Happy the shop is back open now! I had a pedicure with my and hubby. Well it always seems that the hubby gets the better person! LOL. But anyway we paid 55.00 for the new pedicure procedure which didn't feel any better then the other one. I was a little disappointed that the $55 pedi didn't offer the hot stones, but the $50 service did. I guess the CBD cost the extra $10 as it felt like I had a normal pedicure. Even though the person cut me to much to make me bleed and didn't say anything about it until I was like is that blood coming from my toenail. Glad I bring my own cuticle trimmers. But my hubby person name Gemy (hope spelled it correctly) was great he said. The shop was nice and clean they make you wash your hands after signing in which is good. I had an appointment at 4:45pm. There was a walk in that went in moments before me and got helped first. I ended up having to wait 15-20 minutes, before my services began. The lady technician who did my nails was extremely kind, but when doing the designs it overall felt rushed. She only looked at my reference photo once, and I had to remind her of a colors that I wanted. She was helping both me and another client at the time, so it truly felt that she was just trying to hurry me up even though I was there first. She did all my nail designs in under 5 minutes so I feel as if the attention to detail wasn't there. The male technician was also very kind, but he made multiple comments about me being pretty which made me feel uncomfortable and felt unprofessional. I used to bounce around various salons for acrylic and dip powder, but I'm now 100% in love with Glamour for the last year or so. They did my wedding nails a few years ago, absolutely extravagant nails and experience with wine for my girls and I. My designs were complicated and turned out amazing. Today's nails were unique and fun, per usual, with Herdy doing all of my designs and services for almost a year. I made online reservations for my daughters weeks in advance, both received confirmation texts. When they got to the salon, the owner/manager said he couldn't find a reservation for either of them, even though they had the text confirmations. He agreed to fit them in, then proceeded to talk about my daughters to other customers. Their nails turned out nicely, techs were wonderful, but the owner/manager displayed horrible customer service. If you can't handle online reservations, please don't offer them. We will not go back to this salon. read more

Was on time to my appointment but still waited 40 minutes.... 40 MINUTES! Totally unacceptable and I should've walked out but I didn't so here I am writing this review. After 40 minutes of waiting, the nail tech took 25 minutes to do my nails (French acrylic with gel). Most places take about 60-90 minutes. The nail tech was very rushed and when I asked for better shaping it just got worse. On top of that, the "manicure" was painful and my cuticles were burning. To add to this whole experience, one of the customers was talking very loudly and being over the top which made my time even more unenjoyable. My nails definitely look uneven and rushed. Honestly this was one of the worst places I've ever gotten my nails done.To start, initially I asked for acrylic nails and they took it upon themselves to put gel on my nails instead WITHOUT asking me. They also did the bare minimum when doing my nails. They didn't do my cuticles nothing. Not only did they do the bare minimum, but it took them an hour and a half to finish them. Finally by the time I left I had glue still remaining all over my fingers. There was so many things wrong with my appointment. When I called to set it up they didn't set it up right and there was a lot of confusion. Then I get there and nobody is ready for me, three+ workers were on their phones. I was just standing in the entry way not knowing what to do since it was my first time. After getting checked in I get ready for my pedicure and tell him that I wanted clear GEL. He proceeded to try and talk me out of it 4 times. While getting the pedicure, he cut off so much of my nail that he ended up cutting of my skin. Then he didn't ask what shape I wanted my nails, so when I left I had uneven square shaped toe nails. For nail polish, he did 1 singular coat of clear nail polish and that was it. After that they tried to make me pay before even getting my manicure. For my manicure, I was getting acrylics. There was no nail prep done at all. She only dehydrated my nails, and it ended up turning my nails yellow. The look I was going for was going to have a white base with chrome on top. She did not listen to me, and the proceeded to use a clear nail polish. So not only are my nails yellow, I don't even have the acrylics that I paid 75 dollars for. Now since absolutely no nail prep was done, my nails are falling off. This makes me so mad because I got them done 3 days ago. Another thing is, the nail beads are uneven. I have bumps on my nails because of it. Oh, she also put acrylic over my cuticle. do not recommend going here at all! read more

Where should I begin with my experience. Only one of the nail technicians seemed happy. I didn't catch her name. She had purple blue hair, she was the only one who seemed happy. My nail techs name was lo. I signed up for a dip manicure. Their system is confusing. I did not receive a manicure. Then at the end of my dip she used the same light that use for shellac. The reason why I like dip is because I don't want the light. Then it was time for my pedicure once again an inconvenience to the nail technician. I could tell my nail was very new. I've never been to such an unfriendly nail salon. I would rate my dip nails a 3 on a scale of 1-5. I would rate my pedicure a 2 on a scale of 1-5. read more

This is hands down the worst mani pedi I have ever got. They are aloof and rushed my nails even though they were not busy. They kicked my shoes away and put there tools on my phone. My appointment was with Michelle and she did a fine job. Actually she did a fantastic job and is one of the best I've seen anywhere in the country. I highly recommend her for gel sculptured nails. Absolutely the worst mani experience I've ever had. An older gentleman serviced my nails and was clearly inexperienced. He was asking the technician next to me for advice frequently and utilized a cuticle tool to barely scratch the surface of my nail bed. He did not push back nor clean my cuticles and he began applying dip powder on half of my nail-now my nails look chunky and you can clearly see the threshold. He kept telling me to relax when I complained that his filing caused me to bleed on multiple fingers. Then they over charged me $10.00. Will not be going back and highly recommend you don't either. read more

