Worst burger EVER... It was the most overpriced infuriatingly regrettable burgers of my entire 43 years on this earth. A small overcooked grey-ish peace of minced meat paired with chopped up iceberg lettuce and sandwiched between un-toasted, butter-free cold doughy buns; all that sadness for $17 (fries not included... but sour staff attitude guaranteed). Gross. Tried the huckleberry cream pie. Pie was too sour, like a bad cheesecake. The "whipped cream" on top was bitter and tasted of cigarette smoke. Disgusting. I actually had to spit it out. Don't come here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. We paid $60 for two chicken sandwiches and a burger. The burger meat tasted rancid, the chicken patties were very over cooked. All of them were wrong too (asked for no pickles, got pickles etc.). Save your time, save your money and don't eat here. read more

I would not waste my money here. Its very apparent that they have figured out how to make as much money as possible per transaction in a high volume location where you really don't need to focus on return customers. My advice, bring your own frozen patty's and throw them in their microwave if you plan to eat there. at least you'll have the same result at the appropriate cost. This place has really gone downhill. I ate lunch here twice this summer and am not going back. The first time I had a chicken sandwich that was so over cooked I sent it back. The second time I tried their pulled pork sandwich. They must have made it well in advance as the bottom half of the bun was moist and crumbled. EVER EATEN A HOCKEY PUCK? I have, or at least I attempted to. Stopped in here for dinner and had the turkey dinner and the chopped steak with grilled onions. The turkey was fine, but the gravy was extremely salty (and anyone who knows me, knows how much I love salt). On to the worst part of the evening... the chopped steak. First of all, I made a simple request to get a fried egg on the chopped steak (I was craving a loco moco) and the waitress snapped, "No. Not going to happen. I'm not even going to ask the cook". Um... ok. Is that really your call? Cracking an egg on a flattop is not a big deal. I should have changed my order right there, but I went ahead and ordered it medium. What arrived was not the tender chopped steak of my dreams, smothered with grilled onions and brown gravy melding into mounds of creamy mashed potatoes. No. What I got was a rock hard, hockey puck of a hamburger patty that looked like it had been cooked for lunch and reheated on the grill. I've never had a drier, more inedible piece of meat. It was so hard that it actually made a noise when I tapped my knife on it. I tried to choke down as much of it as I could, and I finally gave up. Of course the waitress didn't bother to ask if something was wrong as she bussed away my mostly uneaten meal. Never again. read more

Awesome breakfast! The hashbrowns are perfection, the sausage has great flavor and the blueberry pancakes are ginormous...everything is so tasty without being covered in grease. The portions are huge too, so if you are getting ready to go out on a big hike you'll have enough to eat you can probably lighten your day-pack snacks :) Super friendly staff, and they are knowledgable about the Park if you have questions or want recommendations. Lunch and dinner options are good too, but the breakfast can't be beat! Their soups have always been delicious, too and don't forget the PIE! read more

Great little restaurant and bar in West Glacier as you enter the national park. The restaurant is separate but there is a doorway (near the restrooms) pointing to the lounge and there you find a dark roomy bar. We escaped the August rain one night just to get some snacks at the restaurant and were very relieved to find out that they stayed open past 10pm unlike Eddie's in Agpar Village. Despite the fact that only two of our six were actually eating meals, the waitresses were super kind and brought us placemats with crayons for my niece and nephew as well as passing out extra plates for french fries and such. I always feel bad going into a restaurant 15 minutes before they close, but these gals were so nice I didn't even feel guilty (what with being a server myself). The connecting bar we went to both that night and the next night and we got some great tastes of the local Montana brews. I tried an Organic Pale Ale by the Blackfoot River Brewing Co. one night and the very next night I got to try a new one on tap, same brewing company, but their IPA. I was stoked to get a selection at all! Plus we went on a Sunday night and I am telling you- in Glacier National Park at our campsite it was well past quiet time, we thought the bar would probably be closed. We were pleasantly surprised as it was busier than the Saturday night crowd by far! (All the park workers celebratin' the end of their week!) So we met some fellow nature lovers and had a terrific time. I even got the pleasure of falling FLAT ON MY FACE in front of about fifteen people, as I ran up the front two stairs of the bar porch to get to a bathroom. Totally embarrassing, but all the beer I'd drunken really took the edge off that fall. I WILL go back. Glacier Park was amazing and their IS a nightlife during the summer! read more

We came here to have lunch, and this place is busy! Lots of tourists stop by to grab a bite and go sightseeing the vast wilderness recreation area Montana is famous for. I ordered a sandwich and the service was dependable in spite of the atmosphere. read more

It should have been called WORST Glacier restaurant! The worst food I have ever had. It was all frozen (we got a chicken steak) and the mashed potatoes were obviously from a box. The food had a smell and taste of recently washed dishes. The atmosphere and the service reminded us of a poorly organized high school cafeteria. Not worth the money!!!! read more

Yesterday my family went to this cafe and outside were 2 little ladies drinking huckleberry milkshakes. We asked them how they were and they said,"Very good but be aware this cafe is extremely disorganized!" SO TRUE! We stood in ONE of the lines for OVER 20 minutes because ON THE MENU for THIS line it said Huckleberry milkshakes and pie. When we finally got to the front of the line the lady informed us that unless we were ordering burgers with the pie and milkshake that we had to go stand in a different line that was equally as long if not longer. No signage ANYWHERE indicating something like this and the lady had the nerve to get huffy when we complained about it saying to us, "I'm not the one that is in charge of signage but it's only obvious!" Really?! It's only obvious WHEN YOU HAVE IT LISTED ON THE MENU FOR THE LINE YOU ARE STANDING IN!!? Apparently it was not obvious to the two little ladies outside either! Instead, a simple " I am so sorry we should have it listed somewhere. Let me help you with that since you've waited so long in line," would have made my review way different. My son's hamburger was extremely rare. The garden burger was pretty decent. The fish and chips were alright. The huckleberry iced tea was great, but the huckleberry lemonade was not good at all. You definitely pay extra because you are eating in the park. Courtney our waitress was great! read more

We stopped in for a last minute dinner and I was impressed. We were seated quickly and service was attentive. I had the special, the chicken oscar which was very good. I was disappointed that the potatoes were instant. My husband was not as pleased with his meal- his burger was extremely overdone and dry. The house red wine was stale. It's just a country diner with average food and they get away with charging high price because of their location. I got the fried chicken since there is not too much you can do to screw up fried chicken. Nothing else was worth mentioning. The customer service was not bad. I ate here several times on my 4 day stay at GNP the week before memorial day weekend. The staff were great, super friendly and the food was great! On my first day my waitress recommended the running elk burger which was so good and was complimented with seasoned fries. I had both lunch and dinner at this place and was never disappointed. I was there early in the season so I never had to wait the restaurant was still slow. everything was fresh and not pre-frozen. If you are looking for a beer to go with your meal try the summer honey its a delicious lager. I should have had breakfast here on my last day vs Russels fireside dinning room at Lake McDonald lodge which was overpriced and seriously disappointing. Will be sure eating here again next time I visit GNP! I was told by one of the regular waitstaff that there is new owners who have gone back to fresh not frozen meats. I see alot of negative reviews from past years, I would recommend giving this place a try looks like they have improved. read more
