Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Glass Definition. I called them to schedule an appointment for an estimate to install a frameless shower. Based on my availability, I scheduled the appointment with Glass Definition on a Friday afternoon. While speaking to Glass Definition to schedule the appointment, the guy on the phone kept me on the phone asking tons of questions including personal irrelevant questions for 20 minutes while I was at work. I had never had such a lengthy phone conversation while scheduling an appointment for an estimate. Although odd, I finally was able to hang up and looked forward to meeting the folks at Glass Definition to discuss the work I would like to have had done to my shower. Glass Definition called the day of the appointment canceling the appointment and complaining about driving on the 405 to the "westside" on a Friday. THIS PLACE IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Knocking off one star because Andy never got back to me with a quote on mirrors for another bath and he said he would arrive with the installers the morning of install. Not a big deal, but he did say he would. My install had some quirks so I had to go over it all again with the installers. I have a huge 10 foot by 7 foot full wall mirror that was coming off the wall. Had another shower door installed. Looks great, but slams hard. Wrote them to ask if it was normal. Told it was not normal for it to self-close past 45 degrees. It slams shut at 50-60 degrees. He sent a crew to inspect and they said there was nothing to do to fix it. Made a video of the door issue for the owner to see -- and no reply. I called after 2 weeks -- figuring he was going to reply or get back to me soon. He was angry with me for calling and said I had to follow email instructions he sent. I never received them, and had I, I would have followed them. When I asked if he could resend he told me to check my spam filters!? That he was too busy and had already invested enough time sending his guys out and calling the door manufacturer. First I'd heard of this and told him so -- and he was still angry telling me he's a REALLY BUSY man. As if he's the only person in the world who is busy?? RUDE and not expected at all since on the previous door install he was very nice and it was done wonderfully. I just want to have the door shut without slamming. WORRIED the door will fail soon -- already the clear strip at the top is popped off. Door was used once - guest room. Another excellent review for a top notch company. GD recently installed shower enclosures in 4 baths for me. Having gone thru a very extensive remodeling project, it's great to work with a company that is professional, responsible, and knowledgeable about their craft. Andy visited the job site twice due to my busy schedule, just to make sure all the details were covered. He answered all my questions and gave me excellent advice about what he thought would work best. He showed me pictures on his iPad of the various fixtures as we made our selections. We discussed options such as 3/8 vs 1/2 glass, low iron glass, factory coatings, etc, and the various costs/benefits. After agreeing on the specs, we went ahead and ordered the glass. They predicted it would take approx one week to get everything ready for install, and they were exactly right. GD was able to accommodate my schedule and 2 experienced, courteous installers came on a Saturday and spent the entire day working. There was one hiccup - one glass panel had a very slight concavity on an edge which wasn't noticed until after the install. I spoke to Andy about it and he immediately called the manufacturer. It turns out the manufacturer polished out a nick, causing the curve. No problem, Andy had them remake the panel and it was replaced the very next Saturday. All jobs can have little hiccups, and it's how they are resolved which makes the difference between a great company and and a mickey mouse operation. Thanks Andy and GD! read more
