The only place you should go to get your glass replaced in Houston, TX. I had gone to another shop yesterday and was extremely disappointed in the service I received at that place. I could tell something was off and decided to bring my mom's Lexus GS350 to Texas Auto Glass (TAG). I did some research beforehand and found out that TAG is trusted by Lexus here in Houston to replace their windshields. The same information was confirmed to me on Reddit and also on Yelp. I drove in this morning and Stacey (owner) took complete care of me. I asked him to take a look at the job done by the other company. He immediately noticed all the faults that the previous shop did. He pointed out that they had scratched the paint underneath the windshield but did not paint/prime over it, they had broken my clips, and my side molding was also broken on the passenger side. I was right there next to him and saw it as well. Furthermore, he noticed the upper panel seal near the roof was used with an aftermarket option and hence caused the panel gap to widen and slide my windshield further down, to the point where it partially covers the VIN number. I'm really glad to have found TAG and Stacey in Houston. He helped me to fix all the areas that were faulty and I wish that I had gone to TAG for the entire windshield replacement. Well, I've learned my lesson. Stacey and TAG use only Lexus OEM side moldings and seals so that the overall integrity of the glass is maintained. I can tell he is a man who pays attention to detail and is meticulous. This is the kind of person I want to do business with. Thanks again, Stacey. Where do I start... First, I made an appointment on (Friday) to get my back passenger window replaced (due to being shattered completely) and to add full coverage tint around my brand new 2024 Jeep Compass. After, the process was done I came out to inspect my vehicle and noticed several air bubbles around the edge of the tint, along with the a broken window trim frame. I made the staff aware of my concerns with the work done and the response I received was unprofessional and highly upsetting. Heather proceeded to have an attitude with me as I described my concerns with the work done. She stated that she would not be able to get anyone to fix the problem until the following week (Monday). I explained to her very nicely that I did not bring my car into their shop with these issues. She proceeded to walk away from me with an attitude while I was still talking. I asked to speak with manager and funny enough she stated she was the manager. Overall, I dropped my vehicle off at 9:30am and my vehicle was not ready until 4:30pm. I am now waiting here and it's 6:09pm passed business hours awaiting for my vehicle to be restored to its prime condition. Heather did not apologize at ALL for the inconvenience. Heather needs some additional training in giving an exceptional customer service experience. Hopefully, no one else will have to deal with the unfortunate circumstances that I have encountered. The Passenger Side Power Window in my 1999 Toyota Tacoma was stuck in the down position. I took it in to Texas Auto Glass, Wednesday, 07- 03 - 24. Elizabeth ordered a new Motor and Regulator for the Passenger Side Window. She said it would cost about $250 for Parts and Labor. She said to bring it in early at about 8:30am, Friday 07-05-24, morning, and that they could get it back to me by early afternoon. So, I did. Elizabeth called me at about 9:30am, to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the Motor, or Regulator. The problem was just that the switch needed to be reset. However, they had to tear open the door to find out that there was nothing wrong with the Motor, and Regulator. So, all she charged me was $50 for the labor. She COULD have charged me the $250, and I never would have known the difference. BUT, she is an honest, very nice, lady. Thank you so very much Elizabeth!!! read more

Called the glass shop. Gave me a quote, ordered the glass, made an appt. There was a delay for an hour with the glass and they called me immediately to update me to reschedule as any professional should. Went in for appointment sat down and talked and my car was ready within an hour an a half. Broken glass was cleaned up and window worked perfectly. Felt like I went through a fast food drive through. Elizabeth is a sweetheart! I called her last night after the parts guy at Lexus gave me their number. I had to get the windshield trim on my window replaced. I talked with Elizabeth last night and asked if it would be okay if I dropped my car off in the am to get the Trim replaced. She was so helpful. Gave me directions. Told me about the key drop box. Needless to say I dropped my car off at 7am it was ready by 10am. They did such a great job! Their work is top notch. If you have any kind of work that needs to be done come see them. Texas Auto Glass did an excellent job in replacing my cracked RV windshield. They came to my house to do the work which was amazing service. The windshield was huge and it took almost 3 hours to complete the job. The owner and installer did the work and took great pride in their quality and precise installation. The new windshield looks great and the trim is as good or better than the original windshield. There were some communication issues in setting and following up on the appointment. The windshield was custom made and shipped to Texas Auto Glass. They never contacted me when the windshield was received and I had to follow up with them once the supplier told me they and shipped it. It took about another week to set up an appointment, but I understand it is difficult to schedule with our crazy weather this summer. They indicated they would call me the morning of the appointment to give me a more accurate time for installation. They never contacted me and when I reached out to them I was told they were busy but someone should be by sometime in the afternoon, between 3-4. I called back at 4pm to check the status and was told they were not sure but would let me know when they would come by. I checked back at 5pm and was told that they were "on their way," but would get it handled. The installers arrived about 7pm and worked until 10pm. I appreciate this company getting the work done on the day promised and the hard work demonstrated by the installers. If you use them, I would encourage you to follow up on requested work to avoid any surprises or delays. read more

