HORRIBLE....Run while you can!!! Ordered shower doors. Paid extra for special coating on glass. Waited extra time because they ordered the wrong glass and hardware. They took my money, provided glass without the coating that was paid for (which was very costly, if you look into shower guard, you will see). Damaged my new wall and new tile during installation, along with leaving a coat of dust everywhere. New glass doors were hung improperly, causing leaking. They did return to rehang the doors, no more leaks, but refused to compensate for all other damage they caused. Owner refuses to take calls or return calls. Hides behind his poor receptionist, to do his dirty work. Very POOR customer service and management skills. Save yourself the stress and aggravation and go anywhere EXCEPT GLASSLAND. read more

This is warning for anyone that is thinking about doing business with Glassland. Don't. Terrible company. They seemed fine for original estimate...but didn't deliver as promised. When they finally showed up to do the install they had NO idea how to actually do the work. The first install was so bad they came back one week later to repair. all they did was pour tons of putty on the problem. DO NOT... I repeat, DO NOT do business with Glassland! Extremely unprofessional and shady. We placed a window and door order for our commercial property. We were told installation would take place in 2-3 weeks, 7 weeks later the windows still weren't in and were holding up that phase of our construction. We had to reach out to them every day to follow up on the order. They NEVER called us to update us and all they could say is "I don't know, it's our supplier, not our fault". Needless to say we had to go with another company for the windows (which were ordered and installed within days!) and now Glassland is holding our entire deposit ($11,000) and our materials and refusing to install the remainder of our order unless we pay the balance ($2,800). We are not paying the balance because our deposit MORE than covers our order by more than $4,000. We were even willing to forgo the refund for the windows that were not installed and call it a wash but they WILL NOT install anything unless we pay for installation (which as the contract states is included in the pricing). Poor business, horrible customer service, terrible human being! DO NOT USE THEM! I was warned and did not listen. read more

They installed two glass shower doors that don't close and refuse to come to fix. Every time you speak with them you get the runaround and they pretend to not know what is happening. Yes I agree, stay FAR away from Glassland. Not only did he overcharge for the glass coating I didn't want or order, but the door was not installed properly and leaked. I had to hire another company to come and fix his work, as they wouldnt come back to honor their warranty. Chris is a extremely nasty individual to deal with is anything goes wrong, but oh how nice he can be when is taking your money (emphasis on taking your money). Your phone calls will never get answered. This company really does not do quality work, and forget if there is one iota of an issue.. You are SOL and left on your own. Should you not take this warning and use Glassland (not a smart thing) but trust me and ask for THE WARRANTY IN WRITING I should have read other views that said to stay away. President of the company, Chris Pirato, seemed knowledgeable at the estimate. Sent incompetent workers who 1. One man the first time, apparently someone called in sick, did one window, didn't put the clips on the insert so it fell out of the window when we opened it, said he needed another helper to complete the other windows and left. 2. Two very simple looking men installed one window, glued the insert in, so now we can never take the inserts out to clean the window, said they needed a scaffold and a third man to complete the job and left. 3. Heather made us another appointment (all with my husband taking vacation days to be home), assured me that they had three men and a scaffold and would be here in 1.5 hours. Ten minutes later she called to cancel because someone called in sick. I guess they don't want to work on Fridays. We have given them $600 and only had 2 small windows put in after 4 appointments. Chris will not speak to us; I guess he's living up to his name"Pirate". read more

Terrible company to deal with . Owner Chris came in to give estimate. Seemed like a nice guy. Turns out he is a coward. Have had nothing but problems since the install. Took our money and ran. They drilled holes to install a shelf and put the screws right through my closet wall and left them like that. Took 3 weeks and about 6 phone calls to get them to come back and remove the screws. They left the holes in the wall for us to repair. The strip on the bottom of the door ripped within the first month. Again, several weeks to come back and now the shower door does not open or close correctly and I cant get them back to fix it. Chris answered the phone one day when I called, asked who was speaking, put me on hold and never came back on the line. The person that answers the phone is clueless and rude. I would not recommend using this company at all. I will be filing a small claims suit against them. read more

