I went here with a friend who is a collector. I have seen these little glass wonders at her place but I wasn't sure what all the rage was. Upon entering the store I do want to say that masks were required as well as social distancing. There was sanitizer available as well as masks provided. The ladies that work here are very sweet, helpful and most of all knowledgeable of the product. At first they really didn't look like much to me but they were very colorful and from what I understand each one is unique because they are handblown glass candle holders by artisans. USA made proudly. Each candle holder comes with a unique name and story behind it. They even have beautiful coffee table books show each candle holder, it's name in the story for it. I will say that the pricing on these little balls of glass seem to run up to $90 each for the limited edition ones. Of course they come out with limited edition ones on holidays such as Christmas. $3 from the sale of every glassybaby is donated to the glassybaby foundation to provide hope and healing to people, animals and the planet. They have given over $10.8M to organizations in need. Wow! What's better than giving! On this day they were running low on stock due to the Christmas rush and covid. My friend did find some beautiful pieces to add to her collection and we were on our way. They don't skimp on the packaging. It's absolutely high-quality and beautiful. I have been a loyal customer since the very first factory and store opened in Madrona, where I live. I've bought at least 50 of their glassybabys for gifts over the years. I've always hesitated a little because the owner can be quite rude (the staff at the local coffee shop all avoid her!) but today was the final straw. I purchased 8 glassybabys at their 2nd sale online that I intended to use for gifts for my real estate clients. I was sitting across the store at the local restaurant when I did it. I walked across to the glassybaby store to ask for some gift bags. They refused to give me any. I asked to pay for them, they refused. I called their customer service and they refused. I asked for a refund since I don't want to give these as gifts without the gift bags. They refused to even give me a refund. There is no mention of no gift bags included with the second sale. I'm not surprised because the attitude of the owner and company has always been edgy but this is too much. Thanks a lot glassybaby for treating a loyal customer like this. And please note - you should add to your second sale website that there is no mention that you will not provide gift bags. read more

I first discovered these beauties when my then significant other and I were vacationing in Seattle. The Edgewood Hotel had a nice selection of their candle holders in their gift shop at the time. Fast forward several years and that same significant other now husband and I were celebrating our 4th anniversary. I looked up what a 4th anniversary demands gift wise if one does gifts on such an occasion and discovered the traditional gift is flowers, vegetables, or linen, the modern day equivalent is. . . Wait for it, . . .appliances. Yuck! So I decided I'd go to Glass baby and get a bouquet. The two lovely ladies working that day helped by pulling all the candle holders that were graced with a floral name, and ta da!, a bouquet to remember was born. To make the occasion more special I added the pricey but beautiful acrylic stand which accommodates 5 holders. My husband, a hopeless romantic, loved it. I am originally from Seattle and have visited multiple other Glassybaby locations in Washington. This was my first visit to a store outside of the area. For those of you who do not know about Glassybabys, the candles are hand-blown in Seattle and a portion of the sale of each candle is donated to a charity. The regular candles are $50, and specialty colors or double overlays are $75. The store was clean, and well lit with ample natural light. The candles were organized by color family, and it was easy to find a color I was looking for. The sales associate was friendly and helpful in assisting me with my exchange. She went above and beyond and grabbed a black box to reduce the light around the candles I was deciding between so that I could see what they would look like in the dark. In compared to other locations, this location provided ample room to move around, and my husband sat on a comfy chair in the corner as I completed my shopping. If you're looking for a gift from the PNW, Glassybaby candles are a great gift idea for weddings, graduations, etc. read more

If you want something classic, PACNW and well made gift, this is the store for you. It's generally a votive glass candle holder store. The colors are neat, the glass seems durable. I have mine and is still in great shape. There's every color for every arrangement and motif you can think of. I personally like the ethereal/ exotic line. The semi transparency and smokiness of the glass mixed with duo chrome gives it some form of whimsicality. I'm glad to have them in LO. I don't have to look far in Seattle. Now, if they will have their "seconds" sale here too, that will be great. Word to the wise, they are not your typical Home Goods, Ross Cross Dress for Less, Ikea candle holders. They cost a pretty penny. You pretty much get what you pay for. read more

Glassy Baby is the best! They have such cute glassy babies and we got one for my mom! They have such a wide variety of glassy babies and there is one for everyone in there! It's a never ending supply of glassy babies!! My mom LOVES her glassy baby! All of her friends had glassy babies and she always talked about glassy babies so we went in to give them a try and see if the glassy babies were worth the hype. Let me tell you, glassy babies are worth the hype!! She uses her glassy baby every morning when she wakes up and lights up the glassy baby every night before bed! The workers at glassy baby, Brooke and Emma were great!! They helped us find the right glassy baby for her and walked us through the way glassy babies are made and how much goes into them.
