Ascent is the outlier. They were amazing. Their business popped up when I did a ChatGPT search to replace the windshield in my 2020 Toyota RAV4. My windshield is pretty high tech with camera inputs that have to be aligned perfectly so I needed a company with the equipment and skill to get that dialed in perfectly. Ascent was by far the most reasonable on price and had consistently great reviews. I figured that must mean I'd likely have to compromise on speed or quality. Not at all. They had me immediately scheduled for less than a week later and showed up at my door and had the job knocked out in no time. They also found a few drain tubes that were clogged under my cowl and blew those out for me free of charge. Tanner and Kyle are co-owners who are literally third generation windshield installers and have done this since they were young. Instead of continuing to crank out dozens of windshield replacements a day in a shop, they decided they wanted to be able to have more interactions with the customer and have the time to make sure they did the job right. Hearing more about their business I was only more sold on these guys. I drive a 4runner so they have plenty in stock, and use much higher quality glass than other places I've been to. The frame around my windshield was scratched by a previous installer (SL) before I bought the vehicle. It was about 3inches of missing paint with some rust in the center. Tom assured me he would remove the rust and prime over it (luckily my vehicle is black to match their primer) and that once they properly install the glass, the gasket should be covering the scratch anyway -- another L for the previous installers.
