    Huckleberry Peach Pie
    Andreas G.

Went here for an early dinner on a Monday in June. They had some open tables so we were seated right away. Menu has a good selection of American classics and even a few healthier options. We ordered the bison sliders with fries and the rainbow trout. They also have a selection of local beers. I tried an amber ale lager which was good (Bayer). The food arrived very quickly and unfortunately it wasn't that good. I did like the huckleberry bbq sauce on the sliders but that was pretty much the best thing about them. The onion rings on top weren't good and the fries were very soft and texture was just off. The rainbow trout was ok, but the veggies were quite bland. So why the four stars you may ask ? The pie. It was delicious. I had the huckleberry peach one with ice cream. In hindsight we should have just ordered two pieces of pie. staff were friendly and quick with refills. If they can get the appetizers and entrees on the same level as the pies this could be a great restaurant.

We stopped into Glacier Highland Restaurant in West Glacier for an early dinner after spending the day at St. Mary's Lake on the east side. On the drive back to the west side, there aren't a lot of food options, so this was a convenient choice. Service was quick -- water and drinks (Pepsi products) arrived fast, and the food followed soon after. Hubby ordered the cheese pizza, which was delicious overall -- fresh-tasting sauce, though the crust was a little bland. I went with the chicken pot pie, which had a unique presentation: flaky pastry on the top and bottom, with shredded chicken, peas, carrots, and mashed potatoes all inside. The potatoes had a garlicky flavor I didn't love, but the chicken filling itself was tasty. Unfortunately, the one bite I gave hubby had a small chicken bone in it -- and now he's sworn off chicken pot pie for life. Not a bad stop if you're in the area and need a quick bite, but the bone incident definitely cost it a star.

For the best Huckleberry pie in Montana go to Glacier Highland Restaurant in West Glacier. Cherie, one of the owners makes the best pies. There are about 20 different pies on the menu. A lot with huckleberries but also coconut cream and Key Lime, which was delicious. Their other breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes are also very tasty. We ended up going for all three meals and a special trip just for pie! The service is great, especially Max and Dan!

we were recommended by the guide from our afternoon activity that this place has great food and great pie. since we are in the region and huckleberry is in season, we wanted to give it a try. The menu is very basic, nothing looks attractive and not to mention is very OVERPRICED. when I order a fish and chips that means nothing looks i want to eat and I just go for safe order. and the fish and chips came out was a bit insulting. the fish fingers are literally finger size. so tiny and i was hungry after the meal had to get a second meal elsewhere. They do have a very large selections of pie. according to local this is the best pie in town. $10 a slice for an ok flavor. Service was a bit slow and everyone seems too busy serving many tables so it was a bit hard to get our waitress attention.

Pie is super fruity, flavorful with a great toasted crust! Portion size is generous with the pie slice and the ice cream scoop. After tasting pie at three places in the area, this really was the best one. Huckleberry ice cream was also delicious Huckleberry - classic and very fruit filled. Had a bit of a tart flavor too so it's not just sugar Huckleberry Peach - my favorite I enjoyed the peach slices in addition to the tart huckleberries Coconut cream - super fluffy, airy and light coconut flavor Service was a bit slow but it was a busy day with most/all tables filled even for a Monday evening. Was able to get a beer pint while waiting

Food was okay. Service was good at the beginning but never came back to fill up drinks until we were done. Desserts amazing. Country dinner so ambiance was in style of the surroundings. Convenient location from the park entrance.

We search for breakfast place on Glacier and we decided to try Glacier Highland Restaurant. Food was super good, we came in lunch time and we try a delicious burger and soup. I try 2 of their beers and they were refreshing. The place is clean and nice, very comfortable to rest and continue with our adventure. The food was fresh and tasty and our server was nice. I do recommend this place and I'll make sure to try the breakfast next time

I mean, Huckleberry pie. Friendly service, easy parking and not in the traffic jam of Lake MacDonald. It was all good.

A plate of zesty buffalo wings so gloriously coated in fiery sauce, I swear they winked at me. Crisp, tangy, and unapologetically bold these wings don't just land on your palate, they do a mountain-state mosh pit in your mouth. Even the buffalo sauce is like Montana's own bold character: loud, refreshing, and strangely comforting just like that first gulp of crisp tangerine squeeze. Now, let's talk about Montana's bodacious ass because, come on, if the Big Sky State were a person, she'd be strutting into Jammer Joe's in cowboy boots, flipping her non existent hair, and demanding extra ranch. She saunters in, plants herself at one of those sturdy retro style tables, and gives the staff that look that says, "Honey, bring me wings worthy of this behind"and darn it if they didn't deliver.

The food is better than it ever has been and the service is exceptional. I'm glad to see how much care and intention is in the building! Great Food Indoor and outdoor seating…read moreIncredible beer menu We made a stop here late in the day for some food and we were shocked how FANTASTIC the food was. Rarely do you find a spot that has great beer and great food, but Backslope does both But if you read my reviews, you know I like to steer you through the menu, at least what we tried. Foreman's Stout - full bodied, delicious. Ginger/Lemonade - refreshing, sooooo GOOD. House Fries - sliced as chips, but so good. Hummus - great consistency, but needed some citrus to finish it off. Still good, but I am picky about hummus. Tzatziki sauce - incredible, delicious, get this. Pecan Salad with Chicken - HOLY SMOKES, my wife loved this dish. She made me come back another time just so she vould have it again. Gyro Platter - light on the chicken, but really delicious. It was enough for two or more meals. Gyro - so full I could not fit it into my mouth. But enough for two. Really great find,

It might have been because it was some sort of a trivia night and they seemed quite busy with a regular crowd that was there. However, I did stay and I ended up ordering the ginger bowl 2.0 along with a hummus plate and I was very, very surprised as how good it all was. In fact "excellent " tells it all. I would definitely come back just for those two selections alone. Not at all what I would've expected in a "bar" in Columbia Falls, Montana. Some Asian choices, some Middle Eastern choices, some American choices on the menu and more. I was very impressed with just the two that I got so I want to come back and try again. The ambience was rather an open environment, wood chairs, wood tables, no booths, but comfortable and had more of that "bar" feel to it but there were kids there so families were welcome
