teriyaki beef - dry, and chewy

the carrots are always mushy. The beef was old and chewy. Their teriyaki sauce doesn't have any flavor. I just keep trying to give them a chance but it's just a waste of money. I'll have to try another branch but this ones always a miss sadly. We got the 6 piece spicy wings the boyfriend loved them said they were good. Crispy and spicy.

Delicious chicken and veggies. I like the brown rice and teriyaki sauce on the side. Seriously drool worthy. Location on Pacific also rocks! They also make their own hot sauce - ask for it it's yummy.

If you grew up in Stockton, you've probably been to this local favorite, which features inexpensive teriyaki chicken and beef bowls. For about $4.99, you can get yourself a good portion of veggies, grilled chicken and rice. For about .50 cents more, you can upgrade to brown rice. If you're watching your carbs, tell them less rice and more veggies. If you're protein-hungry, pay a few more dollars for more meat. Don't want the sauce? Tell them so. Chicken wasn't super tender. Beef was sort of dry. Veggies were drenched in teriyaki sauce. But hey, it's cheap and gets the job done. Do not come here if you're expecting 5-star service - yes, this includes drive-thru and dine-in service. If you're looking for a quick bite, check this place out. Overall, this place will always have a place in my heart. You can tell all the customers are long-time repeat visitors. My brother and I got two plate entrees (#3) and paid about $15.

Chicken cabbage carrots and broccoli. The cabbage was also old!

I was so disappointed with my food today! I've been eating here for over twenty years. The portions were extremely sorry and the quality of food has went down hill! They now use little frozen Carrots in the chicken bowels. My broccoli looks wilted and sad. I will not be return after it was such a disappointment.

I do hope they expand someday because the restaurant itself is pretty small and gets very busy. Minh, the owner, is there every day and clearly takes a lot of pride in the work and care that goes into curating each dish. We've also had their nigiri and sashimi, and both have always been excellent. They also have omakase which I still have yet to experience. Overall, the dishes here are worth it and if you deep pockets, you can easily splurge.

Ambiance was so so, more like a bar than Japanese Resturaunt. 2. Service was poor. 3. Food was fair, we had several rolls (too much rice) and a bento. I do not consider this authentic Japanese cusine. 4. The things that made me give this rating were that they calculated the tip on the total that included the sales tax and CVC fee, this is not honest. They also charged a credit card fee of 3.84%, first they do not pay this high of credit card charge to AMEX, also why not roll this expense in the price of the food and beverage. Very few places that charge this fee that I am aware of.

And the curry rice omelette (legit Japanese curry and not too spicy) so good, the Loco Moco .. really tasty gravy, will get again.. (tried it with the cheese and it was more like a loco moco cheeseburger.. so next time I think I'll stick with no cheese so it's like a perfect loco moco) So good! And close to my work?! I can't complain about the service, while they may be busy pretty much every night (that I've been anyways), they are almost always attentive and do a good job keeping our cups filled. What really has my heart here though is their "dry ramen" it's so flavorful and texturally pleasing. Not that I have a lot of dry ramens to compare to but I really enjoy theirs.
