Parking is free on the weekends & Federal Holidays and like $5.20 during the week. You can pay with credit card ($5.80) or your smart trip provided that you have funds. You can park in the garage or on the lot (recommended) as long as it's not marked for commuters.

Yuck. The station itself is decent enough and because it's slightly below ground level, even though it is completely outside, it would be out of the rain. As mentioned, Grosvenor-Strathmore is on the Red Line. It has a center island platform (so that you don't have to go up and over and down to turn around). It is between White Flint (towards Shady Grove) and Medical Center (towards downtown).

The station is equipped for ADA via elevator near the main entrance and has ramps to the platforms. The elevator may have enough room for 4-5 people or 1 ADA Wheel or electric chair and two others. The trains are nice and clean. Not like other stations in other cities. Price is comparable to other cities dreaming from $2.50 -$6.75 depending the time and stop you are heading too. Use your phone, CC, or Smartcard you can purchase from the Metro. Also, you can plan your trip, purchase and schedules from their website @ https://wmata.com I highly recommend to use the site. Ok, I'm finally getting around to reviewing Metro stations. This is a deep station like many on…read morethis end of the Red Line. The platforms are pretty run of the mill Metro platforms. Normally it's pretty clean. Once you take the long-ish escalator ride up away from the tracks, you end up in a covered area where the buses are. This area has a tiny Dunkin Donuts if you need a snack or coffee. As you head to the next set of escalators, there is a water feature (not quite a waterfall) that comes down into the station area from the surface. Nice to have a natural sounds in a very urban area. Once you get up onto the surface, you're at the corner of Old Georgetown Rd and Wisconsin Ave near several hotels and a Starbucks (in case Dunks wasn't your cup of tea). Pretty central to a of businesses and restaurants. All in all, this station is convenient and central to downtown Bethesda.

I did have some challenges with getting out of the parking lot after returning to car. It is a bit confusing on how to get out due to poor signage in my opinion but ultimately figuring it out. All in All it is very easy to get into DC on the train however, after events it can be super crowded. I would recommend added a Tap option for an easy way to pay to get on the train. The metro is always so clean and I find it usually runs on time. There is usually only one station attendant here, and there is a bathroom but they need to unlock it for you. The station also connects to Marc on the lower level. It currently only runs Green line, but is set to alternate green and yellow in December 2025. I wish they'd expand the green line farther north to Laurel, Jessup, or Dorsey station.

I'm so glad they recently brought back the yellow line. If you miss a green line train, a yellow one comes right after! There's still occasional delays but no overall complaints. The employees at this station are super helpful. I'm late to the game but I finally downloaded the smart trip app and use it to enter the station. No need for a physical card.

However, this place is a mess with the never ending, ongoing construction of the Purple Line. I do not know how many times I have missed my connection because you have to travel their rat maze to get to and from the station. I mean, I have literally just missed my bus each and every time I have gotten off of the train. Pros for this place is that they have a parking garage. Bike parking is available as well. Connection with buses, Metro and PG, and with MARC. I really do enjoy this station, if only they can finish at least a bit of the construction to allow for better flow of foot traffic. I will say that this is one of the nicest entrances to a Metro stop I have seen. Being in the midst of George Washington University lends to that. It has the same aesthetic as every other underground Metro station in DC. The trains were running on time the day I chose this station. Coming at a consistent pace and it didn't matter which line I took as I was making my way to a connection. Even though it looked like every other station, this one felt longer than most. And the way I was heading on the tracks it felt like a longer than usual walk to get the part of the platform where I wanted to be. You have to remember not all trains have eight cars.

He's very personable as well. We usually take the metro to the airport when we fly out of DCA at a reasonable hour but we'll definitely call Steve again when we have an early flight or have to use another airport.

Communication, both ways, was outstanding, and he was on time and helpful going and returning. We were out of the country for three weeks, Steve got us to the airport for the departure, and he was there when we got back, excellent service overall and I plan to use this service in the future. If you got to get there using someone else's transport, Steve and Bethesda Shuttle are your go to, you will NOT regret it.