My day started with me minding my own business when all of a sudden time starts to slow down. I look of into the distant and see a small speck coming towards me. The closer it got I realized what was going to happen. It was as if someone from the civil war pointed an old musket at my car. It was no bigger than a marble and there was absolutely no possible way of dodging it. Then bam, the sound of cracking and this meaningless piece of debris has officially ruined my day. This literally happening before inspection I got a bull-eye sized crack in my windshield right in my line of sight. So I asked the Yelp gods where I should go and they led me to this place. The place seems family own which I tend to like over shady little tents that are outside a grocery story. Just call me persnickety. I wanted to get the crack fixed but my fear/ speculation came true, the chip was way to big to fix. The guy suggested to me that I would need a new windshield especially if I were to pass inspection. In my head, I was thinking this was going to set me back a couple hundred dollars. This is were my luck changed, I got half the price of what I saw online and couldn't be happier. This place is wonderful. The people there make you feel welcomed and enjoy making their customers happy. Giving this place anything thing short of 5 star would be blasphemous. I will not only keep coming back to this place but will recommend this place to everyone I know as if it's the promise land. Called TAG after another company came out and nearly ruined my car trying to replace the windshield , but without any knowledge of the car. TExas auto glass was very responsive . Holly , my customer service specialist helped to get me pricing and a date with their best installer. She did not disappoint. She sent Stacy , who , although alone on the job, is one of the best service pros I've met in Houston. He was on time , very attentive to details and made sure the car was secure and in a great spot for the actual removal of the old and installation of the new. He removed all stickers from old and re installed on new flawlessly. The windshield looks great again thanks to Stacy. Cost : you get what you pay for. I priced the windshield at Houston Jaguar North and it appears that TAG was very reasonable in their pricing , and more importantly, they were thorough and thoughtful about what windshield to install. Received a rock chip and Texas Auto Glass came quickly and fixed it with a smile before it could get any bigger.

I was given their number from my dealership to replace a window after my car was broken into. I was told they would be there at 2PM. I ended up calling almost every hour after they didn't show up by 3PM. It is now 6:30 PM and I am still waiting. If they were overbooked I wish they would have told me when I booked the appointment. I would have gladly gone to someone that could do the job in a timely matter. This is extremely unprofessional and I am disappointed I wasted my time with this company. ***UPDATE*** I originally gave this company 1 star. In an effort to make up for the delay the replaced the tint on the window for free. I do appreciate the fact they wanted to correct the situation. How is it that this place doesn't have any reviews?! They're great, and have been here forever. I've had them put tint on my car windows several times (two new-to-me cars, and once as a replacement for a window that crapped out after many years of faithful service--they do honor their warranty!) and they've replaced two auto windshields, one after my husband drove into a pole in our garage (long story) which wasn't covered by insurance but they gave us a reasonable price. They do insurance work as well. The place doesn't look like much, but I have found them to be friendly, professional and honest....and frankly, just nice people. From what I understand, they do tinting for several dealerships as well, but you can get it for yourself without the markup. If it's good enough for the car dealer, it's good enough for me...it's where I send my friends, and now other yelpers. read more

They gave me a great quote, however when I spoke to them they were extremely rude. I told them to call me back for an approximate time I can come in, and if the time was too late I would go somewhere else for the window and just get the tint here. However she never called me back and when I called back she told me I was the one that was supposed to call her and tell her if I was going to fix the window at their place. She totally missed the point of what I said and blamed it on my own faults. I needed the window done ASAP because of school and time restraints, and this left me on a sour note of not wanting to bring my patronage to this place. read more

Called a few places that do mobile auto glass replacement and Texas Auto Glass was the friendliest and responsive as well as the lowest price of the group. My work is located in Montrose so they had to charge a trip fee but still was well worth it for these pros to work on my car. They came out before the scheduled install time. They vacuumed the broken glass, replaced the new side window all within about an hour! They did great work no, scratches, scuffs or scars on the interior, seals well and works great. Best auto glass replacement there is. Texas weather is crazy & on my way to work one morning in Dec 2016, a rock hit my windshield & chipped the glass. I decided I would call around at lunch time to find a place to get it fixed. NOPE not gonna happen. It was around 48° in the morning and at lunch it was in the upper 70's. So by lunch time the little chip had spread a good 4 inches across my windshield. Gotta love Texas weather. I have a $500 deductible...yuck. Called Safe-lite & they would come to my job & fix it for $440. Ouch. I called a local auto glass place, they don't come to you, you bring it to them & leave it for 5 hours! And they're only open Monday - Friday 8-5, so I would have to take time off from work. All this for the cheap price of $414...uh, no. I called Texas Auto Glass & was given the choice of 4 different "makers" with varying prices. They came to my office & were very professional. It took them a little over an hour & they were done!! That cost me $325. Very nice. As a single mother, home & auto owner, this was such a great deal. Highly recommended from the phone operator to the installers. read more

Elizabeth at Texas Auto Glass had the drivers window on my girlfriends Subaru replaced in six hours, and charged us fifty dollars less than her quote, which was already 2/3 of Safelite's quote. Having your car broken into on Christmas Day and all of your gifts, purse, wallet and credit cards stolen really put a damper on our Christmas. A business looking out for their customers. I came in with a couple of rock chips that needed repair. I was quoted $54 but told that my insurance may be able to pay for the repair (since they'd rather pay for a repair than a replacement). I called my insurance and they told me that they did not cover rock chip repair but Elizabeth (the counter person at TAG) told me that they handle those claims all the time and suggested I try again. Lo and behold, I call my insurance company's claim department and they do cover it! Saved myself $55 :) read more
