I had my windshield broken by a golf ball on the freeway. The next day I contacted Felix at Global Auto Glass and he immediately requested a replacement from the warehouse. I needed a new windshield and found the conveniently located Global Auto Glass after giving up on the national chain that my insurance company recommended because it would take over a week to get an appointment. With one call I had an appointment for about two hours later. An hour after that, my new windshield was done. Sent my girlfriend over there in my truck to get the window tint removed. I called a couple hours before. He quoted me 100 to 160. 160 being if the tint was really old and hard to pull off. I proceeded to tell him that I took one window off the previous night and it wasn't hard at all and that it came off in one piece. Very easy job to do but I just haven't had the time lately. I will commend him for squeezing me in on short notice, but he didn't take the door panel off (like they do when they put it on) so under the rubber piece there was still a bunch of goo so when I roll down my window it smears all the glue like crazy. He hit me with 150 which I didn't mind at first but when I got home to check it out and I was very unimpressed I was going to get my windows retinted a different shade but it won't be from there. read more

Felix is a craftsman, does quality work. He originally replaced my windshield but after he installed it, he noticed it had a long scratch in it. Without hesitation, he pointed it out and ordered a new one to replace it at cost to his business. It's refreshing to do business with honest hard working folks. I cannot say enough about the kindness and over the top customer service we received from Felix at Global Auto Glass. I had just picked up my daughter from San Francisco to bring her home from college on a Saturday. We live just north of San Diego so we had a long trip in front of us. When my daughter was coming off a freeway ramp in Gilroy, furniture inside her vehicle shifted and caused her windshield to shatter. I was concerned because we were unfamiliar with the area and did not know anyone. I called Global Auto Glass and reached Felix. He told me his business was getting ready to close, but when I explained our situation Felix went out of his way to help us. He made some calls, located the correct glass for my daughters vehicle in San Jose and made arrangements to have it brought to Gilroy. He then met us at his shop after hours and was able to replace the windshield and get us back on the road. Were it not for Felix and his efforts we would have been stuck, possibly for the entire weekend. One cannot put a price on safety and I am thankful Felix understood our situation. I own a shop and we do not install windshields so I called and got a quote for $179 for a 1990 Ford F150 for same day installation. no show, no call, so i called back. installer said he could not make it until the next morning at 9:30. He came and installed the windshield, great job minus a couple of needed clips. I'm handed the bill for $299.56 and i went postal. evidently the quote was for just the glass. add 2 tubes of adhesive, ($56!!!) and labor of $60, which is fair price for the labor, but not quoted. I'm thinking "what would my customers say to this practice?". Next time i go to a restaurant i should ask if the price of the steak includes cooking, steak sauce, butter for the rolls, etc etc. not, not, not and not. After discussing it with someone somewhere on the phone I paid the $179. Really unprofessional system. read more

Got a very fast quote for replacing my Toyota Highlander passenger side window. They said they could do it the same day, within a few hours. They were very nice, and easy to deal with. Got the car back later that same day. They even vacuumed out the car of all the broken glass. Great service, good price. Highly recommended. read more

Called multiple times to get my windshield replaced but no one ever picked up. Answering machine is also a generic message so not even sure if the phone number on here is correct. Disappointed that no one would answer the phone. Took my business elsewhere. read more

Took my car in without an appointment this morning to replace the windshield. They had time to work on it if I could leave it. Called me about an hour before they had said it would be done, saying they were finished. When they discovered I was going to walk the 1.3 miles to their shop they volunteered to drop it off instead. My car was broken into via the side widow over the weekend. I called around a few places to try and get it replaced as soon as possible, but none of places had the type I needed which was weird and said I would have to wait 3-4 days for a part from Florida. I called and spoke with Felix and he had the part I needed and was able to replace it the next day. Super friendly service and good deal.
