My boyfriend and I decided to get breakfast early Saturday morning which I thought would be a terrible idea. To my lovely surprise, there was seating for us at the bar. I also thought the service would be slow, but it was quite the opposite. The wait staff was super attentive and even made accommodations without issue. Also, the decor is 50s themed and feels like a blast from the past. After we enjoyed our delicious dishes, we walked out and saw a huge line waiting at the door. Safe to say we came at the perfect time but clearly this is one of the most popular breakfast spots in town!

This little luncheonette is nestled between stores on Main Street. It's a small place with about 7 booths, a counter and a bunch of smaller tables. It has a retro feel and brings back nostalgic memories. It's a very tight fit restaurant and it was very crowded on a Friday late morning, which means on a Saturday or Sunday there will be long waits. There are many staff members and I found they were not as attentive as I thought they should be. With that much staff, they should be filling coffee and seeing if we needed anything rather than having to raise my hand to get their attention. The restaurant was clean even though you could see its age. Let's start talking about the food- The coffee, served in large mugs, which I like very much, was strong and bold and satisfying. We had the Traditional breakfast which was three eggs, breakfast potatoes and toast. The over-easy eggs were cooked too long. The toast was burnt. The breakfast potatoes were terrible. They were just cut up potatoes cooked with some paprika. Not impressive at all. The Mediterranean Omelette was much better and the olives thrown in make this dish the standout of the meal. We ordered French Fries instead of the breakfast potatoes and these struck me as frozen, grocery store bought fries. They were soft and very disappointing. The three stars is truthfully due to the atmosphere. It was cool and I liked being in there...but not enough to come back.

Came for a lunch on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. We ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad Home fries or cubed potatoes and eggs poached in sauce.

Glen's Dinette in Babylon NY on Main Street , is a great place to have Breakfast, Brunch Or Lunch. Soups are delicious. Like Butternut Squash in session. They also have fresh muffins and perfect maid Tuscan poached eggs with the cooks/chefs making it to order the way requested. Dinette has been there many years with ever interested decor a license plates on the walls. There is a counter and there are tables inside and outside weather permitting. The parking is street parking bring quarters. ( holiday red bags over meters this season) Note: they are listed as Cash only- but do take credit cards now. Check hours before stopping by.

What a fun experience! Also saying Hi! to our waitress Toni! That chipotle chicken wrap was sublime!!!!! We ventured to Babylon for our son's annual train ride. Glenns has been around almost 75 years! Nostalgic but not stale! The food was great! Awesome Waffle/chix! Great Wraps and also the Reuben! Decent prices and you will leave full! Truly a great service with nothing but smiles! If you are eve in the area, trek down to Glenn's!!!

It's a very adorable old- fashioned diner with a huge menu of sandwiches and breakfast served all day. Awesome retro counter with bar stools. Outdoor seating is a plus. Staff is super friendly and accommodating! Three stars because of an extremely limited vegetarian menu. As someone who looks to limit dairy and eggs as well, there was only one item that I could find.. a garden salad. I understand it's a diner and my diet is not typically at this type of establishment, but usually I can find a roasted veggie wrap or grilled portobello sandwich. Would love to go back if they add an item or two.

Great NY style hash. Homemade with strips or red corned beef and large chunks of roasted potatoes. Nice big portions and very consistent.

This is a pretty solid diner at the intersecting borders of Farmingdale, Lindenhurst & W. Babylon…read more It doesn't get too crowded on weekends and you can usually get a parking spot in the lot surrounding the restaurant. We've been here usually late Saturday morning for brunch and breakfast is served all day. Whether you're looking for some bacon & eggs, omelets, pancakes or a cheeseburger deluxe, you'll find it on their expansive menu. There's even a whole page of chicken sandwiches! Since this is a Greek diner, you'll also find gyro & souvlaki, along with 2-3 soups of the day and they rotate depending on the day of the week. If they have any of my favorites, Cream of Turkey, Split Pea or New England Clam Chowder, I'll always get a cup of soup to start. The daily lunch specials include a variety of different sandwiches and wraps, as well. You can't wrong with a burger deluxe, complete with lettuce, tomato & French Fries. Feel free to ask to substitute home fries, curly fries or sweet potato fries. If I'm in the mood for breakfast, even in the afternoon or evening, I like over easy eggs on corned beef hash with the yolks running over the hash, along with sides of home fries and toast. My wife will usually go for an omelet and she'll get a Farmer's, Western or customizes her own. She likes to get grits as her breakfast side instead of home fries. And if I get a sandwich or burger, she usually steals my pickle O.o, but I secretly stash the bonus onion ring for myself.

Price - $30 (appetizer, entree, beverage (free refills), tip) Food - 4/5 - solid food, huge amount. Service - 3/5 - solid, nothing beyond. Ambiance - 3/5 - typical diner feel. Overall - 3/5 - solid diner and that is all it is. Food tasted like a diner, got diner service, and diner vibes. Only thing worth noting is you will get a massive amount of food. Ordered fish and chips and received a pretty size-able salad along with it, 5 pieces of fish, not to mention the additional pasta salad and other small sides (pasta salad was pretty bad IMO). Overall if you are hungry and looking to eat diner food, this is a good stop. Aside from that, nothing worth going out of your way for. Best Dish - nothing to note

Service - 4/5 - went above whats needed. Ambiance - 4/5 - nice vibe and decorated nicely. Overall - 3/5 - ok spot. Service and ambiance were better than expected but food was sub par. Food was pretty lackluster even for a diner. Onion rings were ok, chicken tenders were like every other cheap restaurants. Ordered the Chinese pork roast sandwich and was a total disappointment. Also did not give extras like other diners do. Only saving grace was Banana Silver Dollar pancakes. Service did go above, water was always full, chef and waiter helped get us an order they don't normally do. They went above what was needed. Inside was decorated really nicely, felt very festive and upbeat. Was not expecting that. If food wasn't sub par, would definitely be worth a stop.
