and appropriate for the size of the restaurant, and their alcohol selection was surprisingly wide. Unfortunately, the experience unraveled once service began. When we arrived, there were only about six people in the entire restaurant. The same young woman was acting as both the server and bartender for everyone. She took our drink order right away, brought waters, and gave my husband his Starry. After that, things stalled. Two more guests walked in, and she greeted them, brought menus, took their drink orders, made their drinks, and continued helping other tables while my drink never appeared. After about 15 minutes, I asked where my drink was. She said she would make it right away, but then continued helping other tables directly in front of us at the bar. When I asked again, she finally mentioned they were out of one of the ingredients for my drink... soda water--something that should have been communicated much earlier. For context, we ordered the spicy edamame, the smoked unagi roll, and the shrimp and steak teppanyaki meal with an extra side of steak. Our bill ended up being over $140, so this wasn't exactly a quick, inexpensive bite. Service continued in the same pattern. She took our food order, the food came out, waters were refilled, but none of the sauces we had requested ever arrived. We were never asked how the food was, and we eventually had to ask for the check ourselves. To be fair, the server was polite and sweet whenever we did interact with her. However, the overall service fell well below basic expectations for both a bartender and a server. Being friendly doesn't make up for missed orders, lack of communication, and long waits--especially in a nearly empty restaurant. The food itself was decent, but the customer service overshadowed the entire experience. Personally, I would rather have a mediocre meal with fantastic service than a decent meal paired with frustrating service. Overall, the experience was disappointing enough that I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this location to others. If this is how they've been operating for as long as they've been open, it's honestly surprising they've maintained a customer base at all.