The atmosphere was beautiful, especially in comparison to other nail salons around the Fox Valley, with pink walls and white chairs. The guy who did my nails did a great job and I loved my manicure and pedicure! The only problem I had was that when I walked in, this was my first time, one of the female nail techs told me I could upgrade from a $35 mani/pedi to a $50 gel mani/basic pedi. The decor is very girly w/ pink walls & white furniture, leather sofas w/ a flat screen TV while you wait. Staff was friendly & welcoming. Each nail table has built in UV lights & they have very up to date pedicure chairs. I called ahead & made an appmt, they were ready for me when I got there. Soaked my shellac manicure off, got a good manicure, cut cuticles off & shaped my nails exactly how I asked. They had the expertise to know not to use the drill on my nails, which was great. Had a great Shellac color selection & my nails looked gorg. I was in/out in 40 mins & price was very reasonable. Shellac & manicure = $35. read more

I went here based off of the reviews on Yelp. I am so glad I did! I had my nails done for my trip to Mexico and it was $35 for a gel manicure. They had a large selection of colors to choose from and the guy who did my nails did a wonderful job. He was almost done and noticed a bubble in one of my nails, so he redid the nail so it was perfect. He was fast and did a great job, my manicure lasted for a month until I decided to get a new color put on. Came to get a gel manicure- the lady that did my nails was very rude. I got a pretty olive green color. Not sure what top coat she used, but within days the tips of my nails had turned a nasty darker color and began to chip.I live 45 minutes away from this salon and I contacted them to get fixed with no response. I left massages and emails. Nobody has gotten back in contact with me. I will not be returning to glamour nails. read more

I don't understand all the five star reviews. Perhaps this business is paying Yelp to post only them. There is absolutely nothing special about this salon. Very typical. My pedicure was adequate, although the soles of my feet got minimum attention. Apparently, one has to pay $10 extra to get any treatment of callouses. There were some other disappointing things: * While all salons have a chemical scent from the various products that are used, this salon's chemical scent was really strong. It made me uncomfortable when I was on the manicure side of the shop picking out my polish. Perhaps they do not have good ventilation. * The selection of polishes seems to favor non-traditional colors. I have nothing against those nail colors, but I wanted a more traditional pink. Typically, I find half a dozen options that I like and have a hard time choosing. In this case, I had a hard time finding one that I liked. Perhaps this is also due to the fact that the colors are all mixed together on the four-sided rack, rather than being clustered by color. * In most salons, after one's nails are dry, one of the employees helps the customer put on her sandals and get out of the chair. No one showed any interest in helping me. I stood at the front counter waiting to pay until the young man reading his phone screen got around to coming over and helping me pay. * When it was time for my pedicure, the young man who did my nails stood by his pedicure stand and called to me to come over. I didn't hear him initially. At most salons, the stylist approaches the customer and accompanies her to the pedicure station. When I paid, I was given a punch card for a free something-or-other after ten visits. I left the card on the counter. I doubt that I will make ten visits to this salon. read more

They pushed my appointment back twice and then bumped me all together just because it was a couple of girlfriends and I versus a larger group. I couldn't reschedule to the time they preferred so they rudely said they couldn't take me. I'm fine with that because I went to another salon and looked just as good. I visited this nail salon a few weeks ago when I was in town on business. The staff was courteous and the salon seemed relatively clean. I usually do not get pedicures at places I am not familiar with and honestly I wish I would have stuck to this in this circumstance. For my pedicure I chose the spa pedicure, at least that is what I recall as the name. Anyhow the tech put some callus remover on my feet. After she put it on, it started burning. I alerted her to this and she said just a few more minutes. In hindsight, I should have told her to take it off immediately. By the end of the pedicure my feet were still burning. Two weeks later, I STILL have FOUR deep scabs on the bottom and side of my heel. A few days ago, it was red and warm so my husband has been checking it for me daily because I cannot adequately examine it because of the location. I am afraid I will have to see my doctor because it may be infected. I would NEVER step foot into this place again and in good conscience would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Relocating from the East Coast it was very hard to find a good nail salon with talented people. When I pick a place, there are few things that are important to me: talent of the manicurist and how clean are the instruments and tubs for the pedicure. The rest is just extra for me, for example, atmosphere and etc. When I come out from a nail salon i look for quality of work and eventually no nail infections. The owners are from CA, so they know and used to picky customers. If you are a picky customer this is your go to place. Michelle and Tony are great! They do a wonderful job! I am sure other guys are great too! In addition, that I haven't seen in any other place in the area before I became a regular customer, metal tools go through the sterilization process before they get used ( no blue antiseptic water!). If you are in the medical industry you know how important is this step. Additional 5 stars just for this!!! If you become a regular customer you can ask for your own tool box or even bring your own instruments and nail polishes of a different brand like I do. Otherwise, they have a huge selection of colors for any client. Great place and great guys!!! Too bad I am relocating to a different state and have to look for another place with talented people.
