Let me start by saying that I cannot express how absolutely amazed and grateful I am that Ashley and Yesenia exist. They saved my hair for my wedding! My wedding is in 20 days and I had gone to another hair salon that had completely ruined my hair. I was anxious and nervous to try a new place, but this was the best decision I have ever made. Ashely took my hair and worked nothing short of a miracle. I have been working on growing out my previous red hair dye and she was able to do the most stunning blonde blending service that has made my grow out journey more tolerable. I have gotten compliments on my hair nonstop since visiting her, and my hair has never been healthier. She taught me a lot about how to better care for my hair, how to style it to get the look that I wanted, and even recommended supplements that have immensely helped me grow my hair and keep it healthy in between sessions. I like that she had a three month, six month, and year plan for my grow out goals and has made the process of growing out my hair fun. Unfortunately, to have best hair stylist isn't enough. I've made an appointment in December for February 12, 26. Unfortunately, got sick a day and a half prior to. I've notified them by texting about that and, because it didn't fall within 48 hours( it's been 36 hours notice) they chat me $180, a half from what apparently my schedule was. Never mind, I've never even order the service for $360, they refuse to give me my money back. Just want to advice, do not give your credit card. I had such a delightful experience getting my hair dyed at A Perfect Hue! My stylist left the top layer of my hair undyed and created a beautiful row of rainbow colors peeking out underneath. I've been letting my hair grow out straight because I couldn't a find a hairdresser in Las Vegas that could cut layers like I wanted until yesterday. I saw Jenny at a Perfect Hue and finally found my hairdresser. She cut my hair dry which made all the difference. She also did what she called mending which cuts away all the flyaway frizzy hair. My hair finally looks and feels better than it has since I left California. She was also good at not cutting too much so I kept the length I wanted. I would highly recommend Jenny if you are looking for a new hairdresser. The shop itself was very clean and had a good atmosphere. They are also not pretentious and prices are good. Looking for a stylist and colorist for an upcoming wedding to handle a root touch-up, recolor, and trim, I had found A Perfect Hue. Having read some of their reviews, I was excited to see a salon that specialized in color specifically, and was encouraged when their intake form asked about pronouns. Even better, I was able to book with their most experienced stylist and owner next day. These was quite a bit of upsell on their online calendar, but I shrugged it off and completed the booking. Day of, I received a phone call from her. Apologetic, she explained that the online booking calendar was "a little weird," and that she wouldn't be able to see me before the end of her shift. She also explained that the teal I had requested "wasn't really her specialty," and assured me she had a stylist lined up who would be better equipped. After a brief conversation, we found an alternate time with this stylist, and she offered me a discount on a value-added treatment for the inconvenience. While I appreciated the gesture, it did leave me with a few questions. "Why isn't the online calendar up to date, if that's what I'm supposed to use to book?" "Is 'blue' really an area of specialization in hair care?" "What will the experience be like with this unnamed Level 1 whose portfolio I didn't get to see?" "Am I being blown off?" I was greeted by the owner when I arrived, and invited to make myself at home and peruse the products while waiting for my stylist to become available, offering beverages and light refreshments during the wait. The overall vibe was a bit stiff and commercial, but the hospitable gesture was a nice touch. Noting the continued upsell, I did so. The selection of brands and products was decent: Redken, Pureology, and K18 to name a few, with a fair variety for several hair types. I didn't see quite as much geared toward Type 4 hair; it doesn't impact me directly, but it did strike me as noticeable, and may be of note for future readers. It was about fifteen minutes before I was finally seen. A little miffed at this point, given that I already had to upend my day, I was ushered to a back corner for a consultation, where I had rehashed basically everything I already mentioned on the intake form. The experience left me wondering why I had invested as much time as I did in filling it out. LGBTQ folks: The fact that I was misgendered during my visit left the same sour taste. Reviewing the pricing structure, I was left with a bit of sticker shock, which didn't quite track with what I had seen on their website. (Before I continue, this was later fixed... somewhat.) The stylist, seeming unsure as she explained each item in detail, assured me this was the maximum I would be on the hook for. Now, at this point I had already rescheduled once, and needed to be seen swiftly for the wedding. "In for a penny," I figured, and decided to move ahead. The service didn't inspire any additional confidence. Movements were tentative. Consultations with other stylists were frequent enough to be of concern. Combs and caps fell out of and off of my hair multiple times. Seeing the parceling of each individual strand between the separations in my existing color was glacial, almost painful to watch. Minimal measures were taken to prevent misapplication. Rather than a two-way dialogue, which I'd grown accustomed to in my preference to work with stylists and colorists with a bit more experience, it seemed I needed to direct each detail. This became the most pronounced when it came time for the color. It turned out that the vibrant blue color I used previously was stocked, though a teal blend for comparison was brought out to me on a paper towel. Someone without a background in the arts probably would've opted for the latter, seeing something visibly more teal. In the pricing breakdown I'd requested, it also wasn't lost on me that I would be charged for each color. Instead, I quickly pointed out that I mentioned on my intake form that the color used will produce the teal shown in my photos, when it meets the yellow of the bleached section of my hair. Going with the teal blend would have resulted in a much more green end result, which wasn't at all what I wanted. Sheepishly, she admitted she already mixed the other colors. I'd gently insisted on proceeding with what I'd initially asked for. Having to explain basic color theory to someone who might well have been a trainee further spoiled the experience, especially given the prior reassurances. The complimentary scalp massage with the warm essential oil towel was brief, maybe a minute. For a free service I couldn't complain, but if I was charged for it I'd have been disappointed by the brevity and technique. When all was said and done, everything took 4.5 hours, with a dye job and shampoo so sloppy it left my forehead stained. The end result was, in a phrase, just okay. For the journey to get there, and what I ultimately paid? Not so much. Sadly, I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

