Truly disappointed in my first experience. My friend is a loyal client. Our services were for 5:30 pm Friday. The first mistake was that she didn't get her requested technician. My services received were the jubilee pedicure and a nexgen manicure. If it weren't for the decent pedicure experience my rating would be a 1. Save your hard earn money and go to another salon. My nexgen is Terrible. If the manicurist was not comfortable with glitter powder she should have asked a more experienced tech to do it. She continually shared that the glitter would be lumpy and was difficult to do. The work below took the tech 1.5 hours. By 7 pm i was ready to leave. I'm not likely to return. read more

I have had the same excellent nail tech for several years and she recently decided to make a move to the salon and so I followed her to Glee Nails. 3 weeks ago, I had my very first appointment there, and I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment, and I had to wait 45 minutes before being seen (bear in mind, I called a week earlier and made an appointment -I didn't just walk in). At the same appointment, I had a pedicure. I chose a particular pedicure that offered a 40-minute duration. Instead of 40 minutes, it turned out to be only 30 minutes. I don't normally put any polish on my toes, and instead of giving me a longer massage to fulfil the 40-minute duration, they just simply cut the whole pedicure short by 10 minutes. So, today I had an appointment at 6:30. 10 minutes before my appointment was supposed to start , the nail tech texted me that I couldn't be seen until 7. The problem was that I was already en route, and was at the salon. They said that the 3:30 appointment was extremely late causing everyone else to be late. So why did they not tell me this information at that time??? So I asked the girl at the front desk if there was anybody else they could see me right away and she fluttered off and never came back. So I left and the sad thing is that nobody called me to find out what happened. It is pretty obvious that my business means absolutely nothing to them. I really only like going to places that appreciate my business. Later on the nail tech told me that it is not her fault, and that they are not booking people correctly. In any case, I find this whole thing to be extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I guess my $100 every 2 weeks isn't green enough! read more

I have been searching for a nail place since I've recently moved to this area. When i walked in, I was truly amazed! I love their professionalism, prices, quick service and the vibe of the entire salon. I was seen immediately to get my gel color changed. I was very happy with everything and upon leaving, told myself "THIS is where i will go from now on". However not even five hours after getting my nails done, there's a giant chunk of color missing from my thumb nail, and the second layer peeled off on another nail. Today (two days later) i noticed that another nail's color is chipping off. I feel like this is just regular nail polish on my nails. I typically keep my gel nails on for a few weeks with hardly any peeling or chipping, and even if it does it's because I'm past due on a polish change. read more

Decided to try Glee at a friend's recommendation and am very glad I did! I've gone to the same salon for years and while they do a good job, I felt the service had become sub-par. My service at Glee was anything but sub-par and the experience was great. Courtney did a wonderful job on my nails and Amanda knocked my pedi out of the park. That coupled with being greeted the moment I walked in the door and two people who appeared to be managers checking in on me during my service made for a great customer service experience. This place is terrible. I went on two different occasions because I was determined to like them (it's the closest nail salon to my house), but I can't. They are brutal with your cuticles - mine still hurt. I got the cloud 9 pedicure (comes with hot stone massage) both times, and both times they just slid the stones around on my legs and feet. This place feels very hurried - my pedi was done in 1 hr flat. It wouldn't be as bad if that hour was spent focusing on doing a damn good pedi, but she was chatting away in Vietnamese, looking around the salon, and sliding stones. I was looking forward to getting a pedicure. My favorite part is always the foot massage. They give you a list of pedicure options and list out the details. Their regular pedicure is $25. They also have one for $35 that includes a 10 min massage. Just to make sure I got the massage I decided to do the one for $42 that is supposed to include a 15 min massage....Well, I was very disappointed with the massage! It ended up being just over 5 min. yet I paid the $42. I should have just gone with the first option for $25. Won't be going back. read more

Tried this new nail salon after it opened up in my neighborhood. I called ahead on my way home from work to see if they were busy or could get me in. The woman who answered the phone said I should make an appointment, so I did. When I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, she told me to pick out my colors. I did, then proceeded to wait about 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time while they "got the chair ready." I hate when they tell you they can get you in when clearly that's not the case. 30 minutes later, I'm seated in my pedicure chair with a male technician working on my toes and a woman on my nails. I like my toenails short and usually cut them myself before going in, but this time I didn't. After he cut them, I asked him to cut them shorter, which to him apparently meant round off the corners. Once I realized what he'd done, there was nothing I could do. Any trained nail technician knows you don't round the corners on toenails because it causes them to become ingrown. The pedicure was fine, nothing special. The gel manicure was subpar - she cut me on one nail and had to get some ointment because it was bleeding. When I put my nails into the UV light machine, my nails burned. Either the nail polish was cheap or the machine was not working right because I have never had my nails get hot and feel like they're burning during a gel or shellac manicure. Not surprisingly, once my toenails grew out, I had ingrown toenails on both big toes. There's nothing special about this salon and I feel like their prices are high when compared with other salons. Given that their technicians clearly do not know what they're doing, I won't be back. read more

Not only did they cut me - not once but twice- they did a terrible gel painting job on my mothers toe nails and it was lumpy,gloppy, and uneven. This used to be my regular nail salon for months up until Annie left or was let go. I was a regular and always requested annie because she was so good! I always got the ombre and its 15 dollars extra and would tip her very well. Then I came in one week and they told me she was on vacation. instead of coming back I decided to stay and get my nails done by someone else. WOW I have never experienced being burned by the dermal(to take off the old nexgen) up until then. I was not happy. I asked for the ombre again and it seemed like she wasnt very comfortable with it. I also keep my natural nails long and for some reason that also seemed to bother her. I came back after my 2 weeks like usual and this time I brought my best friend that I had been bragging about Glee and about annie to. When we showed up and I asked for annie they told me she moved to Oklahoma. WHAT??!! just like that and annie had never told me about either her vacation or Oklahoma. so we got our nails done and I could not have been so disappointed. I was burned once again by the dermal and it was a different nail tech. She also wore gloves and repeatedly got the dremal stuck in her gloves. by the end of it her gloves were all torn up from how often they got stuck on them. I also was so shocked that she cut FIVE of my cuticles with the dremal. it was so uncomfortable I couldnt even watch her do my nails. For the first time I didnt get the ombre either and I was so embarrassed by how bad my nails looked. she left them uneven and chunky. I have found a new salon where all the nail techs actually know how to do the ombre and like working with longer nails and I have not been burned or cut at. read more
