Sorry to say another $10.00 coupon will not bring us back here. The breading on the shrimp was greasy, overcooked and so thick I had to peel it off in order to eat the shrimp. French fries were so salty and tasteless. The cole slaw was mostly cabbage with very little or no dressing and very bland. My husband had the upgraded burger that was not worth the extra price. This is my new favorite restaurant! I've been three times now and each time the customer service has been wonderful! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The menu has a lot of different options and prices are fair. Because of baseball we have been to many Glory Days in our lifetime and this one by far is the best one of all. Extremely clean and nice looking. We ordered the fried zucchinis and the fire grilled wings, which we had eaten before and they were both much much better than anywhere else. And the customer service was excellent. Decided to go back to Glory Days while in Sarasota Saturday. Certainly had a very different experience this time. As usual, the food was outstanding. I wish I could say the same for the staff. Our waitress, Trista was so unorganized, forgetful and provide unacceptable service. Four customers came in , were seated and received their food 15 minutes before us. We ordered 1 appetizer, a cup of soup, and a salad. We waited 45 minutes for our meal which is certainly not typical. read more

We visited this location on a Friday night and it was packed. Great tv's to watch the ballgames. The cauliflower wings were quite good and so were the Mac N Cheese bites. The fish fry was yummy. We did have an issue with the build your own burger. You are asked to pay an extra $3 for a Beyond Burger patty. We did, but the problem is the food served was NOT a beyond product. It bothers me that you are upcharged for a name brand and given a cheaper substitute and this is what took place here. Our Server was fine. Our initial silverware was totally covered with food stuff from a prior guest which is nasty. A replacement was quickly made when we asked. The crowd was fun and this place could really be better with just some fine tuning. I am not sure if it is because they are short staffed but the tables sat dirty and unbussed for hours after the patrons vacated. I own a large training company in Sarasota, FL where our clients (over 1,000 annually) travel from across the US (sometimes further) to attend classes with our company. We use Glory Days (formally Lee Roy Selmons) for catering up to 3 times a week. Our clients "favorite days" are Glory Days. The quality is excellent, the portions are generous and the service is second to none. Our company and clients are always extremely pleased with the outstanding experience every time. Additionally - I visit the restaurant at least once every couple weeks (when I am in town) and it is one of my favorite local restaurants. Beyond the food - the people who work here make you feel welcome and part of the family. Dining out is a complete experience including food, atmosphere and service - and this restaurant does it right. While I was certainly a fan of the Lee Roy Selmons brand (and like things to stay the same) - I can say my first dine in experience (couple days ago) with Glory Days was awesome. I brought family and friends - everyone was impressed. The new menu choices reach outside of the "typical" bar food with tons of options. I was there on Monday night - was informed of discounted burgers - ordered the Bison Burger (impressed it was included on the special) and it was exceptional. I am excited to try the Monte Cristo on my next visit. If you are in the area - this is a great place to eat! read more

This place is wonderful!!! It has all the accurtrements you need to make it an all-sports pub and grill. I tried out the bleu burger. It was great, and the service under the care of Karmin was spot-on. First rate all the way. She definitely took care of us throughout our stay. I didn't really want to dine here but I was with 3 others so I just went with the flow. To me the name and look of the place from the outside looked like it would be a bit cheeeezzy and a much younger crowd since it is a sports bar. (I ended up being wrong on that assumption). I didn't want to chance a major dinner As I figured it would be best to stick with a burger or quesadilla. I guess I was still being a bit judge-mental. Our server was very efficient and good. Turns out the four of us all stuck to quesadilla, burgers and roast beef dip sandwich...no one went with a dinner. The complimentary bread basket was fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the pretzel bread. I also was pleasantly surprised that my quesadilla was delicious and a generous portion. The place was quite crowded. It was all way better than I expected and still I don't know why but I don't see myself running back too soon. Not sure the reason. Even my leftover quesadilla was delicious heated up the next day. Tonight Christy behind the bar gave amazing service, somehow remembered the name of every customer at the bar and was quick to refill my beer when it was low. I really like Glory Days. It's one of the few restaurants my whole family is happy to go to. I personally like the fried shrimp and fish tacos. My picky son loves the cheeseburgers, and my daughter gets the shrimp kids meal. But you do only get like four shrimp so for older kids better off ordering the adult portion. The restaurant always seems pretty clean, not crowded, we always get a comfortable booth, and so far friendly servers and the prices aren't bad either. read more

A shell of what Lee Roy Selmons was this place has basically the same food with different names. Same sports vibe with a slightly updated appearance indoors. More TVs than Lee Roy's and more tables. The food is good with mostly everything having a classy bar food vibe. Overall good food, nice indoors nothing crazy though. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because the manager did her job well. In the weeds on a Sunday lunch 25 minute wait. Hostess took our phone number so we steeped out to have a drink or two at another establishment. 60 minutes later we returned place was empty and when we said something about not receiving a call she said she called twice. Nah didn't happen. Any how we still decided to have a meal and spend our hard earned capital at this establishment. BURGERS times 3 two medium and one medium well. 25 minutes later I asked the waitress if everything was ok in BOH she told me that they had two of the burgers done and waiting on one . I said well can you bring the 2 that are done because if they are cold when we get them that they will get sent back then she back tracked and said they were still on the grill..I'm confused now ! Few minutes pass and she brings out the two burgers that were supposed to be medium and says she's waiting on the other one still. Well duh its seems that way sweetheart lol ! Soo I looked at mine it had shredded lettuce on it which I asked to be removed ewww gross . Lettuce is cool but shredded lettuce on sandwiches and burgers is very cheap and grooooss! Took my burger off the bun and broke it in two because I knew it was over cooked and sure enough it was well done smoking hot but well done sorry Charlie ! I made it a point to tell her perior to that it would be sent back if it was medium well and not medium! I didn't have time to wait for a refire. Manager brings out the mid well burger and apologizes and tells us that the kitchen didn't have the check. Ok well whatever works boss lady. She took care of the check and insist that I take a BBQ chicken salad to go . Only issue I have with the salad is the shredded lettuce once again and a little chicken skin my salad which extra gross. Ok, so this place used to be one of my favorite Sarasota staples when it was Leeroy Selmons. Visited last night for some late night appetizers. The food was great. Wings were fantastic. Ambiance, not so much. Outdated kiddy pop music played the entire time with songs that are so played out and lame I would rather listen to silence. What is gone is the fantastic round booths they used to have in the bar area. Why get rid of those? Now they have smaller booths which are wide open on either side and give you no sense of privacy whatsoever. The lighting in the bar area pretty much beams right down on your face. Stopped in there while down in Sarasota. It was pretty busy for a weekday at 3pm - had a great veggie bowl and bf had a burger. The waiter helped me customize the bowl which wasn't on the menu. I do not recommend this place. I ordered the rice bowl with chicken and the dish is really just w spoonful of white rice on top of a huge lettuce bed and some chicken that had no taste. We've been to glory days numerous times. Every time we go we freeze! They must have the air conditioner really low. The food has usually been good. Tonite however it was horrible! I got baby back ribs and they definitely weren't baby back. They were tough and tasted horrible. My husband got the philly cheese steak and it was tough.
