We had a great experience at Glory Days. With a group of 18, the service was as quick as can be expected and very kind and friendly. I had some of the pretzel bites and chips/guac as appetizers and both were good. The chicken cheesesteak was great, too. It's a relatively big place but felt Mom and Pop. I just has a cheese steak delivered First time order from them and last . First, the cheese wasn't melted . Second, I thought it was chicken!! There was some sort of very spicy rib on the meat which obliterated the taste of the protein ..which was steak Third, this meat was NOT sliced steak . Theirs is your typical sports type grill meet place. It's friendly and popular and very loud. The food is ok, good enough to come back. I had the fish and chips and it was pretty greasy but tasty. What really makes this place good is the staff. Great servers and great bar staff. Even the hosts are sweet and helpful and you can see they seem to help each other out. Well, my sister and I went again today for the Special. No one greeted us and the Thursday Special is no more. The website has not been updated and no other special was offered. My sisters order was wrong and needed sent back and my crispy onion straws were limp and far from crispy. I don't see the appeal of this place. I went for lunch with coworkers. The shades were drawn, the lights were low and the music was blaring...at lunch time on a weekday. Last visit there was a foul taste caused by what I would describe as a dirty ice machine. I know because I clean them. No one was drinking anything with ice. This is resolved. Today the same hero burger I always eat was so salty that it was hard to choke down. Both visits the restaurant was way to cold causing your food to get cold before you can finish it. Great server (Mya) and manager (Matthew) and staff who came to our table multiple times. Everyone was friendly and helpful! Matthew delivered a sampler platter to our table since we were first time customers. We both had the ribs+chicken finger platter. All food hot and delicious, including the fries. Food arrived quickly! We liked Glory Days so much that we bought gift cards! Ambiance: I'm not a sports watcher, so the surrounding TVs were lost on me. This is a locals' hidden gem. Great food, service and people. I've never had a bad meal here, and the employees are great. They have nearly no turnover and many of the servers have been here for years. Nice menu - something for all tastes and the drinks are good and reasonably priced. read more

Today was my 4th time there. The last 3xs we had great food and service. Not so much today. Our server was totally inattentive. I had to get up and go find her chatting at the host stand with the manager to get a refill on our beverages. She never came back to see if we needed anything after a different server dropped our food. My mom had a salad w salmon and the salmon was too salty. Whatever was used to season it was bad. They've lost me and my friends. We went Saturday around 5:30 pm and when I asked for a table I was asked if I was a MEMBER of SW Gator Club. Meaning Gators football team. I said no and was told if I wanted to eat there I had to sit outside in the 91 degree heat on the Outside patio. Moms 91. I don't do heat even after growing up here. I've been coming to this place since it was Leroy Selma's and then became Glory Days. And YET we were not welcome. No sign outside. Upon arrival we were offered a sample platter for it being our first time. We were looking for a quiet place to go and enjoy dinner and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent. My wife had the fish fry which was excellent. My son had a burger like he always does. I tried the smothered chicken which was juicy and very flavorful. It was too much for me to eat which is never a bad thing. I have absolutely no complaints about the place. If your looking for a quiet place to enjoy some great food I highly recommend this place! As Lee Roy Selmon's evolved into Glory Days around the Tampa area. Glory Days just converted the old Lee Roy Selmon's a few weeks ago in Fort Myers. They renovated and removed the old booths and walls. Now it is one huge sports bar with over 30 inside TVs going simultaneously with more TVs on the outside seating area as well. Its wide-open interior made it visually comfortable. You will not miss any games here! They also put in Sportsselect.TV at your table so you can select the TV and control the volume at your table. That is a nice feature! The waitstaff could not have been nicer and attentive. They have no problem recommend some of local favorites. Drinks refilled and dishes cleared immediately. The BBQ baby ribs was fall off the bone tender and flavorful! The baked bean was tasty and sweet potato fries was perfectly done. The Glory Days burger is one of my favorite burgers. The fried egg with bacon, onion rings and other ingredient made this a meal by itself. The fish fries are deep fried well and moist and juicy. They were freshly prepared! We were surprised at the food quality at Glory Days! There is an all-day happy hour which includes a 24 oz Margarita, 24 oz Sangria, Tito's, Jameson or Jim Bean's drinks for $5. Nice! In fact, I have two 24 oz Home Run Margarita in one seating! If they keep this up, would highly recommend and come again! read more

After waiting at the table for at least 15 minutes (yes, they were busy, but I was seated immediately) and watching a server (a thin man about 40ish) serve the table behind me (who got there 5 minutes after me) I asked him if he was my server. He said he didn't know. Really? Don't your servers know which tables are theirs? I said I'd been waiting 15 minutes. He said they are very busy and didn't seem like he was going to help me at all so I got up and said "I'm leaving". He replied in a smart ass manner "good". Wow! Is that how you train your servers to treat customers? I went somewhere else where they might appreciate my business. Also, when I went there about 4 months ago I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I had food poisoning within 2 hours. Hadn't been back since so thought I'd give it another try. Food Poisoning! I ordered takeout from here last night. I got the fabulous fish fry for my grandma and the wannabe shrimp appetizer. We also got a slice of chocolate slide cake. I ate 2 pieces of the shrimp and it tasted funky. I knew something was off so I stopped eating it. I had a late lunch so I wasn't that hungry I mostly ordered this for my grandma. Her fish was good, nothing amazing just simple fried fish. The cake was horrible. I took one bite and spit it out. It looked weird, like a dyed black color. The taste was such a fake chocolate flavor that honestly I wouldn't call it chocolate cake. It was like an easy bake oven taste. My grandma said it tasted like licorice. Very upsetting cause we both are chocolate fans and love a rich Natural dark chocolate. Ok now the food poisoning part. I'm writing this the next morning. I woke up with the worst stomach pains. Instantly had to run to the toilet. I'm not shy so I will just say what happened. Awful diarrhea and 20 minutes later I threw up. I know with out a doubt that the shrimp gave me food poisoning. Everything else I ate yesterday was very typical food I would normally eat. That wannabe shrimp was truly WANNABE shrimp lol even the name says it. Such a off taste like it had gone bad that's why I only ate 2. My whole GI tract is aching in pain. Never again. This is disgusting and unacceptable. Wish I could give no stars. read more

I've been to Glory days several times and in the past I've been very disappointed with their service and responsiveness of some of their wait staff. However this visit to Glory Days was totally different. We met and experienced a new bartender named Cindy. at some places you have to flag down the bartender or waitress however Cindy came over to us every 5 8 minutes Amazon always asking what we need. at one point they were over 12 people at the bar and people walking in the front entrance and Cindy still managed to handle all of those interactions smoothly and with much attention to good customer service. if you're going to Glory Days find out when Cindy's there and sit at the bar and she will definitely take good care of you. read more
