Stopped by as a walk in client, was there for a pedicure. I used to go to this business prior to Covid. It has been renovated and looks nice. I was greeted and taken back without a wait. I did not get the technicians name but she was nice and did a great job on my pedicure. I was relaxed and enjoyed my time. I got exactly what I asked for and the overall service was nice. the lady that did my nails was so kind and talkative and told me everything she was doing and helped me to pick color. one of the better manicures ive had. the pedicure was also fantastic and although he didn't talk at all he did a fabulous job at the pedicure. my feet feel great. The guy a small older man, started off by shoving the nail clippers to far down my toe nails. Looked like he was in a rush and was handling me so rough. They were already short as is. He just had to even them out, then he starts scrubbing and he is literally scrubbing the top of my foot. Like i was in pain, I told them hey can you scrub the bottom not the top. I felt like that's when they started being so rude to me. Should I just keep quiet while he scrubs the soft thin skin on the top of my foot? I asked if they can clean/ cut the corners of my toes like sometimes stuff gets in there and she the girl next to him translating suggested I go see a doctor lol. Never had that one before. The lady was doing my friend beside me and she was just being so rude as well. Like the way she was talking to us. Like we are literally here giving you business, the prices aren't cheap and we're getting treated so badly. I just will never be back after the treatment I received and the quality of the nail job was terrible. The whole experience was so bad, idk how they have good reviews. I talked to a lady on the way out, she said they recently got a new owner. They use to be good and very friendly. Today I went to get my nails done here and I have been here before and had okay experiences, this place definitely isn't the best but I never had a problem with it until today. Today I got there at 10 when they opened and all the employees were slightly late but I get that. The service was nice and the place is okay but my nails do not look good at all. All I got was my nails painted with gel and the gel doesn't even color my whole nails and is pretty see through and they then charged me $25 for it which is $5 more than the usual price for a gel color. Highly unsatisfied with my experience today can someone PLEASE point me to a good nail place in northern Kentucky!? read more

I think they have been sold? It looks a bit disheveled all of the colors you normally pick from are gone and they raised the prices even tho the prices are listed on the wall are wrong??Not a bad mani/pedi but what the heck. I went here on a VERY rainy day and they were packed!! I felt bad that they were closing in 45 minutes and people still was coming in. The staff there was very welcoming and did not seem too discouraged. They were able to everyone through at a good pace and had many people working. The place was a decent size with one wall full of chairs for pedicures and the other wall lined with manicure stations. The place had a Tuscany feel to it and comfortable chairs. I received a french Shellac manicure and the person who worked on my nails did an excellent job. He was very receptive and made sure that I like the shape of my nails and the thickness of the white tips. They look awesome!! I think I found my new spot to get my mani's and pedi's. read more

The girl I had was so sweet and I love my nails I told her what I wanted and she gave me exactly what I wanted they are perfect!! I've had a long wait twice, short wait once, and "walked in" once so far, but I've always been very pleased with my nails when they're done. Waited an hour and left with no service- Last time I was here it also took 30+ min for a shellac fill in- it's also $40 + tip (that's on the higher range for this service). I noticed another person that was frustrated and one lady just walked in and told her kid they will come back another day- it's clear they do not have enough workers to suit the demand. Pretty typical strip mall, walk-in nail salon. I asked how long the wait would be for a pedicure and was told 10-15 minutes so I decided to stay. The fumes are very strong here so if you're sensitive to that, you might want to avoid. After about 10 minutes, I was indeed taken to a pedicure chair, but then left there, feet turning to prunes, for over 30 more minutes before someone came to start my pedicure. Not cool. At one point, a guy came over and assured me it would just be 2 more minutes, but it was actually more like 20 from that point. Argh! When my pedicure finally started, it was great. The girl was responsive to my requests, spent a good long time on the leg massage, and did a nice job on the polish. I was also able to pull up a coupon on my phone that I found through their Facebook page that gave me $5 off (signature pedicure is normally $30). One tip: if you're a fan of catching up on your celeb magazines while getting a pedicure, they keep them all in near the back at the drying station. If you ask, they will bring some to you. Overall, I was happy with the actual pedicure, but the wait time vs. what was promised was very annoying. read more

Me and my girlfriends come here for pedicures. It's one of the few places we could find in NKY that could fit all 4 of us in a row so we could chat and catch up on life. They do a great job even on kid's feet. My friend's daughter likes to have them paint flowers and bows and stuff on her toes, and they always look awesome. Plus they don't mind that I bring my 2 year old. She sits in my lap during my pedi and I bring polish from home and paint her little toesies while mine are being done, so she can be "one of the girls" too. They're really great. Really disappointed in how poorly customers are prioritized here. While I am someone who is ok with waiting, I draw a line with the policy that allows people to sign in multiple other customers who are not present. I arrived with only one person sitting in the waiting area. About 20 minutes later, while I was still waiting, this person's 3 friends arrived and were prioritized before me because their friend had signed them in. In addition to that, someone who also arrived 20 minutes after I did (and who signed in after me) was taken back early to get her shellac removed. While I completely understand getting a head start on that, they then proceeded to bump her ahead of me and they started on her pedicure. At no point did anyone check in or even acknowledge that I had been waiting for an hour and a half by that point, so I left. I wouldn't have waited as long as I did had anyone at any point told me that my arrival time did not matter. I watched 4+ people come in after me and receive the same service I requested ahead of me. That's just bad policy. Lesson of the day: Send someone ahead of you to sign your name in so you can breeze past the schmucks in the waiting area or at least show up with some shellac on so you get bumped to the front of the line. OR, if you have nowhere to be and enjoy hours of breathing in fumes, just show up and wait like I did. Me? I'll be returning to adulthood and paying a bit extra to be treated like a human whose time matters. read more

Multiple people walked up and looked at the list but no one ever looked my direction or gave me an idea on time. There were 5 people who came in after and it was the same scenario. I recently got acrylics from this place. They charged me $5 extra for coffin shape and they charged me $5 extra for matte. The matte coat was completely gone within 2 days. My nails chipped very fast and they are very frail. One snapped and three others are about to. I've only had them for 2 weeks. I do not recommend. $50 down the drain.... read more

I've always gone to Xnails in Newport because i live in Ft. Thomas and that's supposedly the "go to" for mani/pedis. I've never been fully satisfied with them, however, because i always felt like i was bothering them with my business and they are very rough with their manicures. The final straw with them was when i went to get a fill in with my acrylic nails and the lady was text/on the phone the entire manicure. So much so that she put a hole near the cuticle in my nail! Thank god i found NKY Nails. I will never go anywhere else, the ambiance is beautiful and soothing and the owner/staff are so friendly. The gentleman that fixed my nails actually ended up taking my old acrylics off and having to redo them (minus the nail that had had a hole put in it thanks to Xnails and i now have to wait for that to grow out to even get the acrylic taken off). The whole re-do process took about and hour do to previous bad work and they only charged me $30 for the entire thing! He was so nice and GENTLE, I am very impressed with NKY Nails and will never go anywhere else! If i could do more than 5 stars i would! read more
