There is no mention that they will not provide gift bags or are not "allowed" to provide gift bags.
    Heather D.

I have been a loyal customer since the very first factory and store opened in Madrona, where I live. I've bought at least 50 of their glassybabys for gifts over the years. I've always hesitated a little because the owner can be quite rude (the staff at the local coffee shop all avoid her!) but today was the final straw. I purchased 8 glassybabys at their 2nd sale online that I intended to use for gifts for my real estate clients. I was sitting across the store at the local restaurant when I did it. I walked across to the glassybaby store to ask for some gift bags. They refused to give me any. I asked to pay for them, they refused. I called their customer service and they refused. I asked for a refund since I don't want to give these as gifts without the gift bags. They refused to even give me a refund. There is no mention of no gift bags included with the second sale. I'm not surprised because the attitude of the owner and company has always been edgy but this is too much. Thanks a lot glassybaby for treating a loyal customer like this. And please note - you should add to your second sale website that there is no mention that you will not provide gift bags.

I have been a fan and purchaser (in person, Berkeley CA and SF CA) of these and have over 23 in my home...when the CA locations closed, i was sad. I loved the hot shop in Berkeley! I felt proud to support this company with my in person shopping experiences...I decided to purchase 3 more online...but knew that I could be taking quite the chance, since I'd always bought in person, and inspected each one carefully for defects. I do not care to buy them unless they are defect-free. That said, the 3 green ones (all different) were purchased, and fine. The latest one, Jane's Caramel, came and I could see a bubble when lit up. I did not think there would be a problem, just return, and exchange. Well. The exchange policy is such that even if "defective" the customer not only has paid for that item that is being returned, but is to pay return shipping on the defective item, and then shipping to get the new replacement! Ridiculous! Never have i been told this, and I will never pay to return a defective item! That is the cost of doing business online, Glassybaby.. you suck it up and make it right. Not at your customers expense. My last glassybaby, how sad. Perhaps you will change your policies, or perhaps your business model will drive you to close. Who knows?

Passing the obvious low grade second for $90 online. Fool me once! Buyer Beware. No returns and barely allow exchanges.

Just done! The online shopping experiences have been shakey at best. This last purchase and customer service reply was basically you get what you get and you don't get upset or exchange or refund. Almost $200 for a gift I don't feel worthy of the giving occasion. Buyer Beware.

I was looking for a wedding gift for my brother in law. Nice that they have parking in front of the store as parking is hard to find in downtown Bellevue. It's very simple, industrial space. A few shelves and a lot of candle holders. I see that they are all individually hand blown and have a beautiful story to tell but do they have to be SOOOOO expensive. $44 each, OMG. I think it's great that 10% is going to cancer research but gosh it's expensive. If I pick up a Glassybaby and another similar candle holder, how can I tell this is a Glassybaby? There isn't a signature design or look so my in laws know that I paid ALOT for their gift but I know they will love. The other thing is I took half an hour there trying to find similar size ones. They are different heights so it's not fun to give 4 different size holders. It's nice they have the tea candles so you can put them in the holders and light them in the store. When I lit them up, I kept looking for something magical to happen but nothing happened. They look like any candle holder. The staff there were both very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me look for the right size as well. Not my cup of tea. This was a gift as I would never spend this much money on myself.

Perfect for Mother's Day - 'mom' and 'hugs'

After dealing with Bellevue traffic and the road construction nightmare, walking into the glassybaby store felt like a win! Instantly peaceful, calm and full of delicious, beautiful glassybabys! Its like Heaven. All of the gals in the shop were very kind, welcomed us and made conversation, helped pick out some options but not pushy. I could have stayed for hours looking at the pretties and chatting. Hard to walk out without buying one of everything! If you're a glassybaby fan then you'll love it. If you aren't then you won't get it.

I've never heard of Glassybaby until my co-worker told me about it when we were trying to think of a retirement gift. These are great gifts. Every single one is hand made, with a unique design, and name to go along with it. I know people will just be like, "It's a candle holder, so what?"...but it's more than that. You take hours to think of the perfect descriptive word that would describe that person, look at each individual holder and observe the differences, and then pick based on that. So when you receive a Glassybaby, that person spent a long time choosing which color to give you. Staff is wonderful. Everyone in there that is looking for the perfect gift or addition to their home was willing to help us with which color to choose. Hope that someday someone will give me one!

I used to come down here often but now it takes 20 minutes to get there instead of five in the old days. The window display grabbed my attention because it had a lot of cute new jellycats. Overall, the store is super cute and the owner and the person that were working there were super nice and friendly. I find the other reviews hard to believe but maybe they've changed over the years. No "hello," no acknowledgment nothing. Almost immediately after, another white customer came in and she greeted her and began helping her right away. The difference in treatment was very noticeable. Throughout the time we were in the store, she kept looking at me in a strange and uncomfortable way. It felt like we were being judged rather than welcomed as paying customers. There was no effort to assist us, check on us, or make us feel comfortable in the space. Customer service should be equal and respectful to everyone who walks through the door. Instead, I left feeling ignored and singled out. I don't take accusations like this lightly, but the experience genuinely felt discriminatory. I hope management takes this seriously and evaluates how customers are being treated. No one should feel unwelcome in a business because of how they look.