Reasonable price, easy to deal with. Girl in office was always there to talk to. I had tricky times to work around and they were all good with it. My 80 year old mother paid to have a glass door installed in her bathroom a year and a half ago. She paid $1600- the installation was awful from the beginning. The shower always leaked it is obvious they had no clue what they were doing! Out of the blue the glass panel which the glass door is connected to shattered in the middle of the night. It sounded like an explosion. We called the owner to come look at it....she is 80 a tiny petite woman that weighs less then 100 lbs! He came to see it with such arrogance and such a bad attitude. I just wanted him to look at what had happened and make any recommendations and perhaps work with her a little bit this shower door has been a problem since it was installed. Such poor workmanship.... he basically said she could have done it and he isn't doing anything. He said no one gives any body anything and there is absolutely nothing he can do. What a poor businessman. What a lousy attitude... and shame on someone in business to be so cold to a senior like that. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They do excellent work and are always prepared, on time and efficient. We would definitely recommend this company. I don't normally write reviews, but our experience was so bad with our bathroom glass enclosures that I felt compelled. And this aligns with other reviews.Chris came around to spec everything out. It all seems fine and he was very detailed. But when the glass arrived, the measurements were incorrect on one pane. Also, the toilet door was the wiring door. So that glass leant against our bedroom wall for 2 months. We continued to be patient, eventually spoke with Chris again. The supplier had screwed up. But he said he would call us twice a week to update. Nothing. Then a month ago, they turned up. Now with the wrong handles and still without a panel for another shower. But they installed and said they would put the handles on later that week. We have heard nothing. I ordered handles myself and installed them. Gave up on the other panel. This is a $14k job. It looks great now, but being busy is no excuse for horrific customer service. And if your suppliers problem becomes my problem, it's a problem.we all understand supply chain challenges right now. Just communicate. Common courtesy. Then you have a business with positive word of mouth and long term loyalty. read more

I had a glass shower door and a number of glass shelves installed. The shelves were coming out of the wall after some time and I contacted Glassland to evaluate the situation. They sent a workman and he took down the shelf in danger of falling and said the shelves were not installed properly and that they all needed to be re-installed with the proper screws. He said they would call me but after numerous phone calls to Glassland all i got was an invoice for $200 to re-install the shelves and they wanted a 50% deposit. Really? When I told them that their own workman said the shelves were not installed properly the secretary argued with me. Customer service is awful and they obviously do not stand by their work. Frauds and Thief's STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! So i originally met with the owner of glassland (chris). He came to give an estimate and he said $1250 verbally at my home. I asked if he can do better on price and he said the best he could do was $1200 if i gave him cash. I ordered the glass with him that day and he took my credit card as a "HOLD" which is written on the invoice which was emailed to me a few days later(as i was to pay him cash after the install). On july 29, Lou (chris's installer) came to my home around 3:45 to do the install, my contractor let him in the home as i instructed and i was on my. When i got there Lou informed me that all the wood was rotten and he could not install on the existing window frame as it was a danger and the glass could fall out. He continued to go on the ladder and made a hole in the frame to show me the rotting in the wood. He spoke to my contractor (in spanish) and asked him to change the wood. My contractor informed him that it was possible but not at that moment as he was finished for the day. Lou said he needed to reschedule the install on a day the contractor would be there so the could simultaneously do the job. Lou called the office, Chris at that time would not take my call and was giving me the run around. After much back and forth with the office Lou finally left without the install and I informed the office that i need to speak to Chris as he did the initial estimate and should have seen this issue with the frame and informed me about it earlier. Chris finally called me an hour later with a bad attitude. We got into an argument on the phone, he wouldn't admit his carelessness on the window frame. Finally it was decided that they would come back on August 5 to re-install the glass and my contractor had to do the window frame. Little did i know Chris went ahead and Charged the Credit card on July 29 without doing anything for $1466.44! (more than what the initial quote was). We did not receive the statement so did not find out till much later On august 5 Lou (installer) called me when he was on his way. I told him my contractor was waiting for him to put in the frame as soon as they removed the glass as only a glazier could remove such a big glass, and Lou said off course that's fine. Lou arrived and started to remove the first glass (larger of 2) and broke the glass all over my lawn. As this was happening Chris called Lou and told him that he was to leave the job unfinished because my contractor should have removed the glass and re-framed already. This was never the deal, the only thing discussed was that my contractor would re-frame! Chris continued to speak to my husband and said "if you don't give my guy $1400 cash right now he's leaving". My husband said that the deal was $1200 and i won't give him a dime till you install!! At this point Chris had already charged our card for $1466.44 (we did not know this yet) and tried to get more money out of my husband. Chris continued to curse and insult my husband on the phone and told Lou to leave the job without the glass. Lou told us he would be back in 15 min and left, never came back. I had to pay my contractor $200 +material to board up the damaged windows so no further damage would occur. I obviously hired another company to install the glass who did an amazing job within 5 days and now this despicable company is lying to my credit card company and saying that "he did the work"! read more

