I went there with an amp I purchased and with some 6 by 9 Jensen tri-axial's to install in my 2002 Dodge Caravan... first he's Questioning me about whether the Jensens fit in my vehicle... just silly... thats his job. Then he tells me they wont install my little 40 watt booster into a factory Deck cause it doesnt have the proper connections... I'm like it can't be modified ? Nope... the flux capacitor will fail... I took my classic Mercedes diesel to Hugo the owner, thinking that my electrical drain might be coming from the installed radio. He could very easily have suggested that it was, and I would have been tempted to replace the radio. But he was very confident the drain was not from my radio. Nevertheless, as I bought this car recently, I wanted to know if there was a good upgrade for my stereo and my speakers. But when he listened to it he said it sounded great, that there was no need to upgrade it. How often does that happen in Los Angeles? He then showed my girlfriend how to use all the functions of the stereo and how to get the best sound from it, showing his familiarity and expertise, which he earlier showed with his knowledge of my car.
