My nails turned out nice.. I've been here 4 times now.. however, I gave 2 stars because they ALWAYS get to get you spend more money. I mean I get it, upsale, upsale, upsale.. they run a business. But don't try to aggressively pressure me into getting my eyebrows or any other services done especially when I already got them done. They also charge for EVERYTHING. I've never gone to another nail shop where they charge you because your nails are lifting.. that's actually a product issue. They charge to cut your nails down, they also charge to shape them any other shape outside of square. Then as I'm checking out I leave a tip. She had the ABSOLUTE nerve to ask me could I give a dollar more!!! That's ridiculously absurd! Who the heck does that!! Especially when nothing special was done for the tip. I'm disappointed with this salon!! I moved to the area several months ago, this place is less than a mile from my home. I have come in a handful of times, never went anywhere else because I love convenience. My last experience here I got a gel pedicure with design and a French tip dip and somehow that total came out to $117!!!! I came in with coffee but I'm wishing I had a few margaritas for that ticket! Price was never discussed with me till the end of the service. I asked for a break down of the cost and this is what I was told. $35 for the pedicure one step up from basic, $20 for gel and $10 for design and $55 for my mani. I was upset but paid and even tipped my ladies $10 each! After researching and asking around, I was sure that I was overcharged. I called the salon back twice that week to get a price check on the mani and was told $45 and $50. Either way my tech overcharged me. This spa has permanently lost my service. My goal is to help anyone who reads this from being taken advantage of by the same ladies or salon. read more

This is probaly my favorite salon in Lewisville. I love this place so much for everything and especially the customer services. I went there twice for my mani and pedi and the results were great. The lady who did my nails was Angelina, she's really nice and her skill's just amazing. The rest of the people are wonderful too, they're funny and have great care for their customers. I've never had a worse mani/pedi in my life! The experience was ok and the staff was friendly, but the nail polish and gel they use are very poor quality. My friend and I both had pedis that took hours to dry and we ended up ruining half of our toe nails because they were still gummy hours after leaving. My gel manicure was supposed to be a pale pink, but later that night they turned yellowish and started cracking. By day two the polish was starting to peel off my nails. I ended up taking off the polish completely because it looked horrible. So basically I wasted $85 (including tip) on a disastrous mani/pedi. read more

I called ahead to ask prices for a full set of acrylics. The lady who answered tells me oh it's $28. I thought "WOW! Great!" Drove over in the pouring rain and tell her I just called - she points to the wall of nail polishes and tells me to pick a color. I'm a bit confused and say "oh no, I'm getting acrylic" she gets up and walks over to the bin of dip nail samples and says "$28 is for the acrylic with nail polish over. If you want powder it's $45" One - I'm not even sure people get nail polish over their acrylics and have them last long. Two - when I called to ask prices she should have explained and given me BOTH options. Needless to say I turned around and left. Came to apple nails who charges $34 for powder. read more

Pre C-19 i had been going here for years. Lynn was my tech and did aN EXCELLENT job on my nails. To my surprise when I visited today I was informed by someone new named Mike that Lynn moved to Houston. I was disappointed to say the least however Mike PROMISED me that Anna was on the same level as Lynn skill wise, I was skeptical but Mike assured me that Anna could provide the skill level that I was accustomed to with Lynn. Long story short I was disappointed, my nails are average at best. I advised Mike of this and to my dismay he told me that I would be able to receive a discount of my service IF I found another nail tech who could do better than Anna. WHAT?!?! As a paying customer it is now a competition to be compensated because I do not fully like my nails! Anyone who has been to this salon knows that the salon is normally packed. When I pulled up I said aloud "This is weird Lynn must not be here today"! I see now why they are not busy. The level of customer service I received is deplorable and I will not revisit. I did provide my feedback to Mike, my experience was unacceptable!! If you are looking for professional nails I would recommend OCSCAR NAILS IN PLANO! :) You will thank me later! read more

Calling and making an appointment is a waste of time they take walk-ins and give them an ' estimated time to be seated ' it's always an hour + they half ass your nails if the place is busy. they'll multitask repeatedly which leads to mishaps during your service. overall, don't recommend. read more

