My family of 6 came to this restaurant based on the reviews from Yelp. We were seated quickly but waited a bit before being given menus and then again before getting drinks. We were told the fryer was down and that they were out of potato salad so our options for a side were limited to tortilla chips, cottage cheese or coleslaw. We placed our order and after a pretty lengthy wait again, finally got our food. Four of the six meals were pretty good-pulled pork sandwich, grilled chicken wrap and turkey Rueben-but the steak on my sons wrap was really overdone and my pastrami rueben was definitely on the burnt side and very dry. I was so hungry from hiking and waiting so long that I didn't complain but I was definitely disappointed, especially given the price of the meals. No way was my sandwich worth the $14. To top it off, when my hubby went to pay the bill, the gratuity for 18% was already added on and couldn't be changed. Don't know if that's for all the bills there or just us because we were a party of 6, but would have been nice to have been told that ahead of time if that was the case. I understand staffing is really tough everywhere and our waitress looked like the only one working, but it was a lot longer than we'd planned to break for lunch and quality of food was sub par. Opened up Yelp just to sing praises of Glacier's Edge Cafe. My father and I spent five days, four nights in Glacier National Park. Hiking roughly twelve miles daily, we came into lunch hungry as a bear. There's little choice of selection for diners near Glacier. Little cafes dot Highway 89 while some food resides in St. Mary, but pickings remain slim. Blind as a bat with a tourist's sense of direction, we decided on the aptly-named Glacier's Edge Cafe for our first lunch. Perhaps guardian angels guided us, maybe fate had a week of shining glory, or God erred on the side of good deeds. Whatever the cause, I humbly thank whatever divine force directed us to this hidden gem nestled in Babb. Two Diet Pepsis, a Cuban, and a chicken salad later, two satiated individuals reflected on perhaps the most enjoyable lunch of their year-to-date. My cuban was perfect, with a flawless pickle-to-cheese ratio complemented by a savory sauce. The protein, a mixture of ham and turkey from what I recall, seamlessly blended with the saline pickle and melted cheese for, to put it bluntly, a goddamn good sandwich. We ate lunch there for the entirety of our trip. It was simply too good to pass up! read more

A great small town cafe!!! I was initially disappointed since they just stopped serving breakfast. we had their coffee which was robust and not bitter. I also recommend their philly sandwich and thick tortilla soup. I would come back in a heart beat. read more

Good coffee, service, food, portion sizes, prices, etc. Not gourmet just a good basic cafe. Went for breakfast. As a disclaimer we are from the South where we specialize in breakfast so I am probably more picky than most but this is a good choice for in an area with few choices for breakfast. read more

We loved the tomato blue cheese soup the chef makes on sight. It was unique and delicious. We ordered two different burritos. We had the A-Clay47 ( beef ) and the chicken burrito with "Max" in its name. Can't remember the exact name. We each ate half of each one. Our favorite was the beef burrito. Large and tasty. Definitely will eat here again especially if they have the same soup. read more

We were ambivalent about stopping at the only cafe in town, but are so glad we did! We were greeted with a warm smile and settled into our comfortable booth by the window. The menu offered a nice selection and the coffee and tea were very good. Both our breakfasts -- vegetable hash with a side of scrambled eggs and two eggs over easy, hash browns and an English muffin -- were well-prepared: delicious, hot and fresh. This is a hidden gem just outside of St. Mary's in Babb. Very cool diner with a nice feel and the waitress was attentive and polite. The food was awesome and the menu has a wide variety from wraps to burgers. The service was fast and it was very reasonably priced. I noted on the menu it states "one refill on tea and soft drinks" which is fine. My cup could not possible hold any more ice so the amount of tea wasn't that much so I felt that was an issue since there was not much tea in the drink I was served. The ice didn't melt so I am pretty sure the tea was cold when added. I had a burger and fries and one of my sons had a wrap. Everyone was extremely pleased with their food and it was nice to stop in and eat and not have a long drawn out production- straightforward quick great food. If you are in the area this place is a great place to visit and recommend. Based on other food in the area I think $$ is more accurate than $ and this is a cash only diner, just as an FYI. read more

Since we were staying at the motel across the street, we ate here a few times. Our sandwiches at lunch- Cuban and grilled vegetables- were fine. Sides of Cole slaw and French fries were good. Breakfast was ample. Lots of hash browns, thick bacon, good local coffee. Waitress was super friendly. read more

Considering the location, this is a great café. The food was good, and there was a variety of foods such as salads, sandwiches, burritos, and milkshakes--almost like a classic diner. The breakfast options are also really good. Prices are awesome. read more
