However, in my opinion, from the standpoint of someone garnering quotes for a future mirror replacement, the receptionist or customer service associate who answered the phone did not have a good enough concept of (potential) customer relations. After a truly harrowing, somewhat traumatizing freeway experience, I thought the person answering the phone would at least have some kind of empathy or even just a professional, friendly tone. My initial request to speak to a mechanic or service advisor was ignored. Anyways, I volunteered info about the make, model, year and color of the car, but she only seemed interested in the VIN number, which I provided. Any other place asks for all of this info. She actually said I read the VIN number too fast at the end of my reading of it, which makes no sense as I never read numbers that fast out of courtesy.
