Our frameless glass shower door had slid down in its hinge, preventing the door from closing. We reached out to a handful of companies on Yelp and were told by most that they don't service doors they didn't install, but would come out for a full shower door replacement. Ricardo from Glass 4 U on the other hand was quick to respond and assess what was needed through pictures I sent, provided a fair flat-rate estimate, and was able to come and do the repair within a few days. I wasn't present when the work was done, but he took the time beforehand to describe how he would do the repair, provided before/after pictures to show the work that he did, and then called me afterwards to arrange payment. He is also careful not to damage anything around the windows when removing the frames. Where should I start! The glass window to the side lite front door was accidently damaged on 6/26 and we needed to have the window fixed before this coming weekend. Highly recommend! On the recommendation of a family friend who has used Ricardo's services before, I called him when unexpectedly a glass pane in a window in our living room broke. I was a little careless, and I broke one of the sidewalls on my shower enclosure. I thought oh great how long is this gonna take to get fixed so I called about three or four companies and everybody was booked solid for a couple weeks. Nobody could even come and look at the job to give me an estimate, except Ricardo. He came the same day gave me an estimate and promised me to have the door by Friday and it was already Tuesday. Ricardo came out and installed some really nice glass doors for my Air B&B after we remodeled it. It was a small job and awakened getting panels up to my unit. Had other glass contractors refuse due to the extra hassle. Ricardo never said a thing about the difficulties getting the panels up to my unit. His price was very competitive compared to other contractors who wanted to charge me a ridiculous fee just to get the panels up. GLASS 4 U VAN NUYS - BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AT ALL!!! If I could give a Zero rating I would have, Ricardo came by with a helper on Monday, Aug 7th, 2023 for the set appointment to re-glue my bathroom mirror. He arrived missing one suction cup and a filthy rag which he placed on my bathroom counter, the other guy was in the truck searching for the other suction cup which he did not find, Recado told me that they are missing one suction cup and they cannot do the job today but will be back at 6:00 pm to do the project. I received a text from Recardo at 5:00 pm saying they are unable to pick up the suction cup until sometime the next day (Tuesday 8th) and asked to reschedule, I text Recardo back to please advise the earliest he can come back on Tuesday 8th but he did not respond, I called no response, today is Wednesday 9th with no communication from him or the company Glass 4 u , meanwhile my bathroom stinks from the filthy rag they brought to my home, this company is not a professional company Recardo is totally unreliable and unprofessional, much less to say about his helper, BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY DO NOT DO BUSIBNESS WITH THEM AT ALL!!! read more
