I originally went to Home Depot and I would have had to buy a screen, the tools to fix it, and buy a new frame which would have definitely cost a lot more than what I spent. Absolutely do not give these people your business. Glass Etc. didn't finish the job, left us with the window looking like a construction site on the inside. They scheduled a time to finish it, didn't show up, I called and Junior assured me they were coming. They didn't. I called again, he said he'd call back and reschedule. He did that a second time, expressing "surprise" that it still wasn't finished. Now he just ghosts me and ignores my emails. I'm going to have to take this up with our credit card company. It's very weird, because the guys who installed the window were very pleasant and did a good job of mounting it... but what good is it if they don't finish. WASTE OF TIME. SCAM. AVOID AT ALL COST. These people will give you a price on the phone then they'll come out and measure - and then give you a price that is HIGHER than what they told you originally EVEN THOUGH you've provided clear measurements of what the job is. It's a SCAM and here's why I say this: 1. The price I was given on the phone was $1,200 all in for a Framless Shower Dooer 58 by 75 with Brush Nicle as the finish. I reconfirmed before hanging up that this was all in including taxes and labor. He said YES. 2. And yet, when the Invoice came in - the Glass Window itself is at $1,127.85 So logically speaking, how can you say on the phone that it's $1,200 all in including taxes and labor if you knew very well based on measurements provided and type of glass door requested that the material alone is already at $1,127.85? 3. If you also knew that you charge labor of $300 - why would you say it's $1,200 to begin with? Such a waste of time. They're going to argue with you that your "walls" are not perfectly straight in the bathroom. Even though it's a brand new construction - why they knew - these guys are doing it on purpose to get you to commit to them coming and wasting your time. Giving them 2 stars based only on the fact that we didn't actually use them and I can't speak to the quality of their work. Our customer service experience however was 1 star. Scheduling someone out to get a quote took some time, once he arrived he measured and then was not able to actually give us a quote, said we'd hear from the office. Waited days for the office to contact us, and then they would not give the quote over the phone, rather called to ask for an email address to email the quote. Once the quote was received it seemed very high, but, we also know the price of things has gone way up and weren't sure it was high, or just more than we expected. When asked the timeline of how long it would take if we went with them it was going to be weeks as they needed to order the glass. Called another local company who had a guy out a day and a half later, did a MUCH more thorough job measuring, gave us a quote on the spot, and said it would take aprox a week from placing the order, ordering and install. And their quote was *substantially* less. Went with the other company. Cherry on top? We get an email from Glass, Etc saying just want you to know this offer is only good for a few more days if you don't book it goes up. Nobody felt friendly, helpful, or like they really wanted our business. Very pleased we looked elsewhere. read more
