The tub with stained/dirty shower curtain and mold around bath tub. This was before I discovered there was no hot water.

I was skeptical about this hotel but it was the closest location to our church camp out. While the room was clean the bathtub/shower area had a stained/dirty shower curtain and mold around the tub. While I had no plans to take a bath/shower I was hoping to sponge bathe. Alas NO hot water. I reported this. Was told I just needed to run the water longer. I ran the water for over 10 minutes. Still no hot water. Reported again. No response. Tried again this morning. It's 5:30 AM. Still no hot water and no response to my report. Checking out. Lesson learned. I just checked out of the motel. Expressed concern about no hot water. Clerk stated, "Yah, they need to get that fixed." What??!! I will be reaching out to the manager at the light of day.

This is the closest motel to the Valley of Fire. Location is accessible to the freeway. Parking is directly outside the rooms. The rooms are spacious with modern designs that complement the Nevada desert. It sits next to a gas station with a restaurant and a bar. Place is very well lit at night. Pet friendly with no hidden charges like resort fees.

On 3/6/26 my elderly uncle was in town from Pahrump, NV for a celebration of life. He attempted to…read morerent a room and was turned away by the front desk because they said they don't rent to locals. The employee stated in the past they have damaged the rooms and that is the new owner's policy. He has stayed at this motel several times in the past without any issues. They didn't ask for ID and just turned him away. In our eyes him living in Pahrump, NV doesn't make him a "local". The business needs to revisit their policy and educate their staff on how to screen guests.

For $60 a night, this place meets expectations. It's one of only three hotels close to Valley of…read moreFire. The other two are in Moapa and Overton. Pros: It's close to Valley of Fire, inexpensive, next to a gas station, restaurant, and bar. Rooms were big, clean-ish (get to that later), and quiet. Everything worked. There was a mini fridge. It's run by employees at the 24/7 gas station so check-in is always available. Cons: This place is cheap and out of the way. It's clean, but definitely beat up. You just know these rooms have seen some things. There does appear to be permanent/long term residents but we weren't bothered by it. The day and night staff seem to have a hard time communicating to each other. This isn't my first rodeo with cheap hotels, so I tempered my expectations. When a place doesn't have a reservation system, ALWAYS have a back-up plan (even if that means sleeping in your car). I called a week prior to make a reservation. Name, phone number, dates is all they asked. Needed a late check-in (1am) since flight would get us in late. No problem. Of course our flight was delayed by 2.5 hours. I called ahead and was told no problem. The room would be waiting. Arrived to the motel at 3:30am. Went to the gas station to check in. I was given a puzzled look by the employee and then told "we don't have any rooms". I explained that I called, she took out the reservation book and I pointed out the room number, dates, and my initials. Some employee didn't bother looking at the book and just gave my room away earlier in the night. Of course I'm standing there thinking my wife and I will be sleeping in the car for the night. Then she asks another employee about a room without a key. They have physical keys and haven't been renting rooms that keys have been lost for. They gave us the room without a key. Not a huge deal, but it did require us to check-in with the employees each time we needed to get back into the room. We didn't leave any valuables in our room since there it's possible someone had the missing key. We spent our entire days out, so not too inconvenient. Although each time I asked to be let into the room, I was given a look of bewilderment by employees until I explained the circumstances each time. They really don't have decent communication skills between shifts or each other. Room was worn down, but fine. Again, this was $60. The door had clearly been kicked in at some point and repaired not too well. There was a small smudge of makeup on the sheet. The AC worked, water pressure was good, TV and fridge worked. The staff was pleasant and helpful outside of initially giving my room away. The daytime manager was very nice. I'd stay again if in the area and needing a place to crash.

There was something to do for everyone, and the food was good. I don't recommend the Einstein Bagel place if you are in a hurry in the morning as most of us were. They were so slow and didn't seem to have a sense of urgency to get your order out timely. The renovated rooms were good so recommend getting those rooms over the non renovated rooms. My friend went to the spa and she highly recommended getting a spa treatment while there. The pool was great too! Overall highly recommended this place while staying in Mesquite, NV.

