That's exactly why I brought my car to a professional in the first place--to figure out which factor is actually causing the problem. He then told me to take it to the Toyota dealership, where they would "charge me an arm and a leg." YES, I KNOW THAT TOO! That's precisely why I went to an independent shop instead of the dealership. I came here because I was willing to pay someone to properly diagnose and fix my car, but instead I felt like I was being discouraged from having the work done. At this point, it honestly seems like they don't want to take my money.