After being closed down for weeks due to the covid I expected a lot more than I saw at Glaze nails today. I scheduled an appointment thinking that the reason for the appt was to be able to have the 6' distancing and all that should be happening in the current times, not the case here. I did stay as I made an appt like I previously stated however during the time I was there many people walked in and out, they take walk ins and let them wait inside until a chair is available. No one washed their hands before services (customers). And not once did I see anything get sanitized after a customer was done. Again, I should have got up and left if I was that worried about it right? I know, however I was already there and getting my pedi. This is solely to share my opinion and maybe the owners will be more cautious, because of these places not following the guidelines it's possible that everything could get shut down again. The staff are super friendly and nice I think they just aren't aware of all the guidelines they should be following. So I'm honestly not one to review much if I have a bad experience just because I know things happen and not everyone can have a bad experience.. this is a long review due to me having gone in a few times, being honest with each of my experiences. I'm new to the area and have been looking for a place I could commit to going to for my eyebrows and nails. I used to go to European Wax center for my waxing services and because of certain circumstances couldn't afford it right now.. So I decided to give this place a try. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails and eyebrows. The first time I came into this salon I had A GREAT experience. Lihn who I think may be a manager or owner did my eyebrows and made them look great! She had noticed that I did NexGen and told me if I felt they did good services on my eyebrows if I'd please come back so they could do my nails. I told her I'd definitely be back and actually wrote a good review on here because she was so nice and did a great job. The second time I came in for my eyebrows, was about 2 1/2 weeks later and there was another lady who did them that day. I didn't catch her name but she took her time and made sure she did a good job. I was so pleased and happy because I felt that I finally found a place RIGHT DOWN THE STREET that I could go to and feel confident that they would do a great job. I had even recommended a few friends from work to go there as well. This last time I went I was greated by Lihn and told to go to the back room where the girl doing the waxing would be. I figured I'd have the same girl as the last time but it was a completely different lady. She was on the phone the whole time she was doing my eyebrows, which didn't bother me too much but I felt was a little rude. First, I told her I did NOT want them thin. Usually places brush your eyebrows to see the shape before even waxing- she DID NOT. She started waxing right away! I thought okay, maybe she has a different way of doing things. She started plucking away did not even wipe off any of the hairs she had plucked off. She ended up giving me she mirror and I just starred at it..I told her they were a little too thin but there was nothing else I could do about it at that point.. I walked to the register where Lihn was working close to and she just kind of starred at me and said something to the lady. The lady acted as if she didn't care and I could tell Lihn saw all that extra plucked off hair on my face along with my eyebrows.. Not even a week later THANK-GOODNESS they're growing back but it is faster than they usually do. My eyebrows look HORRIBLE. And all I want to do now is allow myself to look a little rough there until a lot of it grows back, where I can just go somewhere else to have them fixed and done. They're a complete line almost. No arch. Straight and thin pretty much. I typically have thicker eyebrows with some arch and that's how I've kept them for years.. they already are growing back in places that I want to pluck and clean up myself.. but I'm just allowing them to grow more out and possibly fix it by doing that and going somewhere else. I would have left 2 stars but I felt it wouldn't be fair because my first two experiences were actually really good. But this last one was just bad.. I'm sad to say as close as it is to my home, I won't be going back for any services.. read more

Randomly walked into Glaze, desperately needing a fill after a hard week of moving. Boy I got lucky on my first try! Lovely atmosphere, the girls did a wonderful job on my nails, and my eyebrows were waxed, tweezed and trimmed to perfection. I am very picky about my brows, and I don't think they've ever looked this good. I loved the fact that they used a portable wax station, and did the waxing while my nails were being done. by the time the polish was dry, the redness on my face had faded and I left not looking like a lobster. More than reasonable prices, a quick turn-time and fabulous service. I will definitely be back! read more

I took my 9 year old daughter and girlfriend there a couple of weeks ago to get their nails done.. My daughter showed the girl a picture of exactly how she wanted her nails done. I was waiting for them, when I looked at my daughter she seemed unhappy. I walked over there and she told me that is not what she wanted. Her nails were nothing like they were in the picuture we showed her. My girlfriend picked out 2 different colors because she wanted the tips different and gave them to the guy doing her nails and explained what she wanted done. The man only did the tips and didn't do the 2 colors just 1 color. She told the man she wanted both colors and he started to argue with her and than speak in a foreign language to Lynn. I told Lynn they were both unhappy with the work. She didn't seem to care. I paid and left (which I shouldn't have done since the service was not provided as wanted). After I drove off my daughter and girlfriend were both unhappy and let me know about it. So I called them and talked to Lynn and she said she was too busy too fix my daughter's nails to come back another time. And that my girlfriend never told him she wanted 2 different colors. I asked her why would she give him 2 different nail polish bottles if she only wanted one color done? And that my girlfriend tried to explain to the man that she wanted 2 after she realized that he was only doing 1 color. She didn't seem to care. While I was waiting there people were coming in and they were prety busy and she kept telling people it would only be 15 minutes to get to them. It was longer than 15 minutes. It seemed like she wanted to get their $$$. The whole time they were not talking in English and it seemed as if they were talking about the different customers. They have gone to LUSH right off of 635 & MacArthur in Irving and absolutely love that place. The decor & atmosphere were 100% better. read more

