First time eating here, these are my first impressions: Tucked away and hidden among some business offices, this place is such a beautiful place to eat. Arrived at about 10:45am on a Saturday for brunch. The waitress was pleasant and she was being shadowed by 2 more. The manager welcomed us in while we were ordering and came to our table to check in while eating. To start, we ordered mimosas and lattes which were perfectly balanced in sweetness. Our mains were also very fresh and yummy. We had one complaint for each of our plates, the Turkish Eggs needs a more porous pita to soak up the poached egg yolks and the Grit Bowl needs a lighter hand on the smoke flavor on the tomatoes. I love that the menu is reflective of what is fresh/available from their farm partners, but I can see how the menu might be missing the mark of perfection from the changing ingredients. Upon arriving to the location I was a bit thrown off by the neighborhood but it ended up being such a cool spot. The interior was beautiful and worth the checking out in its self. Went with my SO and we got the bread appetizer to get started... which we then received after the food (we ordered the bread when we ordered drinks, ahead of even ordering the other food). The server was very friendly and went and checked on the order after asking, and it came out quickly after. The bread was mostly good, but parts of it the crust had off flavors. I believe it was due to the cast iron pot it was cooked it. For the meal we tried to Caesar salad, which was good but what we really enjoyed was the pizza. The pizza was phenomenal. Not sure the exact name but it had hot honey and pepperonis... so well balanced! I could've easily eaten another one. We finished the evening off with a nice dessert, the blood orange crème brûlée... it was delicious and a wonderful way to end the meal! I think the food and ambiance was overall great, but I do wish there was a little more acknowledgement of the fact our bread (appetizer) took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. I need more than 5 stars here! The restaurant was spotless, beautiful and had us ooh-ing and ah-ing upon our arrival. I couldn't get over the light fixtures that looked like white roses. The photo doesn't do them justice. Tiffany, our server, was fun, polite, and polished and attentive to our every need and wish. The bartender made me a very delicious cocktail and we all ate culinary delights until we could barely breathe. Everything was melt in your mouth delicious. The smoked pork chop was a family favorite but very hard to choose between so many hits. Braised Beef cheek with creamy yummy grits was also mouthwatering as were the prawns. I am giving this two stars in large part because we ordered trout that was clearly salmon. Just change your menu to salmon and stop trying to convince people that you serve very pink trout. The order of service was also not great. Drinks came out after appetizers and then main course came out about 5 minutes later. It seemed chaotic. At first, the room looks beautiful, until you notice that all the plants are fake. Then it seems weird. Sort of like the fake trout. read more

Had been to Glasshouse previously for dinner on a business trip and really enjoyed the experience - service, food and ambiance was very inviting. Decided to bring clients for a business lunch. Another great experience. It is always difficult to find a restaurant that has decent vegan options. Glasshouse fulfilled that requirement. The cauliflower pizza was yummy and met the mark. Smashburger was delicious and so was the turkey sandwich and the salads were very good too. The topper was the pineapple upside down cake - to die for. All of the dishes are very comparably priced. Glasshouse will be one of my go-to restaurants in the RTP area for future business meals. read more

