I called this morning to order and have delivered a birthday bouquet for my daughter. We live on opposite sides of the state and I am not familiar with any florists in the area. I actually called a competitor in Columbus, I won't mentioned names but it starts with a T. I asked about delivery to a high school as my daughter is a nurse. The location is in Smith's Station which is a rural area across the state line. Distance was a concern but I asked anyway. "No", we will not deliver. Feeling a little discouraged, I called Bloomwoods after browsing their webpage. Immediately I asked if they would deliver and they said, "yes"!! I selected an arrangement from a photo and placed my order. I just crossed my fingers and hoped it would be delivered before school was out. I got a text less than an hour later from Kim with a picture of the arrangement. I was blown away. Shortly afterwards, received a text from my daughter and she was thrilled. She said they are the prettiest flowers she has ever received. I couldn't be more pleased: The actual arrangement exceeded the website photo expectations. Not only that, but they were not fresh flowers at all; the few roses in there had brown around them. While they have delivered beautiful flowers a few times in the past, this is not the first time that they have had brown around the flowers and had to be replaced. First of all, the flowers looked nothing like the flowers I ordered; the arrangement was not a full arrangement which I was promised it would be; in fact, the arrangement was split right down the middle. The plant looked like it had a wedgey. I was promised fresh flowers, which my Mother obviously didn't receive. They have promised to make it right; we shall see just how ethical they really are and if they will actually honor their promise. After they make it right tomorrow, I will not be using them again. Finally, what I paid for does not reflect the value of what my Mother received.

The flowers and message meant the world to me, as these things tend to do for anyone who orders flowers. Got an email confirmation saying I was all set after placing it, then digging into my email I came to find that I was emailed back this morning with a simple "Sir we cannot process this order and it has been voided." No explanation or context as to why. Considering the nature of the business, I would think it'd be important for these things to be communicated a little more clearly. It just felt impersonal for a business that deals exclusively in highly personal dealings. I've ordered flowers before and they've always called when they need more info or if something is wrong, etc. Hope I don't sound whiny but actually felt like this was unprofessional, not to mention now I have missed the opportunity to send what I wanted to the person I love. I wish the business the best moving forward but this is jarring and I will certainly not be ordering from here again.
