This hotel comes…read morewith so many amenities, you've got the sound of the nearby freeway all night long, the beds are cheap motel beds, not comfortable at all. The room is clean but has a very strong poop smell when you come inside, makes my day after a long trip. You don't need to worry at night, you can hear everything, from your neighbors opening doors to cars parking outdoor. You'll be welcomed at the nearby gas station for your checkin / checkout, between someone coming taking a pack of cigarettes and another pumping gas. Attendant seems to not care much. I recommend you look a bit further and spend some extra bucks to find a decent place. First and last time I spend a night here.

The room was filthy and I only forced ourselves to stay there because it was non-refundable. There was no hot water at all and I didn't take my shoes off for fear of contracting anything. The road noise at night made it very difficult to sleep as well as the very squeaky bed. This was one of the worst experiences I've had in a motel. Unfortunately, there's no way to contact the motel manager for any kind of compensation. The whole property needs to close down because it is operating in an unacceptable state. Run far the other way!

I asked her nicely if I could checkin and not be charged as courtesy. She declined my request and said it's the policy . I told her I fully understand the policy and it has to be followed accordingly. However we all know that there was not a single soul there that afternoon. I told her if people were overflowing at the front desk I totally understand. I even mentioned to her that I've been playing and gambling all morning. She was totally very unhelpful to the point that I got very upset. Not because of the $20 charge but the principle. On a Monday afternoon in Mesquite do you think there will be hundreds of people rushing to check in. Figure the math. And mind you She was the front office supervisor. No wonder they have 2 star rating. I'm surprised even with 2 stars.

After you park, you can load up a wagon ( that they provide) and cart your stuff to any table you choose. There are a FEW tables that are reservation only but mostly all of them are first come, first serve. Grab your table and set up your spot. Be smart with your valuables as they will probably be out of eyeshot most of the time your floating. Of course, you can just float directly in front of your table if you want. However, the water has so many little spots to explore - don't miss them. SAFETY! You swim at your own risk, there are about a zillion signs that say that. If you get hurt, the liability is 100% on you! For that reason, just be safe, watch your kiddos. On my last visit, as I was taking the top steps into the water - I slipped and fell HARD. Turns out the steps had some pretty slimy algae growing on them. I alerted the grounds staff and they took the time clean ALL THE STEP immediately. I thought that was pretty cool. Be safe, care about others, respect the nature and you can get the grounding you need to relax and rejuvenate. The world needs your magical positive energy - juice it up here.

Beforehand, you might want to do some research and watch current videos on IG, TikTok, or YouTube so you know what to expect. We finally made it here on SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH to escape the Vegas heat. It's an hour drive from Las Vegas, so we left at 8:15 am. We arrived at 9:15 am to a line of other cars thinking the same thing...we were already about 20 cars deep. The park opens at 10am to 6pm and it's $30/person for adults. There are about 50 parking spots inside that the workers will direct you where to park, and there are complimentary wagons to load up your belongings to bring to your picnic spot. Top priority for everyone is to cool off in the 100-foot 80 degree river, and snag a great picnic spot. Most prime picnic spots are along the river and come covered and fully equipped with a grill, tablle, chairs, and a garbage can. Restrooms are clean, and there's also a shower as well. For us, swim time in the river was OUR priority, so we packed lightly(cooler, chairs, towels, bluetooth speaker, and water flasks. We brought snacks, ice cream, and poke for lunch. Went for our first swim at about 10:30am Had a Poke Bowl lunch at about 11:15am while lots of people were still slaving away in the heat over a hot grill trying to get lunch cooked for their families. Went for a second swim at Noon. Not too many people swimming as lots of people were still eating. By the time 1-1:30pm rolled around, the river was a madhouse with all kinds of music blasting, and people just having a great time. We decided to call it a day and packed up our belongings then headed back to Vegas. A fun day was had, and yes, we plan to return. Now you know before you go!

If traveling with a group, or for extended stays, there's comfortable sitting areas on each floor, a library with fireplace, and a laundry room on 2nd and 3rd floors (bring your own detergent). Best of all, the price is comparable to a common one-room motel room at other motels. You couldn't ask for a better bargain. We very much enjoyed our stay! Will stay again.

This time, I decided to stay at Mesquite, NV which is about 40 miles south of St. George or about 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Hotwire led me here as I like surprise:XD Upon walking in the lobby, my first impression was...is this the retirement home!? the interior has that old fashioned style, wide hallway with tiles instead carpet on the first floor, a library...etc I got suite #210, which is exactly like a one bedroom apartment with full sized kitchen, dining table, living room, bed room, walking in closet and a full sized bath. It's spacious! I assume this property was designed for assistant living and later changed to a hotel. It's freaking hot in Mesquite, NV even after the sun goes down. The air was still hot like inside the oven. The ac worked really well and of course this place is very quiet. The next morning, after checking out, I was on the way heading home. While pulling onto the 15 freeway I all the sudden remembered I left my charging cable in the room! Drove back from the next freeway exit, I told the front desk lady and she immediately made me a key to go up to the room to retrieve my cable. When I got there, the housekeeper was already outside and handed me my cable. If you are not looking for anything fancy, modern and elaborate, this is a good place! For clean, classic and awesome rate, I can see myself coming back for another good night sleep:) P.s there's no charging port on the bedside table, I had to unplug the alarm clock and that's how I forgot my cable :XD

It is accurate what others said that it is not at Lake Mead like the name suggested, but it might as well be called "at Lake Mead" because it is the only "Inn" in the area anyway! It really is the only big stand alone place in the area. Nonetheless, we were very pleased with our stay despite some concerns prior to coming from reading mixed reviews. The Inn is owned by a mom and pop, who is OCD about germs I presume, which I really appreciate because of COVID. The owners religiously wipe all high touch areas in the lobby ( we saw her doing this quite a few times when we were there) and the facility is very clean! It is an older facility but they upgraded as much and it is decent. Another thing mentioned by other reviewers that is also accurate is that the room does NOT have many outlets, or any! Seems like the big room only has two outlets, where they plug in the TV and fridge etc, and the other side where they plug in the lamps and digital alarm clock. Needless to say, we had to unplug the TV on one side and the alarm clock in the other side to charge our phones, watches, etc. They give you "breakfast" in a brown bag and you need to ask for it. It is consisted of an apple, a muffin, a granola bar and a packaged orange juice. I would just walk across to get coffee and breakfast instead. Overall, good experience and I would stay here again if I come to Valley of Fire again.

We found them online and chose our boat, time and date there. It was a smooth process to register and prepare for our parties arrival. While I did book a full day rental from 8am to 4pm, we did not show up until around 12pm (yes I called prior to 8am to notify them we were still coming). The young man who checked us in was amazing. He offered us a half day due to only using the boat for half the day. So right there we were winning lol. We walked down to the marina - and met with the guys to review safety and the boat. That did take some time as the boat wasn't ready. But it was okay. When we were finally ready to launch the boat it was amazing. However we did run into an engine issue and had to radio for help but they were quick and came to Assit and we finally made it to the sand bar and spent the rest of our time there. Would I book again ... YES! Would I book again in there middle of July when the devil himself has come on vacation...NOOOOO!!
