Foreman's Stout - full bodied, delicious. Ginger/Lemonade - refreshing, sooooo GOOD. House Fries - sliced as chips, but so good. Hummus - great consistency, but needed some citrus to finish it off. Still good, but I am picky about hummus. Tzatziki sauce - incredible, delicious, get this. Pecan Salad with Chicken - HOLY SMOKES, my wife loved this dish. She made me come back another time just so she vould have it again. Gyro Platter - light on the chicken, but really delicious. It was enough for two or more meals. That…read moreconversation convinced me to make the trip to Columbia Falls to visit the brewery, and I'm glad I did. What I discovered wasn't just excellent craft beer--it was some of the most memorable brewery food I've ever had. Back Slope took ordinary menu items and turned them into something extraordinary. The pulled pork sandwich and fried chicken sandwich were simply exceptional. The chicken was hand-cut, brined in pickle juice, carefully breaded, and fried to a perfect golden crust. The sauce brought everything together perfectly. Those sandwiches weren't just good--they were the reason I looked forward to returning. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit I discovered that both signature sandwiches are gone. The pulled pork sandwich has been removed from the menu, and the fried chicken has been replaced with commercially prepared chicken. We ordered other menu items, and while they were perfectly acceptable, they lacked the creativity and quality that made Back Slope feel special. What was once an unforgettable dining experience has become, in my opinion, just another brewery with decent food. The service, however, remains excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and greeted us with a genuine smile, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I understand that restaurants evolve and sometimes difficult business decisions have to be made. Still, it's disappointing when the very dishes that set a place apart disappear. Back Slope still has good beer and great service, but the unique culinary experience that once made it worth going out of my way to visit no longer seems to be there. I sincerely hope they consider bringing those signature sandwiches back, because they were truly something special.

Plenty of local beers. Some Trappist beers. But no Weihenstephaner, my favorite Trappist brews. Service was cordial. The shop was busy. Trivia: What is the word for a measurement of sugar content in a liquid used to estimate the potential alcohol content in wine? Trivia: In 1925, this word originated in regards to a place that sells liquor and wines.

Grilled chicken was overcooked and chicken was extremely dry. Waffles fries were also overcooked and the need to change out the oil in the fryer. Philly was also just ok, but overpriced. We also went to their bar and I ordered an Irish coffee. I quickly returned it when I sipped some coffee grinds in my cup. I asked for a beer instead and the bartender only gave me half a cup of beer. The Irish coffee is $9 while a beer is $7. Yea, I will not be coming back here. Service is terrible, food isn't great, and too expensive even for Whitefish. The ride up was very nice, but the views going down is much better.

I had the Norwegian farmhouse ale, Independence, which is a New England ipa, and fire in the hole which is a habenaro wheat. It has a lot of Montana beers on draft. We ordered pizza and the pretzel. We wanted to try the pies but they were out. Pizza hit the spot. Pretzel was okay. Beer was tasty. We had played some pool (it was free!) It wasn't super busy at first but picked up later in the evening. Seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals/people who worked at Glacier for the summer. They have karaoke on Wednesdays which I'm sad I missed! Perfect spot for a few drinks with a chill vibe!
