Absolutely OBSESSED with this place! I grew up in Iran and been telling my American fiance for 5 years I can't wait to one year take you back to my own country to taste an authentic Persian sandwich! This place is as close as it gets!! I've been living in LA for over a decade and soooo happy I finally found a place that taste like home. Super cheap too! We got the German sausage, kotlet and beef tongue! My parents looooved too and they're harsh critics. Thank you for an amazing experience

    Tongue sandwich.

I was craving a sandwich so I yelped up for a sandwich place in the area and this one popped up. To my delight, everyone was raving about the tongue sandwich (I love tongue, esp if it's cooked well) at this place. Despite the negative and terrible write ups about the man who builds the sandwiches, I decided the idea of a delicious tongue sandwich was worth the risk. For $9, I got myself a very very hefty tongue sandwich with the Persian pickled cucumbers (which I've always preferred over American pickles). The sandwich was delicious, as was the tongue, but I will say that I was very very disappointed with the bread. It tasted like cardboard, but luckily the meat in the inside made up for it. If the bread was better I would probably give this place an extra star. It's a very very small place, maybe with 5 tables inside + outside at most. Don't expect to get the best service, just go in and out. I can't speak for the sandwich maker who is apparently the worst in client service. It wasn't so bad for me (knock on wood), but maybe it was cause I went in prepared and fearing the worst.

WHEN: Sun Dec 14th @11am…read more We have just arrived to SoCal by car, and before checking into our Airbnb, we figure we swing by this spot located in a ghost kitchen to pick up some lunch. After placing an order on their website, you would park in the back lot where it's free parking, and enter a tempt room of lockers. I wish they included this in the text where you are to CALL THEM to let them know you've arrived so they can bring your order out to you. It's not like the other establishment in this shared kitchen where they just leave it in one of the order cubbies to pick up. So here I am like an idiot just standing and waiting in the empty room for my order. I didn't know until I checked my email and it said to call them in my receipt. Oh well. Anyway, here's what I ordered: BASTURMA BRISKET - $29 Hand Carved Basturma Brisket, Pickled Persian Cucumber, Chaman Spread, and Swiss Cheese. Served in freshly baked pita bread. I know, what kind of sandwich costs nearly $30!? But let me tell you, you are getting both quality and quantity in this bad boy. This reads 2 people, and those 2 will enjoy this thoroughly. Yes, it's a bit on the saltier side, but that's why you have the cucumber to balance it out a bit and the warm and soft pita bread. The brisket was tender and I loved the spread (which you can buy!). It's such a unique take on the common pastrami sandwich. So remember: 1. Order online (no phone calls) 2. Park in the back 3. CALL THEM, letting you know you have arrived. 4. Enter through the big doors (its unlocked) 5. Wait for them to come out to retrieve order. 6. Enjoy!

I ordered the Basturma Brisket Sandwich which is their most popular item. I am a big fan of both Basturma and Brisket so this sounded like a match made in heaven. And I was right!!! This sandwich was epic!! The meat was tender and smoky. The spices were perfectly balanced. It had a delicious Chaman Spread, a slice of Swiss cheese and housemade pickled Persian cucumbers. The acidity of the pickles helped to balance out the rich meat. It all came together like magic. The sandwich is quite large, which justifies the $29 price. I only ate half and saved the rest for later. It was just as good cold as it was hot. I can't wait for my friends to try it. They will love it!! Great job III Mas!

We ordered the Philly and Pastrami to split and share. We dined in which was among a few small tables situated between the shelves of well-lit and visually clean bottles of liquor. Service was friendly but nothing memorable. After about 10 minutes, both sandwiches were brought to our table. They were hot and came on toasted rolls. Not really sure what bread specifically but seemed a bit like French rolls. Crunch crusts with soft middles which helped to cradle the fillings and absorb the delicious meat juices. The pastrami was great and not overly salty. It had a great zing from the crunchy pickles and mustard. The Philly was nice and gooey. The beef had great texture and was dripping with flavor (literally). Both were very good but I personally liked the pastrami better. If you like meat though, neither will disappoint. We will be back to try the other sandwiches. The only down side to our visit was buying sodas at the store. Their prices weren't listed and in my head, I expected them to be $3 or so. The Mexican Coke and small bottle of lemonade were each $6. $20 for a sandwich isn't cheap, but it price didn't make me gag--but I almost physically gagged when i saw soda prices ring up. Next time, we'll get our sandwiches to go and get drinks elsewhere.

They also make fresh hand rolls in the store, because apparently being amazing at sandwiches wasn't enough. And the owner is awesome. Super friendly, genuinely nice guy who makes you want to support the place even more. Definitely worth checking out. Just don't blame me when you start craving that Wagyu cheesesteak.

Parking is probably the biggest downside. It's street parking only, and it can be a little difficult to find a spot. There isn't much seating inside, so we grabbed a table outside. Luckily, the weather was nice, and it ended up being a great place to enjoy lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, and while the prices aren't the cheapest, they also didn't feel unreasonable given the quality of the food. I ordered Ruben's Cousin on Dutch crunch, and I'd definitely recommend it. The Dutch crunch bread had a great texture, and the sandwich itself was juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced. Nothing overcomplicated--just a really solid sandwich done well. Overall, it's a spot I'd happily return to, as there are already several other sandwiches I'd come back to try despite the parking situation.
