    Moapa Motel - Clean room

I think one star is too much. The price with everything there was 130$ per night. This hotel comes…read morewith so many amenities, you've got the sound of the nearby freeway all night long, the beds are cheap motel beds, not comfortable at all. The room is clean but has a very strong poop smell when you come inside, makes my day after a long trip. You don't need to worry at night, you can hear everything, from your neighbors opening doors to cars parking outdoor. You'll be welcomed at the nearby gas station for your checkin / checkout, between someone coming taking a pack of cigarettes and another pumping gas. Attendant seems to not care much. I recommend you look a bit further and spend some extra bucks to find a decent place. First and last time I spend a night here.

Absolutely disgusting. We stayed one night to be near Valley of the Fire but it wasn't worth it. We…read morehad to check in at the gas station near by and it was sketchy to say the least. The room was filthy and I only forced ourselves to stay there because it was non-refundable. There was no hot water at all and I didn't take my shoes off for fear of contracting anything. The road noise at night made it very difficult to sleep as well as the very squeaky bed. This was one of the worst experiences I've had in a motel. Unfortunately, there's no way to contact the motel manager for any kind of compensation. The whole property needs to close down because it is operating in an unacceptable state. Run far the other way!

Beforehand, you might want to do some research and watch current videos on IG, TikTok, or YouTube so you know what to expect. We finally made it here on SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH to escape the Vegas heat. It's an hour drive from Las Vegas, so we left at 8:15 am. We arrived at 9:15 am to a line of other cars thinking the same thing...we were already about 20 cars deep. The park opens at 10am to 6pm and it's $30/person for adults. There are about 50 parking spots inside that the workers will direct you where to park, and there are complimentary wagons to load up your belongings to bring to your picnic spot. Top priority for everyone is to cool off in the 100-foot 80 degree river, and snag a great picnic spot. Most prime picnic spots are along the river and come covered and fully equipped with a grill, tablle, chairs, and a garbage can. Restrooms are clean, and there's also a shower as well. For us, swim time in the river was OUR priority, so we packed lightly(cooler, chairs, towels, bluetooth speaker, and water flasks. We brought snacks, ice cream, and poke for lunch. Went for our first swim at about 10:30am Had a Poke Bowl lunch at about 11:15am while lots of people were still slaving away in the heat over a hot grill trying to get lunch cooked for their families. Went for a second swim at Noon. Not too many people swimming as lots of people were still eating. By the time 1-1:30pm rolled around, the river was a madhouse with all kinds of music blasting, and people just having a great time. We decided to call it a day and packed up our belongings then headed back to Vegas. A fun day was had, and yes, we plan to return. Now you know before you go!

We enjoyed the scenic beauty, peaceful downtime, soothing sound of flowing water, a great spot for a quick getaway! The water is its best feature, at a pleasant temperature all year round it's a great time to swim in the river. They have lots of shaded picnic tables and BBQ grills, flush toilet and shower. We're coming back! Hopefully they keep this place peaceful and enjoyable for relaxing and quality time. It would be best to put back the NO LOUD NOISE/MUSIC Rule.

Kitchens and living rooms in each suite (studio, one-bedroom, or two bedroom), well-maintained grounds: two pools, one heated, one with waterfall, hot tub, shuffleboard and tennis courts, nice sitting areas inside or outside the hotel. Each suite is furnished differently by separate owners, but whether a studio, 1- or 2-bedroom, all come with a fully furnished kitchen right down to the dishes/flatware and spatulas, pots & pans, toaster and coffee maker. If traveling with a group, or for extended stays, there's comfortable sitting areas on each floor, a library with fireplace, and a laundry room on 2nd and 3rd floors (bring your own detergent). Best of all, the price is comparable to a common one-room motel room at other motels. You couldn't ask for a better bargain. We very much enjoyed our stay! Will stay again.

This time, I decided to stay at Mesquite, NV which is about 40 miles south of St. George or about 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Hotwire led me here as I like surprise:XD Upon walking in the lobby, my first impression was...is this the retirement home!? the interior has that old fashioned style, wide hallway with tiles instead carpet on the first floor, a library...etc I got suite #210, which is exactly like a one bedroom apartment with full sized kitchen, dining table, living room, bed room, walking in closet and a full sized bath. It's spacious! I assume this property was designed for assistant living and later changed to a hotel. It's freaking hot in Mesquite, NV even after the sun goes down. The air was still hot like inside the oven. The ac worked really well and of course this place is very quiet. The next morning, after checking out, I was on the way heading home. While pulling onto the 15 freeway I all the sudden remembered I left my charging cable in the room! Drove back from the next freeway exit, I told the front desk lady and she immediately made me a key to go up to the room to retrieve my cable. When I got there, the housekeeper was already outside and handed me my cable. If you are not looking for anything fancy, modern and elaborate, this is a good place! For clean, classic and awesome rate, I can see myself coming back for another good night sleep:) P.s there's no charging port on the bedside table, I had to unplug the alarm clock and that's how I forgot my cable :XD
