Glory Days is one of the best restaurants locally: 4.5/5 for sit-down 2/5 for takeout Glory Days food is always tastes great, however their service has declined. They only have one employee working the pickup counter, taking phone calls, taking pickup orders in restaurant, and giving orders to curbside customers. They prioritize phone orders, so if you're ordering inside you'll have to wait a while. Also, never order curbside because they likely won't find time to bring you your order. You will have to go inside anyways, so just order pickup or eat inside. Lastly, they didn't get the order correct when I went (they forgot our drinks and burger toppings) I will say though their drinks are CHEAP and such a good deal. read more

My husband I drove by this place today and he had it before, it was my first time. I ordered their sampler, husband got the steak and cheese, and we got a bagel burger for our 2 year old. My food was amazing! I got the fried shrimp and the bbq ribs. When I tell you the meat fell off the ribs, I mean it. It was so juicy, tender and delicious. My shrimp was also really good. Horrible experience- we have been coming here for years but tonight was awful. It took forever for our appetizer and then we had to ask the person who brought it to get us another drink since the bartender never came back to check on us. When mine was empty we still could not get the bartender to come back she was checking in every other table but ours for some reason. I asked for the manager and then the bartender finally came over to us and proceeded to tell us not to come at the time we can and they can't keep help and did we want to work there because she needs help! Terrible Bartenders. Came there specifically to watch the NBA playoffs, figured it is a sports bar, it'll be no problem to get a playoff game. Only one game on, and they were Not playing it. I asked the bartender to put it on, said no problem, but did nothing to put the game on. We're new to VA so we're constantly trying and supporting new restaurants to dine in. We decided to get lunch just a couple of months ago at this place but we're disappointed at the food. Ribs were just ok, nothing out of the ordinary... fries were just ok and the bread could be a more authentic corn bread given the food style. Our main problem was the Nachos with chicken we ordered. At first sight the plate looked good but as soon as we got our first nacho it was, just not great. Although the plate looked delicious with the colorful nachos, the cheese was the creamy kind and was somewhat tasteless, which was what set the tone of the entire dish. We ordered a side of guacamole and boy it was bad! It was the worst of our food. It came a little brownish, we clearly knew that they had made it with old avocados or it was and old, already made guac. I am not here to give Just a couple stars and a bad review. My point is to let them know that they could improve their food, so they can have more customers coming. We want to help the community and we want to go out as much as we can and support the local businesses get through these tough times, however we want to eat good stuff when we go to those places. I think these are things that can easily be improved. So you can have first time customers come back for the second, third time and so on. We switched to curbside carry out to be able to continue enjoying the food while keeping social distancing and low contact. We noticed there was always at least one thing wrong with the orders when we got them home but we overlooked it because we generally like this place and mistakes happen. But then they stopped bringing orders to the curb and now you have to go in and get your food, which means you have to be near people who may or may not be wearing masks and touch door handles. Bummer. Also the styrofoam containers are a bummer and are factoring into our next decision on whether to choose them, too. Anyway the Cobb salad is good and my family likes the wings. read more

Our waiter Kevin was completely horrible. I ordered grilled chicken pasta and never received it. When he went over our order he even said it so I don't see why I didn't get my pasta. The burger we got was also absolutely disgusting and didn't taste good at all the bun was soft and wet the burger was burnt. The only half decent thing we got was the slam dunk pretzels which was my dinner unfortunately. I would've said something there but honestly I was so fed up and wanted to leave. I understand the guy is new but he shouldn't be working there.. his attitude is horrible. My family and I had an awesome experience. The food was perfect. My hubby decided to try the "impossible" burger . Let me tell you he was impressed with its flavor. (Visit them and you will know why) I had the ribs, and coconut shrimps YUM!!!, and the kiddos had shrimp linguini and nachos. All were superb. I did paid for lunch for 2 oz Bizon burger GLORYDAYSGRILL FAIRFAX -18.45 ( tax and tip ) very small and overcooked twice. You can buy 16 oz=1Lb fresh Bizon meat at the market for $5.99 Wine by the glass is not very well selected. Service is great, and lot of hard working for low income waiters. I am for the people and workers. Change the food and source better. Does not work any more you put a lot of TV and have sports all day. Went for game 3, expected it to be packed...there were a few people at the bar and a few occupying tables. That alone should have been the first flag but we were hungry, wanted wings and needed TVs to watch the finals. It was a toss up between here and Black Finn which is a little out of our way and they always charge our credit cards 5+ weeks later which is a huge pain in the ass but I think next time we will head over to BF..... I honestly believe part of the reason people like to watch games at bars rather than at home is for the atmosphere