I came to Emily from a recommendation from another blonde who i worked with. I had gone through one of the worst hair experiences and Emily fixed my hair. She took me from cotton candy texture of an over processed fiasco combined with a splash of under processed orange... to a wonderfully blended health forward blonde. I have never stopped going to Emily because she has always delivered and continued to grow her techniques of herself and of her staff. She has offered new trending techniques and styles that she thought i would like all while keeping in mind the health of my hair. I will continue to keep coming back. I found this place on Instagram & looked at the reviews as well as the pics. Then I tried to contact Emily and left her multiple messages.. took like a week to get back to me but then as I was talking to her she seemed like she knew what she was talking about and what exactly I was wanting to do as I sent her multiple pics of inspirational hair colors. She explained that it would be a process because my hair was dark medium brown & I wanted to go blonder with some steaks of my same color in it still as we spoke about originally. She made me an appt, My hubby & I walked in .. right away a girl named Camille was standing at the front desk & totally ignored us.. okay so that wasn't a very good feeling. But then there was a sweet lil girl sitting there as well & asked us if we wanted anything while we waited for Emily to get done with her current customer. About 10 mns later Emily came up introduced herself to us both and said she would be right with us. My turn came so we moved to the chairs in the back. I wanna point out that Emily was very very pregnant & I could tell her back was killing her as a mother myself I could understand. Anyways we talked about what I wanted again & she said ok how blonde do you want it .. we did pick out a color.. But I made it very clear I did not wanna walk out of her salon with Yellow hair!!!!! She said don't worry. So she had a Cpl helpers that I thought were only gonna be observing or grabbing stuff for her turned out without her asking they all 3 started coloring my hair in different sections... I did not think at this moment about how different people color gaur differently .. ect... as I was noticing she was teaching one of the girls... the other one I'm sure knew how but then she says do you care if I have the 3 of us do your hair ??? what was I suppose to say no when her back is hurting her??? We proceeded to color my hair ... after the first coloring my hair was bright yellow ... I was almost in tears... but I told the girl I was ok... they did a treatment on my hair & I did not see any streaks at this point it was all one color & she blowed it dry & styled it ... As I was kinda confused about the yellow coloring... I continued to tip them anyways.. the girls were all nice but in my opinion I really was kinda flabbergasted about the color... Emily took pics and a video that same day of my hair .. I also purchased shampoo, conditioner & hair protection spray as well as leave in conditioner.. came out to almost 700$ on my way home I caught myself staring at my hair and was not happy with the outcome.. I do need to mention the next day I was so so sick & thought I had strep throat... I didn't even mention this to the owner but I feel like I need to say if your sick stay home.. because evidently someone was sick. 2 days later my husband got really sick started the throat.. turned out his turned into tonsillitis & to this day he is still coughing... yeah & we did not go anywhere after that just straight home. After I stated feeling better I sent Emily a message teller her I was not happy with my hair & she said I was welcome to come back in and tone it so I did and still didn't mention about us getting sick or even asking who was sick there that day.. I had my hubby stay in the car.. this time & after Emily was done it still was yellow looking. I get blonde looks yellow but not the color I asked for in the very beginning as well as no streaks of my original color in it... I will post my before & after as well as the example pics I wanted... I don't even have any streaks with my original color it's just all yellow... I am still to this day not happy & I will not be going back. If you have read this review please take it amongst yourself to make your own choice to go here as this was just unfortunately my experience. Oh last thing my hair cut is soooo offf. I just had a total hip replacement, and thought that I would treat myself after the surgery with a trip to a salon. To be honest, I am also fairly lazy when it comes to hair styling, so anything that takes more than washing and brushing would probably not happen. Most of the scheduling was done through text, and they were very patient with me, as I had to work around my doctor appointments and physical therapy. I decided to do an actual in person consultation instead of a virtual one which worked better for me. I worked with Violeta, and she was great! She listened to my concerns, showed me a few photos of things that could be done, and discussed them. We came up with a plan, and she had time during that appointment to do a cut, wash and style. We also decided to add some color, which we scheduled for the next day. We used a purple glaze, and it looks nice. She explained everything as she was doing it, so I knew what was going on. The salon is clean and inviting and everyone is really friendly and supportive. They are professional without being stuffy. You could tell everyone was working hard, but it was not frenetic - everything seemed to be running smoothly and had a relaxed vibe. They had drinks and snacks available. There is an ice cream place a few doors down called #ScoopLV. When I was done, we went over and ran into a few others that had been in the salon. That was fun. read more