The soup and local greens salad were simply amazing. The bread as a starter is a must. We each tried different pastas. I got the crab linguine, it wasn't my favorite but still good. The short rib gnocchi was very flavorful. The portions are very generous. The dessert was mind blowing Good! I can't remember the name but it was a dark chocolate, mousse/gelato situation. The pros 1. Great ambience - what a beautiful place and location. 2. Good parking - plenty of parking and a good parking lot. The Cons 1. Service was unfriendly throughout right from the reservation to the actual dining experience. We got to the restaurant 5 minutes before our reservation time and were told they tried reaching out. Their patio is closed for the day, and they can't accommodate our party of 3. That is not a right start, considering if the customers didn't confirm the cancellation, they should have expected the customers to show up. When we ask for the earliest availability, they say, it will be an hours wait. The messages / call was sent 45 minutes prior to the reservation, and that gave no time to make other reservations in the area for a Sun brunch! After a lot of back and forth of trying to ask for different options, seats at the bar/clean up a patio table, and they agreed to set up a table for us. We thought this would be the end of the initial unpleasant experience and the start of the good dining experience. The hostess allocated to our table had a horrible attitude. She didn't offer recommendations or any insight about the place or popular items. We ordered 3 mimosas, she dint recommend that we can get the pitcher and share. There are multiple juices you can get your mimosa with, this isn't mentioned on the menu (our hostess asked us which juice we wanted it with). She rushed to our table, took our order, and then didn't show up for 15 minutes with our drinks. Agreed, it may have been a busy kitchen, but getting some estimates about how long the order will take would have been good. We ordered the sourdoughnuts as the appetizer, and she said, "I will bring them right out." There is no news for the next 20 minutes. Meanwhile, she missed bringing out the coffee. Brings the coffee but forgets to bring a stirrer, we ask for the stirrer, and she brings out a long cocktail stirrer, for coffee and says out loud, "You are VERY welcome!" Lol. And each time a request was made, it was as if she was doing us a huge favor. 2. The food overall - the sourdoughnuts were dense and very cinnamon heavy. Our table ordered shakshuka, it was brought out with overcooked eggs. The curry cauliflower pizza I ordered was extremely dry. I learned the salumi pizza was good. 3. The prices - the prices are really high for the quality of the food served. I would not go here again unless I learn about changes the management has taken to improve the experience for their customers. read more

Absolutely perfect food and ambiance. I was there for business but I think it would be a great date place and I might go back with my wife. A wonderful room with a midcentury modern skyscraper vibe. It was too cold to sit on the outdoor patio. That looked nice but it's a lot more casual than the inside, so if you want a classier date, sit inside. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. I had the best fish I have ever had--it was a whole fish, served with the head and tail and everything. It was referred to as "a bluefish with a yellow tail" which I hadn't heard of, but regardless, it was excellent. Overall, it was a good experience. Our service was great (thanks, Ashley!), the cocktails were really nice, and the ambiance and the setting can't be beat. So, it's a memorable place with a cool but not too snooty vibe (from 5:30-7:00pm on a Saturday night). Contrary to other reviews, this is a place where you can bring a well behaved tween kid or a baby to hang out on your lap, and you can wear nice casual attire (jeans totally fine), and it's not too loud for a conversation. The food was so-so. We tried a small plate (burata) which was interesting and pretty tasty. We also tried the fried fish for two which was decent but the flavor of the fish was underwhelming while the flavor of the sauce was overwhelming (pretty spicy and tangy). The jasmine rice surprisingly held that dish together. We also got the farro verde which was well seasoned but didn't have much kale at all and some of the farro grains were hard (either not cooked all the way or dried from sitting out). We tried the blood orange creme brulee and the pistachio ice cream both of which were pretty good with solid flavor (maybe they should go a little lighter on the creme brulee crust next time). So, the food wasn't a good ROI for the cost, but the cocktails, service, and the ambiance were superb. We'd be back for the cocktails and ambiance for sure. read more

We came here on a Sunday Brunch for my husband's birthday. We were all so excited because we heard great things about it and we know its location and interior were unique! The restaurant is definitely beautiful... much of the walls were cathedral ceiling glasses. The hanging greeneries were beautifully displayed and the vibe is just amazing. The staff were attentive and very professional. However, everything stops there, unfortunately! We had sourdoughnut... it's ok. The chicken biscuit was huge and presented in an oddly way. The chef used the dark meat not the white breast meat that normally would come with chicken biscuit. My husband had shakshuka verde with supposed poached eggs, but came with essentially hardboiled eggs... He was not too happy. I had the benedict salmon and I know I had made better dish than this. The smoked salmon was overcooked and the eggs were ... guess again... hardboiled, and the potatoes were not seasoned. We came not just for the ambiance. We came mostly to enjoy the food. Overall, I do NOT recommend Sunday Brunch at the Glasshouse. We paid too much for a meal that was not nearly worth the price! Please go somewhere else. read more

Tonight a friend and I tried this restaurant. We opted for the Triangle Restaurant Week Menu. Service was not up to par and when our entrees came we sent them back as they were cold. We were given an additional appetizer and drinks to placate us. We weren't there for free anything, just to have a nice dinner. I don't think I could recommend Glasshouse Kitchen.
