I'm have been going to Dr. Fung since I was 18, I am now 35. My very first visit he discovered that I still had cement left on my front teeth from when I had my braces off years prior! (I thought my teeth were damaged for two years) underneath that cement were two perfect front teeth! I have been amazed by his work since day 1! I have never been a dentist fan. I grew up in fear of dentistry, although I am always one to go. I am absolutely sold on Dr. Glen Fung DDS and I wholeheartedly recommend this group of professionals. Dr. Fung is a calm presence and an expert who insists on the latest and greatest of cutting edge high performance new equipment to assist him to provide his best work for all his patients. I can really appreciate that. I've never seen a doctor own their own Ultrasound machine. He is young-ish, but to me that's great! It means he will remain cutting edge, which is a far cry from the torture I remember as a kid. I have dim memories of jackhammer equipment and axes. Dr. Fung is a very cool, calm cookie who is kind to his staff and to his patients. I like most of his staff as well. I love so many of them and I regard them as my favorites! Pretty easy parking and a tidy neat office. I really dig all the vintage Conejo Valley photographs all around his office. I find them fascinating, but mostly distracting which is a good thing. Dr. Fung came to town after I already had an established relationship with another dentist. But when our insurance provider changed and I needed someone in-network for a crown, I decided to give him a try. The building is not impressive from the street, but the location is awesome (right off the 101 at Wendy next to a coffee shop) and the front door is like a portal to a high-end spa -- the decor is serene and thoughtful. There was a single-serve coffee maker and a bowl of individually wrapped chocolate dipped biscotti for the taking (yay, snacks!). All the ladies at the front desk were friendly and efficient. They verified my insurance and coverages on the spot so there wouldn't be any surprise bills after the fact. The dental chairs even were covered in pillowy memory foam cushions to make them ultra-relaxing. Dr. Fung himself is a very soft-spoken guy with some sort voodoo-like calming aura, kind eyes and a huge smile (who would imagine he plays hockey?!). He took the time to draw (by hand) a sketch of what I needed done (since I had no clue what a crown involved), and even prescribed a sedative because of my dental anxiety. Dr. Fung has some neat equipment, too. He used a fiber optic camera on the end of a little handle to take pictures of all the surfaces of my teeth. It's digital, of course, so the images immediately popped up on the screen at my chair. That was amazing! (It turns out I'm a pretty bad teeth-grinder, and we could see all the worn spots, cracks and chips via the fiber cam. Why did my previous dentist never notice/mention this?!) Anyway, the crown appointment went off without a hitch. I was in and out (of consciousness, thanks to the meds, ha!), though if I had to do it again, I may not even need them because the doc and the shop are so low stress (no stark white or medicinal smell). Another nice thing about this office is that you can do it all here, from routine cleanings to cosmetic procedures. So, if you're looking for a new dentist, Dr. Fung will not disappoint. read more

Today I went to See Dr, Fong, in Newbury Park Ca. Julie his financial clerk was very rude and disrespectful to me and over charged me . Dr Fong gave me 3 crowns, Tooth #11, #14,and #15.. Charged me 4,152 total cost. Yep, had the audacity to charge me 2000.00 for Tooth #14 because tooth # 14 was an implant crown that cracked. He did nothing different than the other crown #15 next to it, BUT doubled the cost. AT First while pricing this implant crown, Julie said 3,900 which Dr Fong moaned when she said those numbers. I said" NO WAY Im not paying that much for a crown" !!! then she said 2,200, then I said make it 2000. the Dr said ok. Also Charged Crown #15--- 952.00, and 1200 for tooth 11. This added up to 4,152. Estimates for tooth # 11, and #15 were submitted to Delta Dental, but not for tooth 14. It took 10 days to get Julie to re submit tooth 14.. She kept saying to me "I already did". After about 10 days Delta Dental confirmed 100% they did not have estimate for tooth #14. So finally I drove over to the office and called Delta Dental and talked to Brian a Delta Dental supervisor and told him I couldn't get Julie to send them tooth 14 estimate. So Brian said let me talk to her and he told her to e-mail it in now to him and gave her his e-mail, She then and only then sent it via e-mail to Delta Dental. Dr Fong is an IN-Network provider for Delta Dental.. My Delta dental out of pocket should have been 1,989.00 ........ when I showed Dr, Fong the paper work from Delta Dental and asked for my refund of 2, 163, he refused for now, and made the excuse he was re submitting the forms back to delta because tooth 14 was the wrong code. ??? So he could not pay me back at this time. I called Delta Dental and told them that I felt abused and taken advantage of and ripped off , asked for their help ...This is my truth and my experience, I feel abused taken advantage of , and ripped off. read more

Well, there is no secret that I am a bit partial to this dentist but not for the reasons you might think. I have worked for Dr. Fung for close to 4 years but have been in the dental field for 33 years. In this time I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly! Before I allowed Dr. Fung to touch my mouth, I had to first hand see the quality of his work, the materials and advanced techniques he was using. Once I was convinced that I could trust the work and ethic he displayed with not only me, but with his patients, it was only then that I could feel comfortable referring my family to this office. I have some 30 family members that I have referred and currently are patients here. My 81 year old father will be the next to receive extensive implant and restorative treatment. That should say enough that I would trust Dr. Fung with my 81 year old father. I have recently undergone extensive treatment and ortho myself and had my two front crowns replaced...I wasn't going to allow just any hack to replace these! They look beautiful! I will be very sorry to leave Dr. Fung's office with my upcoming relocation. So you see, I have no skin in the game on this one. Dr. Fung is wonderful! I've always had straight teeth and never needed much dental work; however, seemingly overnight I found my 2 front teeth had shifted and overlapped. It wasn't a good look (lucky for me it happened during the pandemic). For reasons of my own, I didn't want my regular dentist to fix this, so I called Dr. Fung's office on a whim and scheduled a consultation and based on his recommendation, I opted for Invisalign. I visited his office once or twice a month over the course of 4 months and every single time, his staff was so friendly and they were very accommodating whenever I needed to re-schedule, which was more than once or twice and sometimes at the last minute. I just got my Invisalign off a week ago and at the same time had some additional work done (a filling and 3 bonds), most of which were unplanned. Dental Hygienist were great. I feel that some decisions that were made about my dental care were to the financial benefit of Dr. Fung and the practice. After moving and getting a second option from x rays, my new dentist (who was a very respected and had served the city for 30 plus years) commented that some of the expensive dental work was not necessary. Of course my new dentist could not say this for sure, however, I had a suspicion that I was being taken advantage of here. Dr. Fung is nice, but the front office is very deceptive. She slab on extra service charges that I never received. This is second time I had issue with my billing. Dr. Fung came into my life during a very stressful and tumultuous period. I needed a dentist; I had finally got dental insurance and after 10 years my teeth were in desperate need of attention. Due to extenuating circumstances, I needed an office within walking distance which left me with few choices. Dr. Fung seemed like the better option so I gave his office a call. I don't know how long it's been now but I'm grateful I made that call and set up that first appointment. He has employed the most wonderful staff, everyone is very genuinely nice and accommodating. I feel like I need to make two appointments every time - one to get dental work done and the other to chit - chat about what's new and exciting. Everyone there is really sweet, but more importantly they all know their shit. The most daunting dental procedures seem to be a walk in the park for Dr. Fung and his staff, as if Saint Apollonia herself was performing the work. Dr. Fung is also a tech wizard, employing the use of all the newest and coolest technologies. "X-rays? Here, I have a machine that takes digital x-rays and immediately displays the results. You want a picture of your teeth? I got you bro, check out my camera wand thing." It's awesome.
