Window was broken by vandals Friday night. I had to drive to Reno Nv by 11am the next day. I called Globo at 8am on Saturday, the office admin said the glass was in stock. The glass piece was procured by them and I was asked to meet them at 9am. They were done with the glass replacement by 9:30am. The techs were respectful and all around good guys, I appreciated the positive rapport. My car was broken into on Thursday evening while we were out at a restaurant. For some reason, the perpetrator/s decided to do the least bit of damage and broke my valence window on the driver side of my rear door. I called my insurance/AAA and they made an appointment for me with Safelite Autoglass, however; none of their locations near my house had any availability until the following Saturday (9 days from the incident). The AAA representative let me know though that Safelite could do a complementary "crash wrap" any time before my appointment. I drove to Safelite Autoglass the next day and they said they were out of "crash wrap" for the near future and did not know when they would get new inventory. First I would like to speak about the professionalism of these folks. The scheduling process was a breeze. This is very helpful when providing details and specifics of the problem, including pictures of the damaged area. They are very accommodating and give you options on time as well the ways how they can help. The repair team arrived exactly on time. They had a very professional appearance and overall demeanor. My windshield needed to be changed after it had been broken by a stone on highway 101. I called them from home. A couple of hours later a nice and competent person came to my home and replaced the windshield in less than 30 minutes, at a very reasonable price. After several days of heavy rain, no leak. Worst experience ever. I never write reviews about anything, but I had to write this to let other people know about this place. My window was vandalized and I needed a quick fix so I called this place. I was normally going to fix at the dealership but found out the price way above my budget so I decided to give this place a try. The price was okay and the technician arrived on time and fixed my window..only to realize he scratched the interior part of my door. Luckily, I took pictures of my door right before the window fix just in case this kind of situation happens. So when I called the technician about it, he didn't really seem to understand so I called the main office about the scratch. When I told the main office what happened, the person I was talking to, Elise, told me to send the pictures over, which I did. Then she started saying things like how that kind of stuff never happens and how I should have consulted with the technician before I made my payment, lecturing me on how I should thoroughly check before making a payment. (At that point I was just baffled by her audacity) When I told her how the picture proves that the scratch came after the window fix, she kept repeating herself like a broken record how the technicians don't use the tool in that area to scratch it. I paid $395 to fix the window, only to lose another $1000 to fix the interior. They don't even accept the fact that it's their responsibility and their mistake for costing more mess. After finding that my car had been broken-in to and one of the windows were smashed, I had the daunting task of getting the window repaired. I remember doing this once before, about 10 years ago, which was the last time i had to get a window repaired. I know it doesn't sound like such a tough responsibility, I mean how hard can it be to call a company and get a quote to repair a window? Try doing it while stressing out about how you're gonna pay for the repair, while trying to remember what else was in the car that was taken, while going to work, with a hopeless feeling of being violated. Trust, it's HELLA stressful. After calling about 4 auto glass repair shops that were highly rated here on Yelp, one was too expensive (Safelite), another didn't have an opening until the following week, one never answered their phone, and the last one couldn't do a mobile visit. I saw lots of positive reviews for Junior at Globo Auto Glass. I explained to him what happened and which glass needed to be replaced. He gave me a competitive quote and said he could be by in about an hour to do a mobile repair. He came 15 minutes earlier than his stated time and started working right away. He apologized for the inconvenience of having my car broken in to and he explained exactly what he needed to do and what is was going to cost. Had my car broken into Saturday night =[ On Sunday, I yelp car window repair shops, but all of them are closed. I come across Globo Auto Glass, check out their website, and see that they have 24-hour service, so I give them a call. No answer, but then I get a call right back. It's Junior, and I give him all the info he needs about my car. He tells me that he doesn't have the window on hand, but can come by my house Monday morning to fix it. We set the appointment for Monday morning at 10am. Monday morning at 9:45am, he calls and arrives with his truck and tools. In addition, the trim around the windshield no longer sits flat like it did before the windshield replacement.
