After I had dropped off the bikes they text me a little while later saying my other bike needs a new front brake and it would cost $30. I told them it was fine and to go ahead and do it, but when I saw the receipt I didn't get charged an extra $30 I got charged an extra $82 which is insane to me. If I had known it was going to be that much i wouldn't have given them the okay to do it but how would I have known when they told me it was going to be $30 and straight up lied. I was going to give them at least 2 starts for the job they did but the very next day I rode the other bike that they had replaced the inner tube for my flare tire and that same tire pops which has never happened to me so soon and fast. I had bought an extra inner tube so I go to change it myself and I see that these guys couldn't even put the inner tube in correctly they just shoved it in there like they didn't care, so no wonder it popped so damn fast. If I could give 0 starts I would.

The drive into the park and throughout can be a bit sketchy at parts because there are times when the road is so narrow, only one car can pass at a time. They have small turnouts, but it got interesting at some places. You also have to watch out for hikers that are parking down the road and walking into the park to avoid the entrance fee. The ranger at the entrance was very friendly and helpful. He handled the exchange for the $10 entrance fee. You can pay online with their QR Code, but I didn't have service, and they also charge you an additional $0.55 service fee for that service. There are restrooms right at the entrance. The facilities are well-kept and stocked, which we all appreciated. We parked near the Rolling M Ranch Campground. Looks like a decent camping area. They don't allow campfires though. There were campsites available. We started out hiking Ranger Ridge Trail, then swung down to Raptor Ridge Trail. Whew! My quads and calves were BURNING! Those are some steep climbs there! These particular trails are also very narrow with a ton of overgrowth. I was glad I wore long-sleeves, but should have worn pants because the brush tore my legs up a bit. There's also a ton of foxtails and they kept getting stuck in the top of our shoes. Ouch! When we swung back down to Telegraph Canyon Trail, that was wide enough for us all to walk together and had nice spots of shade. That trail was well maintained. There are a ton of hiking trails here. I'd be willing to keep coming back to explore more!

No email after a week, so I emailed to ask the status and was told the main extra (shock absorber post) was being shipped there and would arrive within a week, and asked me to pick it up and bring it back in when the part arrived. I wrote back that I don't drive unless I have to (medical), have never ridden an e-bike so would be transporting it home to learn to ride it, and so asked him to store it until the part was in and it was a full build. Scott accommodated, and I got a fully built PERFECT bike for me yesterday. Scott helped me load it into my SUV (a tight fit, so grateful for his help) and I shook his hand. I looked for walking spots in the Brea area and this park popped up. There was a bit of a line to…read moreget in on Memorial Day and the cost for parking on a holiday was $7. The display also showed $5 for weekends and $3 midweek. We wanted to do the Redwood trail and were directed to parking lot A. The park is big and beautifully landscaped with a pond and various picnic areas that can be rented in advance. There is enough space to set up all kinds of games. We brought a picnic lunch and sat on a bench that was perfectly situated alone amongst the desert plants. After lunch, we followed the signs for the Redwood Grove Trail which was labeled as easy and is a 1.5 miles dirt trail to the Redwood trees. When you arrive you'll see a small Redwood forest with the history of the trees displayed before you enter. A really beautiful and peaceful spot to relax for a bit. On our way back we decided to take the Creek Trail to see where it would lead us. I was hoping to see water at the end of this trail. But, we only saw a bunch of rocks at one point that may be filled with water if it rains. The end of this trail did lead us to a beautiful butterfly garden and the opposite end of the park. We made the walk back and stopped at the pond. There appeared to be other trails surrounding the park and a trail that leads to the Carbon Canyon Dam.

Have a few playgrounds along w some gazebo available with picnic tables under the gazebo. It's a pretty nice clean park. With lots of trees, shadings and a great walking cemented sidewalk. You can walk from Carbon Canyon Park to go see the beautiful Redwoods. Lots of tennis courts available at this park. There is a parking fee since it's a regional park.
