    The Farmer 10/10

This sando shop hits the spot every time. Tried their breakfast sando for the first time and it did NOT disappoint! The Farmer was full of meat and was big compared to other breakfast sandwich joints. Check it out!!

Great variety of hot and cold subs/sandwiches! Ordering is easy at the counter and service was very quick to bring sandwiches out for a group of 10. They also have a mix of indoor and covered outdoor seating perfect for any vibe and easy to meet with small to medium sized groups. I got The Terminator sandwich and was on the hungry side so I went with the Regular size (8") over the Mini (6"). Ghost does a great job at packing the sandwich full so the Mini would have been more than enough for me unlike a 6" at Subway which never really feels like enough. The Terminator had fresh ham, bacon, Swiss, cream cheese and a great mix of veggies and sauces. My only critique is that the sandwich was heavy on the sauce and by the end the bread had sogged out, dissuading me from saving any leftovers.

Stumbled upon the sandwich shop while on the area. We weren't quite sure what we wanted and as we were walking toward our original destination around the corner decided to give the Sando Shop a try. The sandos are definitely an elevated experience to the more well know sub sandos around town. The service was ok. I'm sure they could tell it was our first time visiting, a little extra friendliness or help would have been welcomed. We sat out side and enjoyed our sandwiches.

    XL Uncle Nikki

Got the XL Uncle Nikki sandwich. To my understanding, sandwiches come in L, XL (same bread with 1.5 times the toppings, meats and cheese), and 2XL (same bread with 2x everything). Solid sandwich! The bread especially was great, but I'm unsure if it was worth the $19+ price. I'm not a sandwich connoisseur, but nothing about the meat quality or fillings particularly blew me away. Perhaps their other sandwiches are more standout! Service was decently fast, and the ambiance was nothing fancy. But it was clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking in a busier area, FYI.

Second time here, and it's just as great as the first! The sandwiches are consistently good and honestly, the bread is the star of the show. It's fresh, flavorful, and the perfect base for all the delicious fillings. I had the club with turkey and bacon today, and it was a total winner crispy, savory, and perfectly balanced. The staff really makes the experience special too. They took the time to recommend a sandwich and explained everything patiently, which made the decision so much easier and more enjoyable. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it a great spot to unwind while you eat. Can't wait to try more options next time and highly recommend!

Pretty good sandwich spot in Burbank. Ordered online and drove there from the office. Parking was a bit of a pain as it was a street with a lot of restaurants and it was peak lunch time. But staff was friendly and the sandwich was yummy!

3.5/5 It is a pricey-er sandwich shop but they kinda make up for it with lots of fresh ingredients inside. The dutch bread used for all sandwiches here has a unique texture. There's a bite to it at the crust. But the inside is soft. Parking is limited.

Plentiful seating indoors and outdoors. Love Dutch crunch so I was happy to find this chain that focuses on making Dutch crunch sandwiches! The Santa Monica was super tasty, filling, and saucy. I got a large and still had leftovers!

    Cherise W.

Cozy sandwich spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The sandos are made with warm Crunchy Dutch bread and a nice amount of meat. They have a good variety of bread sizes and different spreads for your sandwich. They also offer hot or cold sandwiches, but your bread will always be warm. Everything is an add on from the meat to the spreads unless you only want mayo or mustard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Street parking can be a little difficult.

    The Melrose
    Stefania C.

Pros: - Service is prompt - Highly recommend The melrose sandwich. Delicious with a bit of spice! - $35 for 2 adults including chips and drink - Seating indoors and outdoors Cons: - Parking is limited but there is a good amount of street parking. - restroom needed a cleaning.

    Heather L.

I had their Melrose, which was packed with flavor. Looking at the amount of fillings, I thought it was going to be very salty, but it wasn't at all, which was a nice surprise. The bread was on the softer side, which I liked. Although it says they have a private parking lot, it's really just a few spaces in a small alley next to the sandwich shop, and there was no street parking on a weekday around 11 a.m. I'd definitely go back to try their other sandwiches.

Well Well ... what did I just walk into ? Burbank / Toluca Lake needed this !!! The rule is that you eat with your eyes first then you take a bite !!! One of the very few spots that delivers on both on a very high level .. as you can see in the pics it is as appetizing as it can be and it tastes twice as good as it looks ! Definitely coming back for more ... Let's talk about service .. as you will get to read my reviews, it will be very apparent that service and ambiance are more important for me !! This establishment does not take that lightly and I'm glad .. what an establishment Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 10/10

Completely different menu. Food was beyond sub par you can make the food at home and would taste better! Save your money. Everything we had from two orders of "taquitos", "esquite", quesadillas and a blood orange mojito. The only thing with a bit of flavor was the esquite, but again to pay for roasted corn on the cob with just mayo and cheese? For $13 ? NEVER AGAIN. I have a problem with the way they name their items which is a bit misleading. For example, they have an item called taquitos, meaning you would expect a rolled fried taquitos. What came was tacos dorados so why is it named taquitos? They DID write on the menu that it's fried tacos..but again why are they not just calling it TACOS DORADOS? Same with esquite typically esquites are corn off the cob but this was on the COBB and yes it was described on the menu as on the Cobb but again why not call it ELOTE instead of esquite. Clearly this is semantics but just frustrating. If you want authentic Mexican food there is a Don Cuco's around the block that is WAY better than this place. They are at a different tier than this Kalavera's location. If you're a drinker perhaps that would make the food taste better...so disappointed and a waste of money!