I've been going to Glaze since they opened around ten or so years ago. The service when they first opened was impeccable but over the years, as the business has grown, it has gone down a bit. Lynn used to know me by name but I stopped going for a few years when I had my kids (no money!) and she remembered my face but not my name when I went back, so that is a plus. I agree with other posters that she stretches herself too thin, hopping between clients and always telling anyone that comes in that it will only be 15 minutes. I arrived at 9am today (Saturday) and there was one person there getting a pedicure. By the time I sat down for my pedicure there were 2 or 3 other customers and only 2 girls working. Slowly other employees arrived but they did not help the multiple other people that had showed up by then. A woman waited for half an hour for her eyebrows to be waxed. I love the actual service itself - Lynn is the only person I allow to wax my eyebrows (I have a scar and they have to be done a certain way), and I've never had a bad set, manicure, or pedicure. The employees and their actions are on par with most other nail salons, but the actual service they provide is the best you can get. read more

GREAT SALON!! I came from out of town and was recommended here by the hotel receptionist. Great recommendation! I had a pedicure done with my mom and they took their time with both of us. We never once felt rushed. We had come for a wedding and I told other guests about this salon and they accommodated them as well, even stayed past their closing time to see the other guests! Really friendly, average prices, great customer service and best of all they took their time with your feet... what more can you ask =) read more

I love this place, they are all so welcoming, as soon as you get there they greet you and tell you and estimated wait. I usually like going early when not to busy, but I have also gone on sat afternoons when they are extremely busy. As a customer you have to understand that they are busy and there is a wait time. usually around 15-30 min during busy times. but other than that they do an excellent job at what they do. i love the pedicures and dip full set. read more

I've been going here for a little over a year and I am usually pleased except for the way they try to upsell you on things. In the past I've been told I need my eyebrows done because "they look really bad". Today was THE WORST experience I've ever had at a nail salon in over 20 years. A couple weeks ago I hit my acrylic on something and it actually ripped my real nail off instead of just breaking which was one of the most painful things I've ever had happen. I have to have nails for work so I decided to go back and get the other 9 nails filed. I went in today to ask for a fill and so I get assigned my technician Tina who decided to just cut my nails and soak them off. While she went to the back to eat. Finally I tell her I don't understand what's going on because I only asked for a fill. Then she tells me it was Angelina fault because she said I wanted a full set. Then she proceeded to speak to Angelina in their own language. So she puts my nails on AND AT ONE POINT STARTED TO FILE MY FINGER WITH THE MISSING NAIL. I jumped back and had to tell her that's only skin on my finger not an actual nail. Then I went to pay. Now I'm getting charged for a full set and a soak off. I tell her that's not what I asked for and shouldn't have to pay that amount so then she proceeds to lie and tell me she asked me if I wanted a full set and I said yes. All of a sudden the story changed and she seemed to get irritated. So I paid the amount with no tip (mind you I always tip). Was it really that important to lose a customer over $15? I'm already walking around with only 9 nails looking like a moron. I was told that acrylic should never rip your actual nail off unless they are using the cheap stuff which has been made illegal. The are very unprofessional and rude!! Every time I went it's always some shit with them. I never spend under a 100 dollars in there which is fine my issues come in where they don't do what I ask for and I'm spending my money!! One time I asked for color to be changed she started to give me a fill in and I was not paying attention cause when I first started going to them it was no issues!! I realized it and told her I still had to pay for a fill in. Today I went I never get skinny ass nails I told the Mike it was to narrow he said I'll fix well he didn't so I said I didn't like it made him take off he said it will be 50 I said ok cool. So then I ask was they gonna put me another set on or no e said my wife will do it. I said ok wife out on new set.. I kept telling her ass that was not the color I wanted she insisted on it was the color ok cool. We got to the next hand I said again actually multiple of times then I asked her just to ask her husband again she insisted on that was the color I looked over and asked her well what color is that she said white ( exactly) cause that was the color I wanted then she says well we closing now but they still want my money!! Ok cool, now it's time for me to pay and I asked how much? They said 105 so they both charged me to do my nails when they both fucked up!! Never again though!!
