Our club met at Lee Roy's three times a week. We liked it. Glory Days is pretty good also. I really like the variety of chicken wings styles and sauces. Salads are good and filling. The burgers are good. There are flaws, though. The Clam Chowder should be called Potato Chowder. They say that it's the same recipe as Fenway Park in Boston. I'm not sure that's a good thing to advertise - isn't stadium food of low quality and high cost? Now, if they said same recipe as Legal Seafood in Boston, that would be something. They also got rid of the Gumbo, which was outstanding. The onion rings are nothing to write home about. I think they are frozen and readymade. Yuk. The service is generally good and they kept the awards program. Our club decided to keep coming here. It's pretty good bar food. read more

Very pleasantly surprised with food quality, our service was excellent as well, our server, Steven B was pleasant and attentive. I had the bowl of rice/ vegetables with beef tips and it was really good. My wife's dry rub ribs with the sides were very good as well. The new decor is nice, fresh, and looks very clean and more cheerful than when the place was operated as Leroy Selmon place. First of all... Great service from the time you walk in the door to the minute you leave. I had the Fish and chips. The fish was some of the best fried fish I have ever had! The chips were nothing special but the Fish was awesome! My wife ordered the chicken and waffles which was also delicious. We will definitely go back. read more

We had a team dinner there and we had an amazing experience, we had this waiter Devin. He was by far the coolest server I have ever had. He went along with our jokes and made it an awesome experience. He even went out of his way to talk to us about gaming and sports. If I lived in the area I would be coming here all the time. Glory Days went above and beyond for us this past weekend. Food was incredible, service was great. The severs had great personalities and handled our children well. We went 2 days in a row with our baseball team and families. First day we had about 20 and the next day 40 people. They accommodated us very well and we are very pleased. The service while slow is friendly. There are enough TVs to help you ignore your family. Along with the service the waters seem to be rather pushy for the more expensive food. It is not a environmentally conscious. I would not recommend ordering their burgers, they put far too much lettuce and overcook it. Pleasant surprise! When this place first opened it didn't have great reviews on yelp so we never went. Decided to check it out tonight. Great service from all staff (especially server Steven) and food was really good! Kids pizza is HUGE (about 12x12!), same size as my enormous and delicious smoked chicken flatbread. I really liked how their drink menu included prices, can't count on that at a lot of places. Dinner for 2 adults and two kids with 3 craft beers was only $52. This place used to be Leroy Selmon's, and while they changed their name, the food is still just as bad. My company orders from them a couple of times a week and I would rather pay out of pocket for lunch anywhere else in the region than get a free lunch here. Sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic! In about 5 minutes Jackie who was the manager on staff refused to serve my friend saying he was too loud when we just walked in. Served my bf and I who were white whereas our friend was black. Would never eat her again for how awful the manager was to our friend. we had a great time at this place last night. First off, I want to thank the manager and wait staff for taking my ridiculos celery allergy as seriously as they did. The waitress immediately got the manager when I told her of it, and he told me everything that was off limits on their menu, then had my food cooked in seperate pans to ensure no cross contamination. He came out several times during the meal to check on us. We were fine! The food was very good. A basket of chips and salsa were shared by the table, and fresh chips were offered, as they are free refills, but declined so we could have room for dinner. I had the BOM burger, cooked perfectly, veggies were fresh and crisp. The manager questioned the inclusion of "natural flavorings" as a possible celery contaminant but in both our experience that isnt the case and I risked it. Glad I did because it was ok for the allergy and very tasty. I also got pan fried Brussels sprouts with extra butter as my side, as anything fried was off limits due to cross contamination. They were also very tasty. Around the table a swiss and mushroom burger was proclaimed delicious and was devoured. They handled a keto friend with no problem, giving her a bunless burger and a side salad instead of fries. She said her burger was also very good and well cooked. Our gluten free guys was surprised and pleased to find a gluten free bun available and happily joined us in a burger feats and was very happy. An appetizer of sweet potato fries was huge and sharable, and very much enjoyed. The waitress kept up with our party of 6 with no problem, keeping our drinks filled and checking in us without being over bearing. As for the place, lots of TVs and the coolest thing was these individual speakers on the table, that made it so you could listen to your choice of program without it blaring across the restaurant.It would have been fantastic for someone with kids, as they had Disney Jr on one TV, so the kids could listen to that and not disturb the baseball watchers at the next table. I have been here twice with family and out of town family. Everyone loved this place! It is the location that used to be a Lee Roy Selmon's. This is sports pub or gastro pub food. A small chain restaurant with about 30 restaurants in the US. This restaurant is a nice change from some of the expensive pretentious restaurants in this area. The menu here amazing, everything looks good, I want to try everything! I've had the burgers, delicious! Cooked how you want! The wings were great, awesome sauces and dry rubs. Try the tangy buffalo, a little different than the normal buffalo sauce, way better! Happy hour drinks all day. Very reasonable priced beers/wines/mixed drinks. The servers are excellent and so is management. Awesome cooks in this kitchen! Can't wait to come back, their fried chicken and waffles looked amazing, I will try that next. read more