I don't typically write negative reviews but feel I must this time. Ordered an oversized mirrored closet door late Sept/October and told 6-8 weeks wait. Finally came and the header piece/door sides were visibly scratched. Another set was special ordered and again had to wait. New set came in and again, were visibly scratched. Installer mentioned I should purchase a product called "flitz" which he heard removes scratches on chrome. Said he's never used the product though. These doors were not cheap- why should I have to go purchase something in order to get scratches out of a brand new item. You wouldn't take a brand new car off a dealers lot if it was damaged so why should I take damaged merchandise? Installer took the closet doors and returned half hour later( without checking to see if I would still be home) stating he allegedly went to the manufacturer and miraculously they had another set of what I had ordered. Funny thing is, the same job # was written on header piece. It wasn't a new piece but the same one the Installer attempted to clean up! There was residue from some cream he attempted to use to lessen the scratches. Installer kept insisting it wasn't the same piece. I do not appreciate being lied to. For that kind of money on a special order, it should be perfect! read more

Beware--very poor customer service. After a worker broke a "unique balance" in one of the windows while installing a repaired window, he said he'd return it to the shop to order a new one. After months of phone calls to check on status of broken piece, with no responses, I resorted to going in person. The business is hidden behind a gas station, and was initially difficult to locate. The exterior is in no way professional. The owner initially refused to see me in order to eat his lunch, after the secretaries said he'd be there in two minutes. When they told him about me, he refused to come out. When I spoke loud enough for him to hear me, he emerged. He at first addressed the issue of no returned messages by admonishing the secretaries, but then said his business was only responsible for the glass, nothing else. When I said that the worker admitted to breaking it, the owner said he didn't believe his worker said that. Why, then, was said piece in their possession? He did not care one bit about the situation. He gave me back the broken piece and said he couldn't do anything about it. Why did it take months to find out about his policy? Apparently, his installers can get away with breaking anything other than the glass and will not be held responsible. read more

The back sliding door at my folks shattered the other day. I found Glassland through HomeAdvisor.com and they met with my father the next day. Said he could replace the door, but often in communities like where my parents live, the shattered glass is a result from landscaping and recommended that my parents speak with the homeowners association. Door is being replaced by the association and that is thanks to the gentleman who did not take advantage of my parents. Very honest and should the need arise that we need glass, we will definitely call them. read more

Can I give this Bozo ZERO stars? I have same opinion but from different perspective. I hired Chris to install bathroom accessories for me at a hotel I was furnishing. Shower rods, grab bars, towel bars, that sort of stuff. NOT brain surgery. As in the past, he demanded a deposit, progress payments, and to be paid when he was finished. He wasnt sure what to charge me, so I told him that at $ 10 bucks per item, and bout 1100 items, we could agree on $ 11K as the number. And also, that if there was any additional stuff that popped up, he would be compensated for it too. At Breakfast, I gave him a deposit of 4 Grand. I suggested he should show up on-site first day to get the crew moving along and he agreed that be a good idea. Well, as I feared, his crew didnt show up til after lunch, or should I say, after I received a dozen frantic calls of : Wheres your guys!!, When are you installing...!! ", that sorta fun stuff ! Also, he never showed up himself. To top it off, when they did finally show, the first accessories installed into the Mock-Up model had to ripped out, apparently they dont know how to read a level. After a few more slow and methodical days, and continuous whinning, Chris wants more money of course. Saying they were more than 50% completed, and he wouldnt return unless I gave him more money. OH, did I mention that he has almost 20 GRAND worth of my materials in his shop in Port Jeff ! So, figuring I hit the Point of No Return and had to get job finished, I gave him another $ 3500 towards the project, in hopes he at least keeps his word. Thats followed up now with excuses why he cant go back, stories of his installer taking a 2 week vacation, and to top it off, hes asking ME, for a written personal guarantee cause he thinks he wont get paid in full now for some reason ! So, after many nasty emails, texts, and verbal abuse by this nutjob, I was forced to not only secure the services of another installer, but, at my expense, rent a truck, pick up my remaining, and deliver them on my own now to the site. Did I get all my stuff back? Course not. Did he indeed work off that $ 7500 I gave him? Not even close. So, that said.... stay far far away from this scam artist !