They were EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNARKY. We were the only minority in the shop and they followed us the whole time making passive aggressive comments. Other customers (non-POC) were clearly looking around and they weren't constantly disrupted and being pressured to buy things. The funny part we were the only customer that bought something (maybe her harassment tactics work lol) since I thought the item was cute. When I opened my item I noticed that it was damaged. However, the employee there made us so uncomfortable that I'll count this as a loss with my defective item since I'm non-confrontational. Normally I wouldn't jump to conclusions about racial issues unless it feels HEAVILY targeted as such (nothing differentiate us from the other customers other than we were non-white, i.e our attire and mannerisms were no different than the other customers). Something was off about her and clearly whatever issues she internally had was projected on to us. Definitely won't be back, nor recommend. **Update** I went to google to post my review there also because my experience was that bad. But before I posted I saw other people's reviews and SHOCKER (not really) the majority of people that posted bad reviews on customer's experience and feeling very dismissed/mistreated were MINORITIES. There are whimsical small items priced as small as $40! I've been greeted and so has whoever's been with me whenever I've walked around in here, whether I had any intention to buy or not. Brands that I've seen sold here are Ralph Lauren Home, Marge Carson, Baker and Hickory White. Besides interior design services, there are art pieces, home decor items and even coffee table books for purchase. The last time I visited, I dragged a friend in with me as she was intimidated by what she saw staged in front. I knew once she got over herself and looked around she would be taken aback by the beauty of the pieces. We came across this lamp that she gasped at, and an employee saw her. He came over and offered to help us out. He got a light bulb as there wasn't one in it and placed it in the lamp then plugged it in. The base was made of rock and was a pure stunner, even more so with the light on. Just fabulous. My friend collects crystals and rocks, so she went off on a tangent asking questions, and the sales agent indulged her and didn't BS her when she asked things he didn't know, and he offered to find out. They have several full, decorated Christmas trees during the holidays that you can buy and have transported home so you don't have to do any decorating yourself. During Halloween, they have some really cool decorations. I saw this killer art deco, black villianesque desk that I just LOVED.

This confirms the issue: no one is taking ownership. I am still requesting supervisor escalation, guaranteed delivery with the correct crew, replacement of the damaged headboard, and meaningful compensation for the repeated failed deliveries, damaged item, lost time, and inconvenience Original review: 1/5 -- Extremely disappointing experience with Crate & Barrel. We purchased a bed and dresser for around $6,000 from Crate & Barrel on May 25, expecting a premium product and smooth delivery experience. The problems started in the store. We were encouraged to apply for a Crate & Barrel store card for financing and were told it would commonly support a much higher financing amount. We applied, received only a $1,000 limit, and were told to accept it and that the issue would be corrected later. It was not corrected, but the application still affected my credit score. Then came the delivery issues. Our delivery was scheduled for June 3. The team brought in part of the bed, opened the headboard, and found a large crack. They said it had to be returned. We asked them to at least bring in the dresser, but they said they only had two people and it was too heavy. Customer service did not take meaningful ownership. We explained that we had guests coming for a housewarming and needed the bedroom completed urgently, but we were told nothing could be done and had to wait another week. On June 10, the rescheduled delivery failed again. The driver called and said they did not have enough people to bring the furniture in, canceled the delivery, and then stopped answering calls. We paid premium pricing, lost multiple days waiting at home, received damaged furniture, and still do not have the furniture delivered. Our bedroom is unusable right before guests arrive. This has been the worst shopping and delivery experience we have had at this price level. Crate & Barrel needs to take responsibility, deliver with the correct crew, and provide real compensation for the failed deliveries, damaged item, and wasted time.

Very frustrating as we drove 2 hrs round trip both times we went out to west elm, first to get the swatches and 2nd was supposed to be our trip to finalize our fabric selection. We had thought our 2nd trip would be a quick stop but realized once we got there the swatch mishap. We had stopped in 10-15 min before closing as we thought it would just be a quick confirm fabric and order. One staff member was sympathetic to our situation of now having to pick a brand new fabric and another (who I think is one of the managers) was extremely pushy unsympathetic and you could tell really just wanted to get us out of the store. She brushed off the fabric swatch mistake made by her team almost as "well that's life" sort of dismissal was the feeling we got. There was no hospitality in the customer service provided. As a "solution" she gave us a different swatch that was a completely different color and stated that "it would feel almost the same it's just different color version" this swatch was a completely different fabric and texture and the color nowhere close to what we had verbalized + very clearly was just trying to get us to shut up and get out lol. We left feeling very dismissed and brushed off and also like we were stupid? I understand a customer service interaction doesn't need to be perfect and mistakes happen- but the response to the mistake from the manager was what really affirmed we will not be using west elm unless we absolutely have to. The price was decent for it too, Kombuchas are not super cheap even when buying them at the grocery store, so for a coffee shop in a mall-like area I was satisfied with the price for it. I drink Kombucha often. I love the Container Store, and I could spend hours in there. The selection was excellent. However, despite my enjoyable browsing, I just bought a load of white cardboard boxes that I had pre-ordered to make a maze/playhouse for my cat. I thought his maze/playhouse would look much nicer if I used white cardboard boxes that do not have labels all over them, rather than brown cardboard amazon boxes.