A True Burbank Classic -- Great Food, Great Service & an Awesome 1950s Diner Experience!…read more I absolutely love discovering local businesses that still have personality, character, and genuine hospitality, and The Great Grill - Back to the 50's is exactly that kind of place. I stopped in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast burrito with crispy breakfast potatoes, and WOW... everything was delicious! The burrito was packed with flavor, generously filled, perfectly toasted, and the potatoes were crispy and seasoned just right. Definitely the kind of breakfast that makes you sit back afterward and think, "That was GOOD!" But honestly, the food is only part of why I enjoyed this place so much. The 1950s diner atmosphere is fantastic. The retro décor, classic diner aesthetic, chrome details, vintage touches, background music, and especially the working tabletop jukebox make the entire restaurant feel like you've stepped into another era. And then there's the service. Friendly. Welcoming. Attentive. Genuine. The owner is awesome and you can tell there's real pride in this restaurant. The place was also spotlessly clean, which is something I really appreciate when dining out. There are plenty of places where you can grab breakfast. What makes The Great Grill different is that you're getting great food + great service + a memorable experience all in one. If you're in Burbank, Glendale, the San Fernando Valley, or anywhere nearby, and you're looking for a classic American diner, great breakfast, delicious comfort food, and a genuine 1950s atmosphere, I highly recommend giving this place a try. This is exactly the kind of local Burbank business I love supporting. Five stars, without hesitation. I'll definitely be back. And next time, that jukebox is getting some attention! The only downside is that every time I've come, there has usually been a bit of a wait, especially because the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating. The inside is cute, but small, so we usually end up sitting outside. This is where their Monrovia location does have the advantage because it has much more space. Parking can also be tricky. Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. That said, the staff are wonderful and always try to be as accommodating as possible despite how busy they are. Highly recommend this place if you're okay with possibly waiting a bit for seating. My friend and I went into this Cafe De Olla on the 17th of this month at 2pm. She met me there and lives in Burbank. I have been here once, I believe back in 2018. It was pretty solid in every way. We were warmly greeted by Erick--the host, standing by the podium and right away he got us a seat inside. After like 5 minutes, Elsa, our server approached us to take our order. My friend and I both felt like we were being rushed through our meal. Food came out hot and quick. We opted for a few of their dishes. Tacos Mananeros, came with 4 tacos ($18.95), with 4 complimentary sauces. 2 of the sauces were very spicy and Elsa didn't warn us. We also got the Veggie Omelette with tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, Jack cheese, topped with avocado and a side order of hash browns. They made the hash browns perfectly. Told her nice and crispy on the top and that's what we got. (18.95). We also shared their French Toast topped with Strawberry, Blueberries, and Blackberries. ($16.95) topped with lots of Whipped Cream (which I love) and a side of syrup. We needed to add more syrup to make the French Toast more moist. The French Toast was a bit dry for our liking. Even the people sitting next to us who ordered the same thing were saying the same. On the flip side, the other 2 dishes tasted fresh and delicious. Great portions for the prices. We also got this drink called Powerful from their smoothies section of the menu. It was called Green Smoothie. Ingredients were the following: blueberries, honey, Greek Vanilla yogurt, avocado and Almond milk. It was simply very refreshing and delicious. My friend wanted some sort of Latte, Espresso, Americano, etc..but they didn't have any of those drinks. All they had was regular & decaf coffee. At first, I asked for Cranberry juice, and Jose, said they only had Apple and Orange juice. We found it a bit odd not to have any of those drinks. Going back to our server Elsa, she was a bit aloof and forgetful. I asked for a bowl of fruit, and it never made it to our table. After we were done eating, I asked for two to-go boxes and a bag, she forgot that too. We had to ask the other employees to get them for us. The same with to-go containers for our sauces. She forgot to bring napkins too. Jose, (our busboy), needs a raise and promotion! This young man read all the ingredients on the Taco menu which came with: bacon & egg, chorizo with potato & eggs, machaka/eggs, & nopaitos/eggs. The writing in their menu was very small. Another server by the name of Angel, truly was an angel. Checked on us while Elsa was taking orders over the phone. They have another location in Monrovia, a gender neutral restroom, place was very clean. Inside was small. It had 10 tables and nice couches with cozy, inspirational decor and pillows. Lovely music playing over head with a nice patio seating. Will I return? Yes, but not anytime soon! Also check for their business hours..
