Glory Days is FANTASTIC! Part of this is because of Casey behind the bar! I absolutely love the drinks, food and service. You must check out Glory Days Grill in Sarasota, FL! There's plenty of places to park outside in the shared businesses. They have so many TVs inside so you can enjoy watching sports while you eat. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can experience the exceptional servers. One of them being Casey. She is kind and helpful. She takes the time to know her customers which is nice. After getting a drink, you should try their fried pickles. They are cooked to perfection and have a great flavor. I enjoyed the shrimp platter for my main entree. My family enjoyed the reuben, grilled chicken and wings. We all shared the Bourbon Butter Cake for dessert. Casey did not steer us wrong. Overall, you should definitely check out Glory Days Grill because they have great food, drinks and wonderful people like Casey who work here.

Great service on a Saturday afternoon. Food was hot and tasty. Sweet tea was perfectly not too sweet. First visit but won't be the last. The dry rub wings are absolute fire. Montecristo was tasty and light. Fries were great. The atmosphere is kinda like an Irish pub sports bar without the Irish pub part. Lots of TVs, lots of wood decor, full bar, tables, booths, high tops, and patio seating with room for groups over 20! Military/heroes discount friendly!

Spent the day in Sarasota and decided on Glory Days for lunch after visiting the Sarasota Art Museum. The location is great, as it's among various restaurants and shops, making for a great outing for all. The vibe at Glory Days is laid-back and family-friendly, with plenty of TVs and a sports-bar feel. Service was friendly and attentive, even though it took a while to be seated, although the restaurant wasn't crowded. I had the grouper sandwich, which was fresh, flaky, and cooked just right. It had a nice golden crust that gave a light crunch without overpowering the fish. Served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce, tomato, and a tangy tartar sauce, it struck the perfect balance between hearty and refreshing. The sandwich was paired with fries that were hot, crispy, and generously portioned. If you're in the Sarasota area and in the mood for a casual setting, this place won't disappoint.

Service was great and ambiance is a clean and low key American grill with plenty of TVs. The food was better than average and the chicken tenders were made in house. Pretzel appetizer was delicious!! Hubby said the Cheeseburger was great. My only complaints are the pub chips tasted a little strange with the seasoning they add and the side salad didn't have enough dressing. We will definitely stop in again!

It took a little while to be seated even though there wasn't many people dining inside. Once we were seated everything else was fine. The fried grouper sandwich was great and they have the perfect peach sweet tea.

    Yummy fish, shrimp, and fries!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received tonight…read more Earlier this week, I visited this establishment on both Monday and Tuesday and received attentive service. However, my experience on Wednesday was completely unacceptable. When I walked in and stood at the bar, there was a white female bartender and a Hispanic male bartender working. The female bartender made no effort whatsoever to acknowledge my presence. She did not greet me, ask if I needed anything, or even make eye contact. Instead, she simply moved to another register and ignored me entirely. The only reason I was eventually served was because the Hispanic male bartender noticed me, because he came in, greeted me, and promptly took my drink order. He was professional, attentive, and the only bright spot of an otherwise terrible experience. As a patron staying at the hotel next door and someone who has spent money at this establishment multiple times this week, I find this level of service unacceptable. There are plenty of bars in the area with staff who understand basic customer service and know how to treat guests with respect. I don't know the name of the female bartender who ignored me, but based on this experience alone, I would not recommend visiting on Wednesday nights--or any night she is working. Customers deserve to be acknowledged and treated with courtesy, and unfortunately that was not the case tonight.

We were greeted immediately upon arriving and sat right away. Our server, Justin, arrived at our table immediately. He was very friendly, professional and sincere. And with OUT being annoying, was vigilant in getting our drink orders and then our food decisions. We chose the chicken fingers & fries app, 2 burgers and a Cobb salad. Justin then asked if we wanted all the food together or he'll wait 3 minutes after our chicken finger app. We chose for him to order our entrees after the app was delivered. LITERALLY, LITERALLY 30 seconds after he walked away from our table, our chicken finger appetizer was delivered. WAYYYYYY to quickly we all thought, and we were right. Both the chicken fingers and fries were BARELY warm! They basically just sent us out an order that was very obviously sitting under the warmer TOO LONG! Shame on them for 'selling' dead food. Justin came by and apologized and took the plate. After a few minutes, the plate came out again, NOT hot but warmer/hotter than the first one. Our entrees were delivered about 5 minutes later. The burgers were cooked perfectly to what we asked for and the salad was cold. Now the sides we ordered with our burgers: Sweet potato fries, NOT hot and crunchy and served with pieces of their fried Brussel sprouts on the bottom. The other burger had Onion Ring as a side. WARM, NOT HOT, soft not crunchy, and just overall nasty. We were hungry and I did not complain when Justin checked back with us. Overall, the problem was anything fried. So whoever worked the 'inside' and 'outside' kitchen windows obviously were just grabbing anything that they needed to 'sell'. Bathrooms were clean but this was the first time that I had bad food. I personally feel that this was a completely avoidable situation...and I blame kitchen staff for not taking the time to serve their normally very good food. There are soooooo many other restaurants now in the area, they can't afford to take short cuts with their food!

From our table, I could actually see my chicken sandwich sitting in the service window for quite some time before it was finally brought out. When the food arrived, the sandwich, fries, and cheese were all cold. I politely asked for the meal to be remade and inquired whether it would take another 30 minutes. Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut.

The windows…read moreare garage doors, there is an antique car (real or replica?) suspended from the ceiling and the bars have a blue glow. Even the napkin rings are car parts like a hose pipe connector. The theme is clever and well done. There are large TVs with various sports channels mounted around the perimeter. Even with the TVs muted, the restaurant was quite loud with the hard surfaces echoing the sound. The service was friendly, quick and attentive. Our waitress checked back several times to see if we needed anything. My husband ordered a basic cheeseburger with kettle chips. They cleverly brand their logo into the top bun which was a nice touch, keeping with the theme. He thought his burger was excellent. A table near us had ordered the ribs which looked very tempting. On to my meal. When I go to a restaurant, I really appreciate--and usually expect-- freshly made food with fresh ingredients. I cook fresh ingredients at home and don't like being served pre-made frozen food when I eat out. My meal was a bit disappointing. I was in the mood for soup and salad. I ordered the garden salad with strawberry vinaigrette which was excellent. I appreciated the extended list of unusual dressings and was not disappointed with this simple, fresh selection. I also ordered the onion soup which came with a nice helping of melted mozzarella cheese. I prefer a Swiss / gruyere combo on my onion soup but the menu clearly stated it was served with mozzarella so I accepted this second best preparation. The cheese topping was good but I was very disappointed with the broth. The broth tasted like it was a commercial canned or bullion base. The flavor got stronger as I reached the bottom of the bowl so I suspect a bullion that settled over the course of the meal and created a strong, somewhat over-powering flavor. I also ordered a side of onion rings. I enjoy fresh, thick cut onion rings that are hand battered and deep fried. The type where you take a bite and hot, fresh onion slides into your mouth with some of the crunchy coating. That is not the type of onion rings served at Ford's Garage. These were the frozen, dump them in a fryer like McDonald's fries, type onion rings. You can probably get them at Costco. We will visit this restaurant again and I'll see if I agree with my husband's "great burger" assessment. I'll let you know.