We were long time fans of Leroy Selmon's Restaurant, so we decided to try Glory Days which has acquired the Selmon's chain. We were happy to see a nice selection of beers on the menu, including some local brews that we love - Motorworks "Pulp Friction" and Coppertail's "Free Dive". We ordered an appetizer of Zucchini Fries, that we always loved at Selmon's. They tasted the same, the only down side was that they were served in a basket and sitting in a layer of grease. Disappointing since they were never greasy when we ordered them off of the Selmon's menu. I ordered the "BBQ Chicken Salad" as the description was very similar to the "Smoked Chicken Salad" that was one of my favorites on the Selmon's menu. The only difference was that it had fresh basil in it. It was quite tasty. My husband ordered the "Chicken and Waffles". It said it was good and liked that the mashed potato side no longer had corn it. Our server was Victoria and she was excellent. Overall a very good experience. read more

This was our first visit since Selmon's became Glory Days. I was so relieved to discover that not only were my favorite dishes still available, but they were even better than they had been! The burgers were excellent, cooked to the requested temperature and really tasty. The fries and onion rings were crispy and delicious. The chicken wings (my favorite thing at Selmon's) were as delicious as ever and there are many new, interesting options to try! The service was excellent too! In the former LeeRoy Selman's site, if you're going to put wings on your menu, they'd better be awesome. They are. Excellent service (ask for Tyler). The blackberry Mojitos are incredible. The macaroni and cheese burger is to die for (ask them to substitute the bison burger, it's worth the extra $2). The panko crusted onion rings will leave you wanting more. Highly recommended. We visited Glory Days 1 day after it opened (although we were not aware that they had just opened). We were seated promptly and our server offered helpful tips about the menu items. My husband ordered the wings with their special rub and a loaded baked potato without the cheese. I ordered the chicken wrap sandwich with fries. I requested that the chicken be warm. When our food came, the server noticed that there was cheese on the potato so she promptly retreated to the kitchen to retrieve another one. When she returned I informed her that my chicken was cold, but that I would just eat the sandwich as it was. She insisted upon bringing another one, and did so promptly. While we ate, several managers stopped by our table to make sure that we were satisfied. We were! The food was very good and my husband, who is super picky, declared the wings the best he has had in Sarasota. Finally, when the bill came, they had comped us the chicken sandwich! This was totally unnecessary but greatly appreciated. We will definitely return! read more

Ironically the name of this restaurant is very fitting since the Glory Days of the former Lee Roy Selmons have come and gone... The service was poor especially for a Wednesday night with probably two dozen customer tops. Example: my tea came with very little ice, which promptly melted since the tea was not cold to begin with. The server stated she would bring some ice to replenish it, I patiently waited and waited. I almost went to the bar to grab some myself, but after ten minutes the waitress finally came back. The food was mediocre at best, 1.99 upcharge for onion rings that were lukewarm and soggy. The edges on the egg for the Glory Burger were burned and the yolk was cooked through, so it wasn't sunny side up rather over hard. The burger itself was order to be a medium, but came out medium rare. Saving grace for the burger was they had Tabasco on the table to make it palatable. I wasn't the only one at the table who was dismayed, a group of us (5) wanted to try a new place, but unanimous decision is we won't be returning. read more
