I've been a loyal customer of Divine Nails & Spa for years, which makes this review especially…read moredisappointing to write. I came in for an acrylic fill and pedicure and showed a reference photo of the cat eye nails I wanted. The owner immediately told me they couldn't do cat eye, so I agreed to switch to chrome instead. When the chrome was applied, it wasn't visible at all. I mentioned that I didn't want to pay extra for chrome since there was no noticeable effect. At that point, my nail technician told me they actually could do cat eye and brought over another technician to do it. Unfortunately, the finished nails looked nothing like the inspiration photo, but I accepted that and was ready to move on. The problem came at checkout. I was charged an additional fee for both gel and cat eye. I politely asked the owner to remove the cat eye charge because of the confusion and because the final result wasn't what I requested. Rather than taking any accountability for the miscommunication, he argued with me, talked over me, and insisted I pay the full amount. I've overlooked imperfect nails in the past because everyone makes mistakes. What I can't overlook is poor customer service and refusing to take responsibility for a situation the owner created. After years of being a loyal customer, I expected much better. Unfortunately, because of how I was treated--not because of the nails--I won't be returning.

I believe I got the deluxe service for $68 with gel polish and it was wonderful. My tech took her time, everything precise, wasn't a rushed service, my toe nails don't hurt on the sides anymore, and looks clean would highly recommend!

Im annoyed the cuticles don't come with a basic manicure but makes sense because I know with their pedicures.....callus removal does not come with a basic pedicure (which is insane). I ask how much this is going to be...since she didn't give me the book and the lady said $95 FOR JUST THE NAILS!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm heated and SO confused!!!!!! $25 for manicure + $20 for gel + $10 for cuticles + $20 for "cat eyes" color ... that STILL doesn't equal $95. So I said no don't do cat eyes I'll do a regular gel color. She says no no no...continues with the prepping of the nails. Fine - do 1 nail cat eyes and if I don't like it, then I'm choosing a diff color. She does 1 nail. I don't like it. I tell her VERY CLEARLY and she says nooo you need 2 coats to see the right color. SHE CONTINUES. When it's all said and done she asks if I like it...and I wasn't enthusiastic. Do you know what she said?!?! "You chose it, not me". . I got badgered and pressured and scammed. I went to pay. I'm complaining to the lady (owner?) in front.... Turns out the GelX is $65 alone which I had no idea and would have NEVERRRRRRRRR in life agreed. Especially when I said over and over and over I didn't want to get my nails done in the first place. $65 GelX + $10 cuticle cut (which a manicure should come with GelX...period)..plus $20 extra for a cateye. = $95 for nails alone... plus the pedicure. I ended up spending $138. Just ridiculous! and I'm mad at myself for getting got and pressured. I've learned a lesson that "No" over and over is just not good enough at Epic Nail Bar Castle Hills and to be more stern. Shoot yell at them if I need to. Unfortunately nail wise I will never be back and do not recommend. They are not clear. Not upfront. And the lady doing my nails was rude. And my finger is bleeding.

She cut one too short and proceeded to search the black towel for a piece of my nail too glues it back with super glue. I have never ever seen this done. I told her that I needed my nails to be on the thicket side or else they chip and break. I asked for another coat and she said it would be fine. Thick enough. Not even a week later and one is chipped. And now 2 days later most are broken. The owner said my nails were thin and cracked. My nails are not cracked and if they are too thin this salon made them that way. I have not had nails since last year. I am all for people having fun and enjoy their work environment. However there were 7-8 technicians waiting for customers. They were extremely loud,'laughing squealing and talking. incredibly loud. As I said I am all for having a good time but, this is a nail salon not a party. I don't want to be that person but I also want to relax. I did speak with the owner who did not seem bothered nor cared. Then her computer and payment method had issues so I had to stand there for at least 5 minutes. I have been getting my mail done for close to 30 years. I know what the process is. All in all awful. I have had my nails done. For 30 years and I have NEVER had someone search for a piece of my nail to glue it back. That would be called a tip.

My usual nail technician, Nancy, who is amazing, was on vacation, so I was assigned to someone else. It was the worst nail experience I've ever had. Every single nail is a different shade of red because she kept dipping random nails into different powders. She got super glue all over my fingers, and even her gloves were sticking to my skin and nails from the mess. At one point, she actually dozed off and burned me with the drill bit. I immediately said, "Oh my gosh, you just fell asleep!" I repeatedly asked--at least five or six times--to have someone else finish my nails, but my requests were ignored. Instead of making things right, I was forced to sit there for nearly two hours while my nails got worse. I walked out crying on my birthday. The quality of the work was awful, but what made it even worse was the complete lack of customer service. When a customer is clearly unhappy and asking for another technician, the salon should listen instead of refusing. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on how I was treated.