etc but it was pretty much deserted for a Sunday night which was slightly disappointing. Our table was fairly large and clearly overwhelming because our waitstaff was having a hard time helping us, it was written all over her face. Food took a century and a half to come out, one order didn't come out. Thought it was weird, friend told me to tell her but I didn't want to make a scene so I asked for another one and it was the same thing. I would check the syrup in your soda machine because the flavoring was completely off for not just mine but Sprites as well. She didn't know if Glory Days carried the beer I asked for? Ordered a Sam Adams, 20 minutes later she brings out my friends beers and I assume they're working on mine...another 10 minutes later she apologizes and says they don't have the beer I actually did pick from the list. I was mentally over wanting a beer after 30 minutes and passed on ordering something else and yes, I know I'm being nitpicky here. The manager? was prompt with the mistake though and apologized sincerely while fixing the order mishap so +1 star for him, I could tell he was really trying. I am just curious to see how this place handles itself if/when there are busy nights. My fiance and I have been in the area for more than a year, and come here when we just want a neighborhood bar atmosphere without crazy prices. The food is usually hit or miss. I usually go for the burger or fish and chips. My fiance loves the reuben and will crave it from time to time. There are plenty of common beers on tap including some local brews. There are daily specials which makes making decisions easier. The service is fast which is appreciated. They also have take out available which is usually ready in 15-20 minutes. It's our go to spot for American food that's less than a 5 minute drive from home. read more

As a longtime customer of the Fairfax location, I was extremely disappointed with the online order I placed on May 8 and the lack of response from the location. First, I opted for the "curbside" option, and provided the make, model, and color of my vehicle. However, when I showed up at my scheduled pickup time, there was no one at curbside to deliver my order, and I had to enter the premises to pickup my order. Second, I opted for a side of vegetables for the kid's cheeseburger order. However, the side order of vegetables was not included in what I received. Third, there was a piece of paper, likely from a slice of cheese, in the "Cheeseburger Trifecta." When I emailed the location to raise these issues, and followed up twice, there was no response. I understand the extreme circumstances we are all facing in light of COVID-19, but the above mentioned errors and failure to respond are inexcusable. read more

To be brief, I'll share our last two: Tonight: We called Glory Days to see if they could seat us for dinner. They said to come at 6:30. We arrived on time and they said it'd be 15 minutes. Baffled as to why they said 6:30, they said the tables needed just had to finish up. The tables had yet to even order! 15 minutes?? We'd have believed them, had it not been for... Last time: Our previous trip there, they said "15 minutes" and we waited almost an hour to be seated. Of course we were told "the table is finishing up" every time we asked for an update. And for what? Wings and standard definition 26" TV's? Don't tell a group of people to drive over at a certain time with no intention of seating them. It's just common decency. I've eaten here several times. I usually sit on the patio. Despite a chill in the air, myself and several other groups were outside on the patio. They have free WiFi, you just need the password. It works better in the restaurant, but I can use it on the patio. I was in the non smoking section. there is another patio area for smokers that was empty today. I noticed that the patio had some wheelchair accessible tables. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, which is as close to the Beef on Weck sandwich that used to be my favorite before they took it off the menu. The prime rib sandwich is thinly sliced steak with sauteed onions. I asked for horseradish for mine. The waitress brought me the creamy sauce style rather than the straight horseradish. It comes with au jus for dipping. I chose broccoli and carrots as my side item. The woman I was with chose the BBQ pork sliders with sweet potato fries. Both meals were good. Our waitress kept our tea refilled without us asking. She was pleasant and attentive despite having another section of tables inside the restaurant. Great service. Great food. Medium was still spicy for me, and I love Buff sauce.... but I powered through my boneless wings at something like 1am. Fun. They do what they do very well.. and for that, you can't be negative. Let me break it down for future folks and past reviewers who obviously were terribly misinformed. Personally, I go mostly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There is no happy hour special on food!!! So there are no half price appetizers, Kristen E. On Mondays, they have a pretty good deal on burgers at $5. The burgers are big and I usually split one with my mom. On Wednesdays, this location has something called 'Wing Night'. Most kids who went to high school in the area are well aware as to what this is - 50 cents a wing (NOT HALF OFF!!!) all day. On Fridays, they also have something called 'Fish Friday' at $9.99 for basically fish and chips. What I like about this location is that they have $5 appetizers after 9PM - every day. Once again, NOT HALF OFF. Gosh, it's like people are misinformed, cheap, and want to complain about it on Yelp. Seriously, if you are able to take advantage of the deals this restaurant has to offer, this place is pretty decent. But this goes for anywhere you go - call ahead, go informed, do your