I asked if we could request pool level, or casino level rooms, and they said yes. Again, no mention of construction. When we arrived, I was told the entire casino floor rooms were closed, due to construction. They offered the third floor, or higher up floors, because the pool level rooms were located directly under the construction. level. As we walked to the elevator, the noise was so loud/horrific, that I was scared to go on the elevator because I thought we would get trapped up on the floor if something happened . There was Constant, loud, banging due to the construction. The staff said this would be going on all's day, every single day. And, the pool was closed! They did not mentioned this on the phone, they didn't even tell us when we checked in. I asked for a refund , and we left to find another hotel. We will never go back to Casablanca , ever again. They said they'd refunded my card, but the chargers are still pending on my credit card.

Kitchens and living rooms in each suite (studio, one-bedroom, or two bedroom), well-maintained grounds: two pools, one heated, one with waterfall, hot tub, shuffleboard and tennis courts, nice sitting areas inside or outside the hotel. Each suite is furnished differently by separate owners, but whether a studio, 1- or 2-bedroom, all come with a fully furnished kitchen right down to the dishes/flatware and spatulas, pots & pans, toaster and coffee maker. If traveling with a group, or for extended stays, there's comfortable sitting areas on each floor, a library with fireplace, and a laundry room on 2nd and 3rd floors (bring your own detergent). Best of all, the price is comparable to a common one-room motel room at other motels. You couldn't ask for a better bargain. We very much enjoyed our stay! Will stay again.

This time, I decided to stay at Mesquite, NV which is about 40 miles south of St. George or about 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Hotwire led me here as I like surprise:XD Upon walking in the lobby, my first impression was...is this the retirement home!? the interior has that old fashioned style, wide hallway with tiles instead carpet on the first floor, a library...etc I got suite #210, which is exactly like a one bedroom apartment with full sized kitchen, dining table, living room, bed room, walking in closet and a full sized bath. It's spacious! I assume this property was designed for assistant living and later changed to a hotel. It's freaking hot in Mesquite, NV even after the sun goes down. The air was still hot like inside the oven. The ac worked really well and of course this place is very quiet. The next morning, after checking out, I was on the way heading home. While pulling onto the 15 freeway I all the sudden remembered I left my charging cable in the room! Drove back from the next freeway exit, I told the front desk lady and she immediately made me a key to go up to the room to retrieve my cable. When I got there, the housekeeper was already outside and handed me my cable. If you are not looking for anything fancy, modern and elaborate, this is a good place! For clean, classic and awesome rate, I can see myself coming back for another good night sleep:) P.s there's no charging port on the bedside table, I had to unplug the alarm clock and that's how I forgot my cable :XD

My mistake in advance booking a room in town for one night, booked at the Virgin River across the street. The horror of that place! I ended up needing a second night in town and stayed at this Holiday Inn. It's like a palace compared to where I had been the night before. This hotel offers complimentary coffee (which wasn't very good) and iced filtered water and iced infused water to it's guests! Wonderful! The front desk staff was friendly and professional. The lobby area was beautiful! Clean and well decorated. Lots of great food items in the snack shop area ... frozen foods, soups, ramen, cereals, candy ... all sort of things that you can take to your room and heat in the microwave. There is a small microwave at the coffee bar area as well. Non-smoking hotel. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker! Nice desk area with a reading lamp. In between our two queen beds was a nightstand with a clock that had a plug outlet and USB ports as well. Also had two wall lamps and a reading light! Large modern TV and a closet area with iron/ironing board. The only thing in the room that seems dated is the HVAC unit under the window. But I understand that is was a previous older hotel that has been remodeled, so you can't exactly remove those units and re-do the entire HVAC system. But that's okay! Nice shades on the window for a clean/modern look. The is a blackout shade and a regular shade. When you enter the room there is a long bench with shoe storage! Love it. Beds were very comfortable and a nice selection of large pillows. Wonderful layout so that when someone is in the bathroom sink area, the light is NOT shining directly into the eyes of your traveling companions who may be sleeping. Loved the lighting around the bathroom mirror and there was a full length mirror as well. Nice shower, modern, clean, and had Dove soap and hair care products. Has one restaurant on property and very clean bathrooms on the lobby level. At the time I'm writing this, they are in the process of building a water park area with a lazy river. I would 100% look forward to staying here again should I ever find myself in Mesquite or traveling through. Highly recommend.
