There was only a slight improvement, and the finished result looks far from what I would consider a good repair. Another issue was the pricing. The price I was quoted beforehand was different from the price I was charged when I arrived, which I found frustrating and unprofessional. Although their pricing may initially seem reasonable, I would recommend avoiding this place and choosing a more reputable windshield repair shop. Once resin has been injected and cured, another technician may have fewer options to redo or improve the repair. The installation seemed fine at first, but the very next day I started hearing a loud rattling noise coming from the windshield while driving for Uber. Even my passengers noticed it and commented that it needed to be fixed. I went back to the shop, but they told me nothing was wrong. The noise wasn't happening during their short test drive, so they dismissed the issue. A few days later, after the noise continued, I returned again. This time they claimed the sound was coming from somewhere else in the car, not the windshield. I insisted it was the windshield and took them on another test drive, where they finally heard the noise themselves. Instead of standing behind their work, they told me that if they removed the windshield to fix it and the glass broke, I would have to pay for a new one. I couldn't understand why I should pay for a problem caused by their installation. A professional business should take responsibility for its own work. After a long argument, they eventually removed the windshield, and it broke during the process, so it had to be replaced. They still tried to make me pay for it. I refused because this was not my mistake. I told them that if they wouldn't honor their work, I would leave an honest Google review and file a complaint. Only after that did they agree to replace it, but the owner became rude and told me never to come back to the shop again. While the windshield has been replaced, I have no confidence that they would stand behind their work if the same issue happens again. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. I brought my Tesla Model X to GlassFixit Auto Glass for a windshield replacement, and I honestly regret ever choosing this place. I should have gone through Tesla Service. First, it took them over 10 days just to pick up the replacement windshield from Tesla. After the installation, things only got worse. My Full Self Driving stopped working, and the cameras never completed calibration even after a full reset and over 100 miles of freeway driving. Clearly, the forward camera housing wasn't aligned correctly during installation -- something any shop working on Tesla vehicles should know. On top of that, the inside of the windshield was filthy. There were fingerprints and handprints all over it, like it had never been cleaned after the install. I even pointed this out to the owner directly and told him the windshield was dirty exactly the way they gave it to me -- and he didn't care at all. When I reached out about the calibration problems, instead of taking responsibility, the owner basically said: "It's your problem. Call Tesla. We only replace glass." No accountability, no willingness to help, and he was extremely rude on top of it. Replacing a Tesla windshield is not just swapping glass. The camera alignment is critical, and they clearly don't have the skill, training, or professionalism to handle it. I do not recommend this shop to anyone -- especially Tesla owners. I initially went to the dealership and was given a hefty estimate, but within 10 minutes of contacting Glassfixit, we were given a very good price (like 4x less!!!) and able to bring the car in right away. They do offer mobile services but I'm a little old fashioned and prefer to bring it in so they have all the equipment/tools handy for any surprises. Someone/thing broke our 2019 car window and SafeLite Glass wanted me to wait 2 weeks for them to fix it because they were ordering a replacement window from Canada. It's stormy season and 2 weeks is just ridiculous. We called some other places and GlassFixIt responded to our urgent request by saying "We close at 6 pm. If you can get here before then, we'll replace your window today" (it was 5:30 pm when we called). Please do not come here. cut corners every which way they can. upon a new windshield install here, the windshield is the wrong fit. noise comes in through the gaps of the ill-fitting product and install, on the freeway now. uneven placement of windshield. glass quality is total crap. i suspect they put some clear gunk over the imperfections on the glass hide them because once that gunk came off there are tiny imperfections all over the glass; tiny chips. these chips pick up light during night driving. and also jold onto dirt. i should had known before evem pulling out of this shop to double check with them because they place a ridiculous blue masking tape on the car's paint to supposedly secure the windshield while it dries for two days... supposedly that masking tape is holding the windshield in place? ridiculous it peeled off on the ride home due to rain. and. I had to polish the masking tape glue off my car's pain. finally the owner got belligerent and rude accusing me of lying when I called when i got home the day of repair. demanded I immediately drive back to show I didn't damage the windshield myself. i made the mistake of not checking Yelp reviews first. anyone cam make a google and make fake reviews to beef up a score. please go someplace else. this place is a scam. i hope my review saves another person the terrible difficulty this shop delivers to its customers. read more

I heard/witnessed an employee or owner yelling at a customer yesterday . Whatever issue, there is a way to solve it and it is never to yell at a customer if the person is dissatisfied with the work. I heard him angrily and loudly yelling that ..we have done many of these for long time and we will charge you 50 dollars if we find the problem is not what we did. Same day drive-in service for the best price I found amongst a handful of others around the Bay. They did matched tinting for $50. Suyog the guy I spoke with was helpful and to the point. They vacuumed the broken glass although this wasn't the best job--still quite a number of glass shards there which wasn't awesome for a kid's seat and I had to redo it but I also get they're not a detailing service.
