After shopping for the right Alpine DDIN deck for my car, the hardest part was looking for the best car stereo installers. Being a Yelp user and reading all the reviews from other audio shops, Glendale Auto Sound was it and they had received the best reviews from their customers. G.A.S. is only 5 mins away from my house and very convenient. I got a quote immediately through here and Albert responded with a great deal for the install and how long it's going to take. Price and 4-5 hours wasn't too bad, but had to go a bit longer because, Albert called me that there was a problem. I gave him the "OK" and it was done! Albert and his team did a great job. I have an older Prius. A few months ago, the touch screen for the radio stopped working. It wasn't a big deal until I had to get a new iPhone because then I couldn't pair it to the radio (you need to touch the screen). Toyota quoted me an exorbitant price for both a refurbished radio or a brand new one. The owner of this shop is kind, honest, thorough, and reasonable. Went in to get my broken speaker looked at. He checked everything with my current sound system (amp, rear speakers, and components). The speakers I had were broken so he installed some amazing JBL 6.5 speakers. The sound is now literally 10 times better than before. He told me to come back if I experience any problems in the future. All this and he even lent me his car to drive home while my car was being worked on! And he was cheaper than what other shops quoted me! Highly recommended! Update 6/14/17 I had a cracking sound coming from my speaker. Came into the shop and they found a loose screw. Fixed it and I was on my way. I cannot say enough to recommend this shop to the utmost degree. If you are in the area, check it out. UPDATE **** 6/25/17 **** I had a guy come to my house to install a subwoofer in my car. I told him about the cracking sound and told him that Glendale Auto Sound said it was a loose screw. After the cracking sound came back from the "loose screw" that was "fixed", my new audio guy showed me that the speaker had blown out and he also showed me the crap job that GAS did. They did not seal the tweeter. It's really sad that I got got. I wish they had examined it more and really found that the speaker had blown and not claimed a loose screw was the culprit for the cracking sound. VERY DISHONEST. Very helpful and friendly. My car has aftermarket automatic locks installed (done elsewhere, didn't buy the car in LA), and when I lost my key fob, these guys were able to able to re-code the locks to a new key fob. It was a stressful situation for me, but these guys were helpful and clear about what needed to be done and got me going again quickly. They even threw in an alarm system for free! Later, when I replaced my car battery I got locked out of the radio, and took my car here. They were able to find the correct code for the stereo and had me all fixed up in five minutes, with no charge. read more

Friendly staff/owner(?). They solder 2 radio harness for me for a fair price on the same day!!! They didn't take too long, I would say 30min to an hour. Pretty happy with the job they did. I cant grade them on their installation but judging on the soldering done on my harnesses, they should be good. Only issue would be the parking, it's a small parking space. But shouldn't be an issue if you're getting them to install or fix a radio read more

When my factory BMW radio suddenly died, I figured it had to be a fuse, loose connection or maybe the battery. But my auto mechanic disagreed. He thought it was the radio itself, and that after 15 years it had finally reached the end of its life. Since I hadn't bought a car radio since my High School years, I had no idea where to buy a new radio, what features to look for, who to install it, etc. My mechanic suggested I to take it over to Glendale Auto Sound & Detail, right next to Perfect Auto. I had my own alarm installed here I regret coming here. It was done poorly and my concerns were disregarded and dismissed. They but the brain of the alarm where i can be easily tempered to avoid extra effort. They clearly wanted to just get my money and move on. I came in a second time to have them adjust the sensitivity but still you can hit my truck hard enough to leave a dent without triggering the warning chirp. The signals should blink and the do but not always and since it did it when I was there it was dismissed. read more