research. A true yelper knows what she/he wants - is on top of his/her game - and informs the public by reviewing with facts. Service - It's honestly a hit or miss. It's never been terrible to the point that I have ever felt like walking out, and I've never received nor expect five star service here. This is Glory Days. If you want to be pampered and treated like a million bucks, they have a Ritz Carlton in D.C. I personally recommend the cheese fries, mac & cheese, and the glory wings. When i first started going to Glory Days I expected it to be one of those dumpy sports bars w/ bad food and bad service. It really is the complete opposite. They do serve bar food --- and are good at it, so i'd be nervous to stray from that and try their steaks or something (seriously, why would someone get steak at a sports bar!) I have had their burgers multiple times and they are cooked well, taaste great and come with a choice of sides (broccoli, potatoes, other veggies or fries). its really nice to get to pick. I also have found that ANYTHING that comes wtih grilled chicken is really good-- i love their salad for when you are trying to be healthy :) The have just changed their menu to look a little "fancier" and i have to say the highlight of my last trip here was the fact that they added a Patty Melt! For anyone who doesn't know what a Patty Melt is, it is basically a mixture of hamburger and grilled cheese w/ grilled onions. Add a piece of chocolate cake and thats a perfect meal for me :) I was excited that they had a half order of nachos and while i am sure most people would not like this, I enjoyed the fact that the nachos had "nacho" cheese that was surprisingly tasty. I also enjoyed the very chunky chilli and a combination of different styles of chips within the nachos. The service is good and they are able to ring up checks with like half the pitcher or half the nachos. And the prices are decent. Came here with a large group on a Tuesday night after a softball game. They let us sit where we wanted so we could be removed from the rest of the patrons, and they had plenty of TVs going with all the games that interested us, an important feat since we were from various parts of the country and therefore had various allegiances. Is it greasy typical bar food? Of course, but it was delicious. The service was also top-notch - I don't think we wanted for anything the entire night. The AC was on a little high for my liking considering it had actually started to become fall outside, but other than that, it was good. The prices are reasonable as well, especially on the drinks and pitchers. 2.5 stars As being one of maybe 3 sports bars in all of Fairfax County (or so it feels), Glory Days fills a necessary void, and does an acceptable job. There are better sports bars, but when your only other option to watch a non-televised Ravens game is to drive out to Crystal City...or Baltimore, well Glory Days suffices. They tend to have every NFL game on and I really like how they actually label each TV with each game. Instead of running around like a fool saying "is that the game over there??" you can just read the signs or match the logo to the game you want. I do not like the layout of TVs, however. All TVs are on the perimeter of the massive room so it's pretty tough to stake out a spot and get close to the TV you want. If you can get lucky though and get seated near that TV, it's not so bad. The audio receivers at each table are also nice, so you aren't just limited to hearing the game that's on the main projector. Food and drinkwise, there are some sandwiches that are good, but overall nothing is particularly remarkable. The nachos were also very disappointing. To top it all off, the cost of beer is extremely offputting. $20+ for a pitcher of Blue Moon?? Ugh! That makes me miss college. They don't even have any drink or food specials on the weekends! Bad service, over-priced, and full of annoying kids. I used to be somewhat of a regular at Glory Days, as I worked in the same shopping center. It is an easy place to go with the guys and have a couple beers. Some of the waitresses are easy on the eyes. They have an outdoor patio, which is great when the weather is nice. The food at Glory Days is decent. They have Wing Night on Wednesdays, where the wings are about 50cents/ea. Everything sounds pretty good, right? Sorry to tell you, it isn't. Although the wings are cheap on wing night, they are some of the worst wings I've EVER had. If you drove an extra couple of miles to Chili's or TGIF or some other generic restaurant/bar, you could easily find better wings. Their burgers are pretty good. The wait staff is usually pretty nice, but they are either too old and grumpy to be working there, or too young and dumb to provide good service. The worst part about Glory Days is the crowd that usually accompanies your experience there. Just about every time I've gone there, it is JAM-PACKED with little kids. For some reason, people love taking their loud, annoying baseball team kids to a bar after the game. I guess it's Glory Days' "thing." I'm not going to try to understand the theme they're going for. This is a very limited review pertaining to NFL broadcasts. I was looking for a sports bar in the area that broadcasts all NFL games and this place is the one. There are plenty of screens with a few large screens used to broadcast popular games of the day. As a Jet fan, I was happy to find a place to watch my favorite team. I ordered their hottest wings which were actually very good - fried right, great sauce, and topped with sliced jalapeños. The service was great and there was a decent amount of energy although the place emptied considerably when the Steeler game concluded at 4:30pm. (The Redskins also were in a bye week). There is plenty of parking as they are located in a large strip mall. read more
